Great picture and like all the smart features and how easy it is to access Netflix, etc. Lightweight and easy to mount. Only thing I don’t like is the brightness changes often on its own. I think there may be a way to fix this but haven’t looked into it yet.

Here is my bullet point by bullet point review. My main concerns when making this purchase were: -4K quality in comparison to competitors -Functionality without a streaming device - User interface to a small extent - Price (shopping on Black Friday) Got this TV for $399 pre-black Friday. Knew going into the purchase this was a mid range 4k smart TV, and it performs as advertised. 4K isn't phenomenal on native apps over wifi, but not your only connection option... and the Samsung UI is unreliable at best, apps frequently crash, though native Netflix and YouTube apps do work well, most anything else is buggy at best. Works as advertised. Pros: -4K Ultra HD is definitely there. Not going to compete with it's bigger brothers and sisters in the $750-$1000+ price range, but great quality compared to it's competitors in that price range. Cons: -You'll need an Ethernet connection to truly experience the 4K capabilities of your TV. I would also recommend a fire TV/Apple TV/ whatever but to each is own. It's not necessary. -You must keep track of your remote, or if you have a Samsung phone, keep Samsung Smart View on your phone. You'll get trapped in apps other wise, and I don't care what the manual says... maybe my button is broken, but holding the button down does not always force close the app, while it does sometimes. Neutral: -User interface definitely isn't as good as let's say LG's, but it is functional. Sometimes annoying to navigate, and a lot of apps crash frequently... In my experience, namely WWE network, HBO now, and the UFC app. Use a streaming device and you'll be fine. -As far as sound goes, this TV is right down the lines average. Once again, as advertised. Standard viewing you will have to turn it up about a quarter of the way (25-35/100), and whenever you're getting into what you're watching or you watch something that is... Quiet I guess? You'll have it up to 50-60. They definitely want you to buy their sound bar. - The TV has a tendency to want you to re-setup your internet connection despite nothing changing when using any one particular app for an extended period of time. Most likely related to apps that crash, not to endorse the default apps further but in the interest of disclosure have not had issues with Netflix or YouTube, it's the ones that developers have had to make that are shoddy, admittedly. Overall, I give this four stars. It has worked exactly as advertised, gave me exactly what I was looking for, and the flaws that admittedly come with the TV are what you would refer to as first world problems that are easily overcome, such as closing the app and reopening, or using a streaming device as opposed to the native apps. Best used with a sound bar or home theater system, but for the price and the convenience of ordering online through best buy, all I had to do was my research, go look at the TVs at electronics stores and YouTube knowing which models I was interested in and comparing, it was fairly easy to come to a decision, and I'm happy with the purchase.

This TV has an excellent picture. The picture is clear from edge to edge and has great color. Once again Samsung has produced a quality TV at a great price.

I still cannot believe I got it under $450. 3 mins to install and easy to work with. Best picture and sound. excellent wi-fi recognition. cons: 1. too short power cable. 2. tv stand base looks cheap plastic

I like it alot. Nice smooth picture. I got the 5 year warranty. I hope this one doesn't take a dump on me. I had a 50" insignia for 3.5 years and got the black screen the other day. This is also real crisp for gaming. Buy it now like if your kids life depended on it.

This TV has a phenomenal picture. This is the largest TV we have purchased for our home and we love it. The picture is so clear and crisp that you feel as though you are inside the scene. The smart hub is very easy to connect and operate to watch Netflix in minutes.

I purchased this TV on-line and picked it up at the store. Quick and easy, they even carried it out and loaded it for me.The quality of this TV is outstanding. Samsung makes some of the best electronics. I plan to buy another TV soon and it will also be a Samsung.

So far we love this tv! The picture is really clear and the sound is great. The apps and add one are so easy to set up and use. Still playing with all the features and haven’t played any video games on it yet, but feel very happy with this purchase for the price!

We bought this TV to replace the first flatscreen we ever bought and the picture is so much better. The installation was easy and we were able to use the same wall-mount bracket we already had. The menu is easy to navigate. We are very happy with this purchase!

We were lucky enough to get this television during the Black Friday sale, and it was worth every penny. The screen is large and beautiful. The sound is great; the way the apps are set up is nice. I honestly cannot think of a negative thing to say about this tv.

I only purchase Samsung products. So this purchase was a no-brainer. Quality is AMAZING, picture quality is far beyond my expectations. just have to get use to the wonderful clear picture (laughing hystericallllly)!!! And that Black Friday price was perfect.

Alright, first T.V I bought was a 1080p HDTV. Well honestly i would spend more just to get this samsung 50" 4k ultra HDTV. Best decision ever! Picture is GREAT and I have had no problems. Really easy set up and easy to navigate with remote and with the phone app! Totally worth the money for a decent entry level 4k t.v! I would spend the $499.00 for the seven series that just came out though! Anyways, don't go lg or anything else. Samsung honestly has a perfect t.v right here! & you should get a sound bar.. It makes watching and playing video games so much better!!

i was searching for a replacement TV. I have had great experiences with Samsung products. I kept researching for a Smart TV that would fit in my limited space for weeks at various sites. This unit fit the bill and on Black Friday could not beat the price.

You won't find a better quality TV set for the same price I paid for this 50 inch Samsung 4K. This is my first 4K TV I purchase, and wow, was blown away at the picture quality between my old TV set and this new TV. Just regret not buying one sooner, ...

I bought this Samsung expecting great things. It does deliver a wonderful picture and has good features, but the picture quality really drops significantly at viewing angles greater than 15 degrees. This just wouldn't work in my room.

Samsung always has the best picture and this tv doesn’t disappoint. I replaced a Sony with this and the only issue I have with the Samsung is that it only has two HD ports. My Sony had four and it was only a 40”. That meant once I connected the satellite, I had to choose which ONE other item I wanted to hook up to it. That stinks! Everything else was great though!

I’ve always had a thing for Samsung TVs! I was torn between the 50” and 65”, but by reading the reviews, I HAD to go with the 50”. It’s the perfect size for our living room, and makes a great gamers tv! The sound is awesome and picture quality is amazing! The only reason why I knocked off one star is because of the TV stand; it looks like the tv is tilting back.

Great sound and picture quality. This is my first Smart 4K TV and it was so easy to get setup on wifi and start watching my favorite programs.

This TV is easy to set up. my only problem is the connections are hard to get to if your tv is mounted straight up to the wall. you cannot reach them easily unless you take the tv down. If you have a mount that comes off the wall then you wouldn’t have a problem. No problems otherwise.
