    Great TV for the price

Purchased as part of Black Friday sale and must say this tv is definitely a great budget buy. As a Black Friday tv, there are two things you should note: 1) the tv only has two hdmi inputs & 1 optical out. Though you can just use the optical out, if you plan on utilizing hdmi arc for bitstreaming content in Dolby digital you might want to get a 4k hdmi switch along with the tv. & 2) the HDR effect is not stellar when lights are one, which may be due to light sensor on the front of the tv (don’t put your soundbar in front of your tv). Overall, a great budget 4k tv from a reputable manufacturer.

By far the worst tv we’ve ever owned. It lags, shuts down apps randomly, amazon prime works whenever it feels like it and the picture is bleh. At first I wondered if the laggy app and remote issues were a connection problem until we got the same exact TVs at my work (not by my recommendation) and they have the same exact problem. Also, pandora stopped working a couple weeks ago and I’ve just given up trying to listen to music. I’m now limited to Netflix and Hulu since no other apps want to work. I bought this pile of hot trash 4 months ago. I miss my old Vizio.

This is my first smart TV, so I didn't want to spend a ton of money. I am extremely happy with the purchase, the picture is great, even if you are not watching in 4K, it has good sound, and for the most part, the apps work without buffering. I do opt to use my FireTV since the only app I have issues with is the DVR portion of my DirecTV. That is slow and buffers a lot when I try to watch the cloud DVR. I am guessing the processor in this Samsung model is not as current as my Fire TV processor. I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone that has never purchased a Smart TV and is on a budget.

Samsung always delivers when it comes to picture. Looks amazing and the speakers actually sound pretty good too especially in movie mode. There’s a significant amount of bass that comes out of the tv considering how flat it is. Has a very easy, user friendly, and fast loading smart hub that doesn’t require you to set up a google or any other account to be able to use in like other experiences I’ve had with different brands. Although, you can sign up with Samsung to be able to use the remote on your phone. Glad I chose to buy this and will probably be replacing other TVs in the house with this one in the near future.

This is my first 4K television. In awe when we first plugged the tv. The picture was so beautiful. The sound is pretty good as well. Only 2 HDMI ports which is a con. I haven’t had any issues with streaming Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, or HBONOW. We have the TV hard wired in our router. Just a week later and I notice a small white dot on the middle of the screen. A dead pixel. I always notice it, but it’s easily forgotten. My fingers are crossed that more pixels don’t die and ruin the display. This is my first Samsung tv. Not happy with the dead pixel

    Some network issues

Got this for my home office. It's my first 4k TV and the price was hard to pass up. One issue I have is that every couple of days, I have to reset the network settings on the TV because it won't connect to my WiFi. After resetting I have to re-select my WiFi network and re-enter my password. I tried connecting using DHCP as well as hard-coded IP address, but it still does not connect after a day or two. I have multiple devices connected to my WiFi, and this is the only device that does this. It's a nuisance, otherwise everything works just fine.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung 50” NU6900 4K Smart TV. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing WiFi connection issues.

Your router location and distance from the TV are important considerations -- having them both on the same floor with minimal interference blocking the signal (like a wall, etc.) will improve connection. You may also want to try wired LAN, if possible, since the connection will be faster and more reliable.

extremely thin and sleek design, so it looks pretty cool. The picture quality is good but it doesn't blow your mind though. when comparing to my sony bravia 4k you can def tell the difference but the samsung was only like $300 so its still a win. where it really shines though is its sound quality. it delivers a really nice rich full sound to it with nice bass. The sound quality is honestly my favorite part about it. if you can get it on sale go for it. but if you really want a nice 4k that makes you go WOW save your money and buy one around that $1000. but again for the price I paid I am happy with it

I finally kicked the bucket and upgraded from my 43in flatscreen to this beauty. I got it on sale on Black Friday and it amazing. It's thin on the back which I like and the screen itself is very large. The volume is amazing and the quality is even better. It has a game mode setting which is perfect for me since that's almost all I do. It does take a while of messing with the picture settings to get that perfect crisp picture which I'm still looking for. Now all I need to do is upgrade to an Xbox One X for that ultra 4k display. Overall amazing Tv and no regrets at all maybe just wish it was even bigger !

My last Samsung was back in 2003, a rear-projection, 40" model, which I enjoyed to its last day. I decided to upgrade from my burned-in/burned-out Proscan 40" LED to a 50" Samsung. I have been impressed by the solid colors, easy user interface, and revealing 4K movies and shows. Most of the reviews do point out that more HDMI inputs would've been great (I agree). My uses are just my FiOs tv and LG 4K/Blu-Ray player, so I didn't need more. I got the online price ($329!!!) and have not looked back. Awesome purchase with ZERO problems. Nice job, Samsung!

Bought this TV knowing that is a Samsung TV but not was u disappointed. Pros: beautiful picture Netflix app loads perfectly Cons: Hulu almost never loads and when it does, there's no sound. Reinstalled the app and nothing. Reset TV, nothing. Amazon prime video loads maybe 1 out of 10 times and lags the entire time if it loads. Chromecast works for 45 minutes and then audio goes out. Going to return this TV. So sad that when you see a good quality manufacture sell a cheap quality item for the holiday season and it doesn't live up to the same standard as their normal products.

Took me three tries to get a TV that wasn't damaged or missing parts in order to have a complete package. Really Poor inventory management by Best Buy. 1st TV was heavily damaged when box was opened also was accused of being the one who damaged. 2nd was missing remote and power cord option. Third, finally had a complete TV in a box. Very inconvenient, to have to return three times for a one item. Trying to get my folks a new TV and this store was the closet to them, I have had good experiences in the past, but this time was horrible!!! Very disappointing.

    Beautiful Picture, Sound Quality

I love everything about this TV. After my 2 year old pelted his sippy cup into my 55' LG, I went back to a small rinky dink television, waiting to buy another flat screen. I finally decided a couple of days after Black Friday to purchase the Samsung, as it was on sale. I do NOT regret it. I did not have to tweak the features at all they were actually set perfect to my taste! The picture, sound...love it. My 2 year old son stares at it, and I have to give him the eye and warn him like "Hey...not this one this time...don't even get any ideas into your head!" Luckily it is out of his reach now!! :D

Nice looking, but poor picture and weak processor

This TV is pretty nice looking, but when it comes to displaying the latest content in 4K it really falls short, which is surprising for Samsung. What's very noticeable, especially when viewing HDR content is the horrible light bleed this set produces. I was shocked at the levels of light bleed, and it was impossible to fix. I was also very disappointed in the speed of the menus and Smart capabilities. The processor must be a cheap one because the interface is very sluggish. We decided to swap this out for the 50" 4K LG at the same price point and we couldn't be happier - it's a way better model.

Overall, a very good TV considering I paid around $300. The picture quality is very good and the speaker sound quality was good as well, although we did end up purchasing a sound bar afterwards. The only disappointment is that it only has 2 HDMI ports and it has no RCA connections at all, so that is something to be aware of. In my case I won't need RCA for the room I am using this TV, but if you do need a TV with features like this you will need to shell out more and get a more expensive model. However, for the price you pay, this is a very good TV and we are very happy with it.

The TV has sound problem, and recently TV switch off and on by itself and at a point it makes a sound from within. The screen also at some point, look green and shaky. When I turn off TV, it switch on itself again right away. The TV had issues at store and it was placed on online as new. There was no refurbish when buying but after using for a while, the real problems has started showing up. Very bad sale by best buy Fordham Road store. I was sold damaged and issue TV as new product.

So Ill start by saying this, Im not sure what use or equipment is being used in conjunction with this tv but the reviews about poor picture quality seem suspect. This tv is absolutely amazing. I have my xbox one s hooked up to it and the vivid colors and motion clarity is outstanding. I understand many do not like the 60fps look, but to me it breathes new life into movies I've seen 20 times or more. Pixar films look dazzling and Robocop despite the gritty color palette looks almost new on this TV!

I Bought this TV during thanks giving and it goes really well with my Xbox one X. Just love the frame rates (60hz) and I'm enjoying the true 4k gaming. I bought this TV for $329 Approximately which is a good buy. It has been 2 weeks so far, haven't noticed any problems. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the remote, I'm sure at least 9 out of 10 people wont like it. It is clumsy and very hard to browse internet or type something. But if you have a Xbox controller, then its a piece of cake to browse and do anything you want using the Xbox browser and inbuilt apps.

For the positive, the picture quality is fantastic and you can't beat the price right now. Unfortunately I will need to return it as there is a line of dead pixels spanning the entire height of the TV and is very noticeable. The Smart TV also does not work nearly as well as other brands. For example it lags often and the Prime app will do everything but actually play the content. This was my last try with Samsung as I've had many Samsung tv's over the years and the smart tv features continue to be the Achilles' heel. I'll be looking into other brands when I return this

I bought this TV last month and overall I'm pleased with the experience. The picture quality, while not the best, is clear and rich in color. I was most surprised by the sound quality. I have the samsung soundbar and subwoofer but the television speakers are so good that I really find myself watching movies or listening to music without them. & my folks also enjoyed it when we watched games and etc. I will say that the UI can get a laggy sometimes and theres no blutooth feature but it is a good tv for a reasonable price. Definitely a TV meant for the living room.

Easy to setup. I have a Samsung soundbar hooked up via optical. Because of that you cannot choose the auto volume option. Some of the channels on DirecTV suck for sound quality resulting in extremely loud commercials. Color is excellent. Speakers on tv actually aren’t as bad as I thought they would be. The options do seem limited as far as color and audio but I guess if you don’t like tinkering and want something straight forward with default settings it’s great. Blacks don’t quite compare to my Panasonic plasma but are decent. Haven’t been able to test 4K dvds yet.
