Great for movies but ok for gaming

But I am disappointed with this supposedly new 2023 model and customer service for both Best Buy and Samsung have not been helpful. Apparently my tv is not defective but clearly I see these crushed or washed black colors everywhere on the built in apps and on my games. Yes some are from external hdmi devices but some are also from the streaming apps like Xbox game pass which is built in to the tv. So that tells me that this television just has really poor HDR and black level display. Everything else with the tv display is fine but not when I’m gaming or when there’s a dark scene in a show or movie and apparently on the interface menus for apps like Disney plus and peacock for example. And customer support seem unhelpful. I wish I can just turn HDR off from the tv itself but there’s no option. Great color but poor black and hdr processing. Thats why I give it 3 stars it’s ok when im watching a show but bad when navigating or watching the Samsung tv plus channels and gaming.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your Q60C TV. To ensure you’ve got the latest image quality updates, please confirm that your TV is up to date with the latest firmware version. You can check by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.
Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
3. Eco: Provided to save energy
4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also fine-tune your picture with expert settings such as brightness, contrast, sharpness and more (All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings).

Good color. So far no problems. Had a Samsung Q6R soundbar to connect to it. No problem for The Geek techs. Good price.

It would definitely buy this again if the audio is fixed. Raising and lowering the volume takes forever. Very surprised at this. Hope they fix this on future models.
