Expected better from Sony

I bought this tv to replace a 12 year old sony and I have to say I'm disappointed! I like some of the features this has compared to the sony but as far as the picture goes it's not that much better and sometimes it's worse. Depending on the show sometimes faces aren't clear or there's trailers. Especially on fast moving images. I tried fooling around with all the settings but no difference. The only thing left to try is new cables which the ones I have are pretty good ones so I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm not impressed with the whole 4k thing. The only thing that would've made this purchase worse is if I wouldn't have gotten it during the $200 off sale.

If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.
Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode ...and select the mode that best fits your usage: 1. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room 5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. picture quality was not as good as my non smart tv. LCD tv.
i purchased to eliminate the roku which was buffering alot but this tv connected direct was worse.
Not sure if i would purchase again due to the picture quality and i really like my current samsung Tvs They have great pictures even at 720 vs 1080.

The TV has been working just fine and is a major improvement over what we previously had..........a 17-year-old Panasonic "Plasma" TV.
