Bought this about a month ago for $1799.99 and it has dropped $300 since and Best Buy has refunded me the money so its a great price now. Grab it. I'm very happy with the TV, the picture for streaming 4K is outstanding and so is standard Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray. My Direct TV looks very good except that older shows have some judder to them that I can't seem to clear up. Newer programing looks much better. Games also look great and I haven't really noticed any lag. The stand legs however are very wide so keep this in mind if you have a small stand, I put mine on the wall so it didn't matter but it wouldn't have fit my stand if that was my plan. Also I'm not a fan of the remote it's very small and sensitive. Overall very happy and would recommend, the picture quality is fantastic and its very easy to set up. Looks nice right out of the box, just need to adjust a little to your liking.

The ks8000 is awesome I got the 55" model along with a Denon receiver and both are awesoem the clarity of the tv is out of this world and it is future proof it has hdr qauntom dot technology nd is ready for whatever ever is thrown at it

This is the best TV I have ever used. The Quantum Dot display is fabulous with the Dynamic Upscale and when viewing in 4K it's almost surreal. I can't begin to tell you how incredible this picture is! Also, the 40 watt sound system means I rarely even turn on my stereo any more. This TV gets pretty loud and I'm a bit hard of hearing so I always have it turned up with no problems. The included quick-connect box is handy for not having lots of wires in the back of the TV. We now have only one wire that's hardly noticeable. Smart TV functions work great and it synced right up to our household wi-fi so we can enjoy YouTube, Netflix, Amazon, etc with the touch of a button. The remote is also sleek and easy to use. I love this TV!!!!!

I was not convinced that 4K was something I wanted to spend my money on because I have some very nice 1080 tv’s. I seen the 4K tv at Best Buy and I was amazed but not sold yet. As more 4K content became available I decided to buy one. I chose the size because I have a 55 1080p in the spot so I wanted to keep it the same. I chose the 8 series because it was very nice looking. I got it home and I was not to happy because I did not buy everything I needed to really see what this tv can do. So I went back to Best Buy and purchased the Samsung 4K Blu-ray player and the monster hdmi cable 2.0. Now I was happy. This tv is amazing. The 4K is too real. It’s like I’m there looking at the movie in person. For the price I paid for this tv I felt like I got a steal. I thought this was the wrong tv. Maybe they made a mistake and gave me a better tv. I will not buy another tv unless it is better than this one. I shop at Best Buy all the time and I still have not seen a better tv yet. Just purchased Apple TV 4K and it is perfect for this tv. Samsung did an amazing job on this tv.

Absolutely beautiful picture. Easy to set up and connection to internet. You Tube, Netflix, and Amazon work well. Only drawback is the speakers. They are OK at best. I keep turning on Closed Caption to fully understand what characters are saying. You will need an external speaker to obtain the best sound.

This is the best TV I ever bought, It plays and looks just like it looked in the store. This is my second Samsung TV I bought in three years. This TV sets off any room in the house with it HDR and easy to use remote control. It has all the plugins I need, I can plug in my external hard drive and look at what I have on it without having to use another source before plugging it in the USB plugin. It's viewing angle is good no matter where you are watching. A couple of family members has already went and bought the same model after viewing mine.This is the Model 8000 and looks as good as the newer Model 9500. This TV was a truly bestbuy for what it offers to my family, friends and me.

I read and watched as many reviews of this TV that I could find before deciding on this TV. The most important one for me was on Rtings because they perform all the science so that readers can make a well-informed decision on a TV purchase. This TV seemed to have the best contrast ratio I could find in this price range. The important points I needed, and this TV has: 4K, hdr10, contrast, native 120hz, 4 hdmi ports, and a 55" size. The TV is capable of very dark black levels and extreme brights. Rtings did say the brightness doesn't sustain for very long, like when a bright scene is paused, and that's true, but I never noticed it while the picture was moving. I only noticed this when pausing a very bright scene. This TV makes HDR content look great, and I enjoy watching some scenes again just for the beauty of what the TV can do with it. There are a few other TVs with very similar stats and capabilities, and now I see why this is one of the best TVs in it's price range. The overall package of this TV seems to only be beat by OLED screens right now. I was not sure if I'd enjoy having the One Connect cable that you plug all of your devices into, which then uses one cable to plug into the back of the TV, but I find it useful for when and if I need to change cables or devices, or if mounting it on the wall. As with all TVs and monitors, you play the lotto with getting a screen that has little to no bright spots. Mine came with a very small amount of brightness in the lower left corner, but the rest is very even. This TV has a huge amount of customization in the picture settings, and I used values suggested by Rtings as a very good start. Turned off the soap opera effect and adjusted some other settings. The voice recognition with the microphone in the remote works well. The built-in apps run smoothly. The only problem I have had, and that others have had, is when Samsung updates the TV's software. The Smart Hub apps disappear from the menu. Others have been able to get them back by fully resetting the TV to factory settings or changing the country code, but I was able to just use a menu item to reset only the Smart Hub so that I would not have to go through all of the setup and picture settings again. This only took a few minutes to do once I researched it online and then found the Smart Hub reset before having to try a full reset.

This TV was awesome! It was so sharp, everything looked real. I really liked the Smart TV system; even though, I didn't like the ads. They weren't very intrusive, though. Looks great and has a better picture than most of Samsung's 2017 offerings. I gave it to a friend and I'm so envious!

This Samsung TV stood out to me at the store when I went to My Local Bestbuy..SO I had my eye on it for awhile. After months of research, I saved up and decided to buy this TV. This Sleek, Beautiful, Silver Beast is Clear, Bright and Everything I wanted and more!...I love the Smart TV features and every App runs fast and is easily accessible. I love going to Youtibe and just laying back while listening to Music on my TV. I also enjoy the smart remote...I can just speak in to the remote and cut the TV Up and Down. So far everything is Awesome and I definitely would recommend this TV to everyone who is looking for The Best!!!

I have bought Samsung TV's for the past 17 years and as always, I have had no issues with this TV. Easy Setup, Easy Use and clear picture. I have still have my original Samsung from 17 years ago and even though the picture is not the quality of today it still works.

Programming was the hardest but someone technical knowledge it should be easy. The picture is awesome you would not go back to another type of TV Color very bright! Bought 2 of these,just would like a different type of legs for TV. Had it for a while no problems

This is the best TV I have ever purchased. I was looking for a 4K TV with high dynamic range. Dish TV had that. A lot of 4K TVs are so without high dynamic range and are sold at lower prices than this particular TV however they don't deliver the quality of this particular TV. The picture is amazing. I don't have any complaints with this TV. I took it right out of the box and set it up. It was easy to do and it looks fantastic. I recommend this TV to anyone looking for an amazing picture especially for gamers with the new video game systems like PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One S.

I purchased this TV from my local Best Buy yesterday morning. Since then, I have watched a number of shows and movies on Netflix, AppleTV, and The Martian on digital HD. Although I do not own any 4K content and none of the content looked 4K, the upscaling abilities of the TV made everything look incredible (especially The Martian) and pretty close to 4K. The colors are crisp, there is never any trailing in fast-moving scenes, and the blacks/dark grays are easily distinguishable from one another. If you can afford the moderately high price on this 55" TV, it is definitely worth the money.

This tv has an impressive picture considering it’s LCD. It gets really bright, has vibrant, realistic colors all while getting very deep blacks. Only step up from here would be to OLED. High recommend this tv if it’s still available

I purchased this TV a month ago and it replaced a 2011 Sony 3D Bravia. This is my first 4K TV obviously and I did a lot of research as to which 4K TV to buy. For me gaming was huge. I wanted something that didn't have a lot of input lag so and didn't put me at a disadvantage in games and so far my worries are put to rest. It could be a little better in this regard but I'm a tough critic and I'm satisfied from the gaming aspect. I recently purchased an Xbox One S and watched my first Ultra HD Movie in The Revenant and was blown away. It's true what they say. Once you watch ultra HD Blu Ray it makes even standard Blu Ray's look average. I can't wait for more movies to come out in this format: The TV also does a really good job of upscaling content like Direct TV or standard Blu Rays. The only negative (if you can even really call it that) is that the two metal feet the TV stands on, they are of different lengths so since I don't have it mounted, the TV is a little bit uneven. All in all for what I paid for and got I'm very satisfied with my first Samsung TV. I'm glad I waited until 2016 to get it as this TV supports HDR-10 and as a gamer the new Xbox One S supports this as I'm sure all consoles in the future will too so I'm good to go. My next tv purchase will be a Samsung.

Originally had the 49" version, upgraded when the 55" went on a one day sell. Beautiful design, great picture and sound. Easy initial setup with smart remote. I have noticed that the picture on this seems to be noticably better than on the smaller one, not sure how/why. Had to make more adjustments to motion on the larger one as well. Might be normal since it has to stretch the program more to fit the screen? Not an expert though. Also tried the sony 55" xbr-55x850d. It was terrible compared to this samsung.

I bought this TV to replace the TV in my Living Room, plus I wanted to try out the 4K and HDR functions. This TV did not disappoint me at all. Perfect size and easy set up made everything worthwhile

This tv is sleek, stylish, and powerful. The screen quality is great, the sound is surprising for a flat screen. This tv is so much faster and more intuitive than any other tv I've owned or used.

Walked by this SUHD TV on display at Best Buy and had to have it. The vivid picture with bright color caught my eye over the others near by. Love how thin and lightweight it is. I play a lot of video games and could instantly tell a difference in picture quality vs. my old HD TV. Graphics are extra crisp. Brings a whole new life to old games. Movies and sports look amazing! no blur or streaking. Very good buy... I cant watch TV at my friends house's anymore.
