    We had a Sharp Aquos 46" that has been great for over 6 years but it recently started having issues. After doing some research and comparisons we attempted to get the 49" Samsung but the 55" was on sale. We couldn't be happier. It has an amazing picture and it's incredibly thin. I can say for sure that I'm a Samsung lifer from here forward.

    Sound bar is better than tv speaker.

    TV Sound quality is better using the sound bar. However, it has not been a user friendly process to sync the sound bar to the tv and the remotes. It takes a while to figure out how to optimize the sound using the bar and woofer. We were kicked back off the sound bar to the tv speaker a few times before we got the remote to turn the sound bar on directly. Instructions were lacking.

    I researched TVs with Consumer Reports before deciding to buy this one. CR said it had a great picture and good sound, the latter being important to me since I didn't want to have to buy a separate sound bar. I'm very happy with this purchase. Sound is clear and full.

    Great TV; Purchased - 12/2016. Had a problem with YouTube not working for the past year. Now for some reason it has been working for the past 2-3 mo. The remote is a bit small; Voice commands don't work for YouTube. I'm looking to buy another (Samsung) in the next few weeks.

    I was trying to decide between this tv and the curved model and I'm glad I went with this one. I feel I get a better picture out of this one for what I use it for. Plus with the size, I wouldn't have seen any benefits to the curved model. Picture is very crisp and refresh rate is great! Can't wait to see how it works with my computer.

    This is my third Samsung tv and I am very pleased with the colors and contrast. I first thought the 55" tv was too large for the bedroom but when mounted on a wall, it was the perfect size. Only complaint would be the built-in speakers. I wish they produce better sounds. You may need to add a sound bar to improve the sound.

    Samsung 8000 is a very nice T V that has a great picture. The T V has a bright image and plenty of smart extras. The remote is small enough to fit in your hand but still substantial. You can set up favorite channels on the home menu. By clicking on the home button your able to brose content from within apps like Netflix and Hulu.
