This TV has a great picture and depth of image. It is thinner than some of the other TVs in its class and is very sleek looking. I initially purchased an LG but ended up returning it because the picture on this TV was superior. I haven't had any problems with it (but I've only had it for about a month). It was very easy to set up and the menu is pretty intuitive. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a 55" under $1000.

Lifelike picture with great color separation and definition. Speakers are OK for my room (23'x13') but I will be adding a sound bar and sub-woofer. Very thin with a sharp appearance. Extremely easy to set up - took less than 30 minutes to get it out of the box, assembled and operating. If you want a reasonably priced 55" TV, this is the one.

I really like this television. The video is very clean and clear. The blacks have a nice dynamic range. I'm impressed with the picture quality, old movies look like they were live. Live sports look spectacular. The remote is awesome, some commands can be executed through speech, like channel changing. Also if you launch the app. you have another way to control the television. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I am a gamer and lag time is everything to me! This tv in game mode is wicked fast and shows no lag! I'm sure if I had an amazing pc I wouldn't even need it in game mode! But anyways, speakers are pretty good!! Love how thing the tv is made my life easier installing it. I have the Xbox One S. I don't need it in game mode, I just turn the motion setting to custom and the lag is gone. The HDR support is a nice plus. Bluetooth audio sounds pretty good as well with almost no lag! Only things I don't like is the back is a cheap plastic and one edge is lightly coming off(doesn't bother me too much since I'm not here to look at the back). Closing apps is quiet odd. If you don't close fully the apps crash and take forever to load back up. I find hold the back button till it closes helps A LOT.

I bought this right before the Super Bowl 2017. My plasma tv blew up the week before the game. I couldn't afford an Oled tv. I did some research on YouTube. I was deciding between this Samsung or a Sony. I ended up with the Samsung. I have been very pleased. I have it hooked up to a X Box One S and a Yamaha Surround Sound receiver. I love the colors and crisp picture. I upgraded my Netflix account to 4k. I have purchased a few 4k HDR DVDs. My only complaint is with the remote control. I like the size and functionality but it is not reliable. There are times when none of the buttons work.

After purchasing a 65" Samsung 4k for my living room, I immediately replaced the older TV in my bedroom with a 55" Samsung 4k. You will find yourself immensed while watching movies with the vivid picture colors and sharp details. The remote is elegant looking and streamlined, eliminating the need for multiple buttons. For example, the volume up/down also controls mute, channel up/down also provides the tv guide listings. The only complaint I have with the remote is the fast forward/reverse. You are unable to forward 30 seconds. When forwarding through all the commercials before a recorded movie starts again, the on screen symbol disappears. I have to touch the remote button again to bring it back in order to hit stop, which often means I go too far. To avoid this, I forward through several commercials, hit pause, and repeat the process until the movie resumes. I find the voice feature awesome for changing from a lower to higher channel quickly (for instance channel 2 to 300) without using the numerical keys. Although I have trouble with some commands not recognized, I think I will understand its capabilities better with more use. Have a question on how to connect your DVD or gaming system? Just go to the on screen manual, eliminating the need to have a hard copy. On screen apps can be either moved in their placement, or deleted. The quality of this TV and features are impressive. My bedroom is not large, and I find the sound quality to be adequate without the need for additional components.

This set is awesome, i have had the M series Vizio and the 2016 P series HDR Vizio, i replaced them with this set, the picture quality is amazing, really deep blacks, vibrant colors, up scaling looks fantastic and for a gamer it has really low lag. Thins set with almost no bezel, for this price range you wont find a better set

Great design, super slim TV. Easy to set up, great sound quality. Graphic is beyond belief! Picture is beautiful, and I love playing video games on it.

The picture really pops on this TV. The colors are so vibrant. I find myself watching it more often than I used to watch TV because it is so vivid.

I picked this up for $1000 before Black Friday after doing a lot of research on a variety of TVs. The picture is stellar and makes even basic things look incredible. Has crisp colors nice lighting. HDR makes it incredible with PS4. I read a lot of tech reviews claiming it doesn't do blacks as well but I certainly haven't been able to see it. I am certainly pleased with this purchase.

My new Samsung 55 inch Smart LED TV has a fantastic picture as a result of such features as 2160p, 4K Ultra HD, High Dynamic Range. It has sharp graphics and amazing true-to-life color. It has bright daylight colors and the deepest of darks. The flat almost bezel-less design of this Samsung 8-Series television offers easy viewing from just about any angle. Great TV at a great price!

Vibrant colors, deep darks, movement of objects in the screen is always very fluid without annoying motion blur, all packaged in a very well designed TV. The smarthub allows you to easily plug and unplug HDMI cables without having the hassle to look for the ports on the back of the TV. The price is also good for a HDR TV. I would recommend buying this TV to anyone!

Hands down, one of if not the best 4K TV for the price. HDR, connected apps, and plenty of other features make it a perfect all around TV. Upscaled content, even DVDs, look fantastic. Color, contrast, and black level are very good for an edge lit panel. It's a real shame the model Samsung introduced as the replacement for the KS8000 series is inferior and priced higher.

For the money this tv is fantastic. No dead pixels. Fits perfectly with sound bar from earlier purchase. Hdr makes one heck of a difference.

The TV is fantastic for my uses. It is 4K, with a 120hz refresh rate (ignore the 240 trumotion or clear motion, it's a true 120hz panel). It is HDR10 ready so when you plug a UHD bluray player up to it, you'll get the full benefit of HDR. It doesn't have 3D, but that wasn't a selling point for me. If you're looking for a good set, for me, it was between the Vizio P series and this KS8000. This Samsung had a little better picture, but you can't go wrong with either set. I would have gotten the LG OLED panel, but it is over $2000.

I researched many 4k smart tvs and based on my prior experience with Samsung, chose this unit in 55" size. Very easy setup and there are a number of apps already installed (I added HBO GO and Showtime Anytime in seconds). Picture is clear and sharp, and sound is pretty decent even without a soundbar. Modern, slim profile and lighweight. Very happy with my purchase.

I did a ton of homework before purchase ... online, in store, etc. I loved this tv in the store, and I love it at home. Beautiful! And when viewing true 4k tv, it's truly stunning. But I expected that. What I didn't expect, and what made this even a better purchase, is what it did to my sound system! All the HDMI plug-ins go into an external box, and then only one cord goes to the tv (besides the power cord). Makes for a lot less mess behind the tv. From that external box, I was able to run one single Digital Audio cord to my soundbar. And, to my surprise, this system allows the sound to be output in DTS quality ... for everything plugged into it! Wow! My soundbar was good before ... now it's great! Didn't expect this surprise, but makes me love this tv even more. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this to anyone. Truly worth it for the tv or video (and sound!) lovers!

Excellent picture quality, although it does fade out at a large viewing angle. My previous TV was a plasma which had a wider viewing angle, but that's now obsolete technology. Can't comment on sound quality as I run it through a surround-sound system. Surprisingly easy to set up. I was surprised though when the You Tube video I was watching on my phone came on the TV!

Bought this to go with a new Xbox One S and PS4 Pro. Everything hooked up easy and looks great. Getting 4k and HDR from both units. Can't say TV looks that much better than my 63" Plasma from 10 feet. I can say the colors can be set much brighter if that's what you want. Movies play clean without any glitches. Blacks are nice, darker than the Plasma.
