The ease of setup and user-friendly smart TV features are also frequently praised. However, some users express concerns regarding the remote control's functionality and ease of use. Overall, the positive feedback on picture quality and ease of use outweighs the negative comments about the remote.

I opened my T.V. to put the stand on and took everything out of box, guess what NO SCREWS, could not put on the stand for my new 55" 9000 Dot UHHD t.v. to use it. Called BestBuy and they said just go to hardware store and get them (thought I purchased a complete t.v. umm) So I did, show the guy at hardware store the screw number given and got home and tried to put the stand together, screw broke in hole, so stopped. I will never purchase another T.V. from BestBuy again, the service after is awful, just left on your own, should have went to COSTCO, brother in-law did, they opened a box and gave him the screws and told him they would order new ones...thank you BestBuy, has been 30 days and still my T.V. is not up and running...never again

The stand caused the TV to tilt slightly to one side. Tightening screws, attempted readjustments would not work. Every few minutes "error" message appeared on screen indicating no video source. Using new HDMI 2.0b cables. Too annoying, so returned for Sony.

Should be at the top of your TV shopping list!!

When I started TV shopping I did a lot of research and at first bought the 55” KS8000. I liked that but when the KS9000 went on sale I exchanged it for that. One of the main reasons I went with the 9000 was the design (mainly the stand). On the 55” version of the 8000 the legs are about 44” apart. My stand that I have been using for years for several TV's is only 42” wide. So I had to use a large piece of wood on top of my stand just to be able to set up the 8000. This didnt really look all that great, and I didnt want to have to replace my stand with a wider one. And thankfully the 9000 has a more standard V shaped stand that fits and works great on my TV stand. And the 9000 also has some improved specs and also looks better in my opinion. I didnt really like the glossy back of the 8000. Anyway I really love this TV. Ive had several Samsungs, and my last set was the JU7100. But decided it was time to upgrade. I dont really miss the lack of 3D because I think I literally only used it once on my 7100 to test it. And I do believe 3D is on its way to being extinct. Anyway the new thing now of course is HDR. And the KS9000 really takes advantage of that. It simply looks amazing. There are several Netflix shows that show what HDR is all about. And I also recently bought the new XBOX ONE S. Ive yet to buy an HDR Bluray, but I will soon. But as I mentioned there is plenty of HDR on Netflix and Amazon Video in the meantime. One of the really cool new features this years Samsung TV's has its the new Tizen system. It is much more simple and streamlined this year. My favorite feature so far is how well the TV detects whatever device you are connecting and names it accordingly. I have a PS3, PS4, XBOX ONE, 360, and a PC laptop all connected to my TV. And it names them all without me having to do anything. The PS3 and PS4 are both automatically labeled as “Playstation”. And the XBOX One and 360 are both labeled by their full names each. I didnt have to type out names like I have before when customizing my input names. As you can tell I have a lot of things connected to my TV. And since it has 4 HDMI ports I use 2 HDMI 3 way splitters. They automatically switch to whatever source is powered on. So my system is set up like this: HDMI 1 = Direct TV HDMI 2 = PS3 and PS4 HDMI 3 = XBOX ONE S HDMI 4 = PC, Wii U, and XBOX 360 The reason I am listing these all out is because I want to add how smart this TV is. It switches the settings, input name, and device type on HDMI 4 on its own depending on whichever one is powered on. And I have different settings for PC and the Wii U and 360. I use to have to manually switch the input type every time I went from one to the other. But when I power off a device it automatically switches all the settings and input types on its own. Of course a review of a TV without talking about picture quality isnt complete so here we go. Simply put its amazing. The colors and picture are awesome. It also has very good motion handling, especially if you set Auto Motion plus to Auto. But this gives you the dreaded SOE (Soap Opera Effect). Which I really dont care for. So I use a custom setting for Auto Motion (Blur 3, Judder 3, and LED Clear Off). This gives it very good motion handling with very little SOE. As you read above I am a gamer. And one of the main things I look for when TV shopping is the input lag (or lack thereof). And this is one of the best TV's released this year for low input lag. In Game mode the lag is only 20.5 ms. This is great, I dont notice any lag at all. I was also thinking of getting the Sony X930D but decided not to for a few reasons, one of those is that it has about 54ms of lag. This isnt terrible, but would be noticeable in my opinion. The other main reason I went with the Samsung over the Sony is that I am still not sold on the Android Smart platform. I tested it on a 2015 Sony and it was just too buggy. I have read it is better this year, but in my opinion the new Tizen is much better. Another thing I look for in TV's is a good USB media player for videos on hard drives. And Im happy to say that the Samsung recognizes and plays every single file type I have tested. It also has SRT subtitle support. So overall I am very happy with this TV. It is by far the nicest set I have ever owned and I look forward to years of use with it. If you are looking for a new HDR 4K TV this should be on the top of your list. If you want a cheaper alternative go with the KS8000. Just be aware on the 55” version of the 44” wide legs. On the larger versions the 8000 has optional closer leg mounts, but for some reason Samsung did not do this on the 55” version. Anyway thanks for reading. If you have any questions or comments feel free. Ill try to answer and respond.

Picture quality and sound is good, but this tv is only a few weeks old and the screen periodically goes black. This happens regularly and isn't acceptable. Google "Samsung tv screen goes black" and you'll find endless complaints about this issue. After phones that blowup and televisions that don't work, Samsung definitely has a quality issue.

No complaints with the picture, but after almost two years, the screen began blacking out for a few seconds, without sound. This now happens several times per hour and seems to be a well known problem to Samsung TV owners.

They set up delivery date & never called before the delivery time. It was scheduled in the afternoon & finally after I waited all day for them, they called & said the TV didn't come in. Then if I remember right, they being the "Geek Squad" scheduled 2-more times & cancelled. Communication from the "Geek Squad" is very poor!! Finally got the TV 2-weeks after I bought it!

We decided to update our Samsung 55" and unfortunately this TV did not live up to our expectations. We constantly had to adjust the color, contrast, anything that could be adjusted, we tried, to no avail. Ultimately we returned the TV and purchased a Samsung 55" curved model and we are very happy.

press the "Bluetooth POWER" button on the remote to turn the feature on. The Bluetooth POWER On function is available after you have successfully connected the Soundbar to a Bluetooth compatible TV using TV SoundConnect. When the Bluetooth POWER On function is ON, turning the connected TV on or off will turn the Soundbar's power on and off as well.

Please refer to the diagram drawing of the remote in your User Manual (page 9 "REMOTE CONTROL"). Then refer to pages 22 and 28 for further details

I hope this helps to resolve the issues. For further assistance, please contact Samsung Customer Support toll-free at 1-800-SAMSUNG and a representative will gladly help you.

    Everything I Expected

Before buying this TV I read a lot of reviews from customers at Best Buy to the experts at CNET and 4K.com. This is my experience: 1. Overall this is a great TV. I seriously considered an LG OLED but the price difference for me was not worth the extra cost. 2. Game of Thrones in Bluray is awesome (I have a Samsung 850 4K Bluray player). Much better than my previous TV which was a 2007 Sony XBR something or other - a great TV in its time. 3. I purchased two 4K Bluray movies to play on this TV. One movie was worse than a standard Bluray and one was equal but even the bad one was quite good. At this time, it seems a lot of the 4K movies are hit or miss. 4. As you are probably aware there is still not a whole lot of 4K content out there and for what there is you will probably have to pay a bit extra to get it. When you do get it though, the difference from 1080 is very noticeable. 5. Everything you have read about the viewing angle is true. The picture itself is still good, it's jus that the color drops off some. 6. I have this TV mounted on its stand with a Klipsh sound bar in front. The sound bar was just high enough that it blocked out the very bottom edge of the TV. This was solved by placing the stand on a 3/4" piece of wood. Obviously TVs will come out that will be better than this (and the current line of LG OLEDs and Samsung QLEDS. But for now this TV at its current price is a great value.

    Amazing Samsung SUHD TV

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I purchased the new Samsung UN55KS9000FXZA TV after reviewing the new line of SUHD's on the market. This process went on for about six months. Review 1-5 Scale: Picture Quality 5, Sound 3.5, Upgradeable Unit/Features 5, Price 5, and Merchant Reliability during/after purchase 5. Please note that sound quality was the only low review for this TV, but most people that purchase a high end TV will use a sound bar to address/correct/negate that issue that is present with all devices. The Best Buy Delivery and Setup was exceptional. The two Geek Guys were professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and addressed all of my questions/concerns. Here is the best part of the process. The hookup of the DIRECTV box, arc capable sound bar (Sony HT-RT5 5.1), and blu-ray player were all plug and play, less than 5 minutes. Now that's impressive! The Samsung UN55KS9000FXZA would be an excellent choice for anyone in the market for a new SUHD TV. I would highly recommend the purchase, delivery and setup by Best Buy for any product they sale.

    Incredible TV

This is the best TV I've ever had. The picture is extremely sharp and crisp; colors are very bright - it looks like you could dive into the picture. The Samsung TV design is very neat and clean looking. The screen has minimal plastic edges around it, so the space taken up by the TV is maximized. I have it on a TV stand, but it would look great mounted on a wall too. Highly recommend this TV or the comparable SONY 4k UHD, similar prices, but I personally find this design to be more cosmetically appealing.
