7 years and counting. This tv has been reliable through all these years and I refuse to upgrade until this pup dies on me. TV has survived 4 moves all over the east coast. Excellent picture and the OS is still as smooth as the day I bought it. Unsure of sound, as I’ve had an Samsung soundbar paired with it and it sounds great. Excellent products, Samsung!

I have it mounted on my wall. I’ve had this tv for almost a year. Great 4K. The sound is very nice and loud if you want it to be. The controller is the best part. The control is stylish and easy to navigate. Personally I love Samsung more than LG. All my Samsung TVs around the house have lasted me years. Good tv from a good brand.

After owning a Samsung 48" LED HDTV (Model No. UN48J5000AFXZA) for a year and being pleased with its performance, we decided to upgrade our Panasonic 47" LED HDTV with this Samsung 55" UHD TV and we haven't been disappointed. Yes, we've only owned the UHD TV for less than a week but after calibrating the TV's picture to match our family room's lighting characteristics, the picture details pop and the upgrade is clear. We happened to buy the TV for $599.99 with a 5-year Geek Squad plan ($129.99). My advice? Get the GS plan because we received a $527 credit towards buying this when our Panasonic 47" 1080p HDTV broke 4 years later and a replacement was deemed as the best option. So, Best Buy's GS plans are truly worth the money. Now, down to this UHD TV. Picture: 4.5/5...the picture is excellent but I haven't seen it show off UHD content, yet, so I can't give it full marks until I see what happens. Sound: 5/5...for a wall-mounted UHD TV, the sound on this model rocks! Even at the low volume of 10, the clarity of the speakers is top notch. The DTS sound piped through the HDMI cables from our cable box and Blu-ray player is clear and detailed. Remote: 4/5...the remote is sleek and useful but its small size has reduced its ability to serve as a universal remote in any way. However, this really shouldn't be a deal breaker. Ease of Setup: 5/5...the setup process was quick, painless and pleasant. Even hanging the unit up on our wall was easy, thanks to its easily accessible screw holes and our Sanus wall mount's easy setup process. Overall, this is a fantastic UHD TV set and I'm truly impressed with the little things that Samsung adds to their units with each model. If you can get this set anywhere between $600-$700, it's money well spent. NOTE: The attached pictures are of Blu-rays played in motion. The clarity of the screen shots are what you can expect with actual Blu-ray movies in motion...no still captures here!

I picked this TV up on sale for $599 (Best Buy had it on a one-day sale), and I couldn't be happier. It's a big upgrade from my older 32" LG. The upscaling works better than expected for HD content. Standard definition content, however, looks somewhat fuzzy. The smart TV features are quite easy to use, and the Samsung universal remote is great to use. It can even control my 3rd gen. Apple TV. If you're considering this TV, keep in mind that it's Samsung's 2016 entry level series (6 series). You'll certainly get a better picture on higher spec. and higher price sets. However, if you're itching for a 4K TV at a reasonable price, I'd recommend this unit.

This set replaces a 10 year old Samsung 46" LCD TV. Picture is unbelievably crisp and the sound from the unit itself really blew me away! We can enjoy the set without needing the surround sound. Setup was a breeze and the remote, compared to the previous TV's model, was extremely simplified - but once i got to using it, it is a classic case of less is more! Very nice discovery. Finally, I really like how Samsung made the setup so easy to do and the ability to detect and setup other attached devices was also an excellent surprise. Overall, couldn't have been happier. I bought it on Superbowl Sunday in the morning and a few hours later it was fully set up and ready to go. As a bonus, Best Buy's price protection plan came in handy the following week when a competitor had the same model go on sale for $100 less - Best Buy customer service was top-notch and didn't blink an eye in reimbursing me the difference. I was extremely pleased with the whole buying experience and this set was icing on the cake! Couldn't be happier!

Been looking for a 4k/UHD TV for some time, and finally jumped on this once I seen it was on sale. This TV has great picture and color, and easy to use. The remote is simple and efficient. I like how when I hook up my X box or my blue ray, the TV recognizes the device so when you click source it will show up as "xbox one" or "blue ray" vs saying hmdi 1 or hdmi 2 or etc. Great sound from speakers and apps work fast..haven't had an issue with slugish apps like on prior smart tvs. Overall great buy, plus I bought it on sale for 749.99. I am satisfied with my purchase.

We purchased this television as part of a promotional offer and glad we did. In addition to having a sharp picture, the best feature has to be the ease with which other components work with the unit. Turning on the Blu-Ray disc player automatically changes the TV from whatever you were watching, say your cable/dish box to the player. No more fumbling around for the source button on your remote. And speaking of the remote, it's a small, sleek item that can easily control your components from cable, TV, to Blu-Ray. The picture is incredibly precise, but not as bright as the Samsung 720dpi plasma it replaced. That TV is now in the bedroom and shines like Mars at perihelion.

71 years old and a 1st time Best Buy customer. I had researched the TV via my on-line consumer reports subscription and CC rated the TV fairly high plus it was one of their "recommended best buys". The in-store person was knowledgeable and helpful. I used the Geek Squad to wall-mount it and set it up. The two guys that came were great...again very helpful and provided us some basic instructions as well. My only beef: I had to provide my email to enroll with the Best Buy card in order to take advantage of the two-year, no-interest financing (a great deal for cash-flow) but now I get too many email ads from Best-Buy. I seldom respond to ads and only buy when I need something (may buy again from Best Buy based on this first experience) but not because of an ad. I'm never sure if the email from Best Buy is from the financing arm (and therefore possibly important) or just an ad so I can't just delete without first making sure. It's simply a nuisance to me. If y'all could cut down on the ads via email, that would be great.

This TV has excellent picture quality and when viewing in 4k it really performs. Sets up with ease and remote is simple to use!

This is the 1st 4K TV that I purchased. I have another Samsung TV that works great, so staying with the same brand was a no brainer. The TV is set up to stream 4K content via YouTube or Netflix. The only issue I had was a HDMI cable 2.0 or higher is required to show 4K content from the HDMI port. Unfortunately, none of my devices is 4K compatible, so I will need to wait. When viewing YouTube 4K content via streaming, the image quality is much more life like than HD. Its almost like you are standing and seeing the event happening. I would definitely recommend this TV to someone looking for one, however, the 4K content is limited. Hopefully, in a year more shows and movies will be streaming 4K and that will make the TV even better.

I purchased this set to replace a 5 yr old Samsung 50 inch non smart tv that had a fantastic picture.This picture is much better.It's like looking out of a window at a live scene or sitting in the stands at the game.There are boundless smart features ,too many to mention in this review.one of the best is the Smart view feature where you view content of your phone on the big screen and much more.User friendly set up and remote.Highly recommend.

My parents and I both have one of these TVs and they’re great. Highly recommended especially at this low price. Samsung live chat support is also top notch if there’s any issues.

The picture on this TV is outstanding. I'm sure there are some that have better this or that, but for the price point, I'm very satisfied. I'm an average watcher - DirecTV, streaming on Netflix/Hulu/Amazon and BluRay - and I would have to have much better vision to appreciate anything better. The colors are crisp and the detail is very good. The only thing I had a problem with was the connection. For my previous Samsung LED, everything went to the receiver and only one HDMI went to the TV. On this one, it works better if everything goes to the TV inputs and the ARC HDMI input is used. That lets you get the most out of the TV remote and sound from streaming sources on the TV come through the receiver. After getting that worked out, I'm very pleased. The only thing I can't figure out is how to get the TV remote to turn off the DirecTV box, but I'm working on it!

Very reliable, great picture and apps. I love the way the que is set up with the apps, very easy to switch back and forth between my PS4, Netflix and Cable.

I bought Orbi and wanted to update the TV in my office to take advantage of the amazing wireless! I ended up buying this 4K TV. I wanted a smart TV and saw the picture quality of the 4K. It was easy to set up and linked up to my Orbi immediately! It streams content from Netflix like a dream!

After, reading all the reviews, I decided to but this Samsung 55" 4K TV. This Samsung, has passed my expectations away, on the new advancement of technology away! Easy to set up and very easy to operate! Can't say, enough good things about my purchase, so glad I decided to buy this TV. The picture quality, has blown me a away!!! At the time, of my purchase, Best Buy had a great deal on this 55" TV, so I couldn't really pass this up!! I'm so glad, to have purchased this Samsung! If your looking, for a great 4K TV to buy, this Samsung I would highly recommend. You, won't be sorry!!!!!!!!

Hello, I am an avid review reader when looking to make a big ticket item purchase. This TV had me nervous from some of the reviews I had read. I always tend to pass the 5 star review for the 2-3 star ones. Thinking that mostly unrealistic people had left the better review I decided to get the VIZIO for 1200 based on what the bestbuy rep told me. He was very helpful, and at first I thought we had made a great choice. My wife hated the tablet, and overall the tv had some issues so we returned it. After reading several reviews, and wanting the new xbox one s I decided to give this tv a shot, and fully expected on having to return it. My experience has been the exact opposite from what I thought it would be. WE LOVE THE SMART TV on this Samsung. Sports look good, and my games play great. The deal I got for $850 for the tv and xbox was superior, and saved me so much from the 1200 tv I started off with. Coming from a techy 26 year old guy who loves to have a nice tv. This one is worth it if your getting a good deal. I don't see myself wanting to get a new tv for several years now that I have this Samsung. The remote is amazing also.

I had been planning on getting a new tv for quite some time now to replace my old 32" Samsung TV. I'm a Samsung fanboy, so I knew I would be getting a Samsung. I couldn't decide between this TV or the 8000 series TV. After looking at both TVs in the store many many times, I decided on this TV because it was a steal for the price. I could've spent $1000 more on the 8000 series to get real HDR, but there's next to no content available with HDR right now. I can wait a year or two and then buy another TV. I would highly recommend this TV. The 4k is beautiful when streaming 4K content from apps like Netflix. The 4K upscaling is also very good, it has made any other program I watch that is only 1080p and made it look amazing. The remote is very easy to use and can even control my Xbox One and my Apple TV. The sound on this TV is the best I've heard from any stock TV speakers, but I did buy a soundbar to go along with it. I bought the Samsung HW-K550 and it pairs perfectly with my Samsung TV. Buy this TV, you won't be disappointed.
