First let me start by saying that this was a replacement by my GSP for a previous generation 9 series Samsung. I've ran into a couple issues with Samsung but have always been taken care of by my GSP. I looked at the oled tvs by a different manufacturer but couldn't justify the increased cost for such a similar picture. I prefer Samsungs smart tvOS. Easy to use. I do miss some of their features that the previous gen had for instance, the remote is missing the pointer, and the 9500 doesn't connect to my Samsung soundbar without being connected by Bluetooth or optical cable unlike before. The previous gen also had an octocore processor where as this one has a quad core. Haven't seen any lag in function but not sure why they downgraded. This gen tv also has some of the cables connected to the tv itself whereas the previous had everything connect to the brain box which in turn only sent one cable to the TV like a monitor. Nevertheless the picture is still amazing and quite a bit thinner. That's all I have to say about that.

I was originally hesitant about going with a curved display, but after getting it, I'm so happy I did. The form factor of the TV is a great bonus. I have this unit mounted on a full motion Sanus mount and the back of the TV is just as great looking as the front. I will say, with a caveat, that the first unit I bought developed a small row of dead pixels and some on screen menu glitches after about 3-4 weeks. I exchanged it out for a new one and waited another month before posting this review. I'm happy to say that the second unit works perfectly. The Samsung OneConnect box is pretty convenient to minimize the amount of cabling running to the unit. It can, however, provide some tricky set-up decisions if you're trying to hook it up with an A/V receiver. Since the TV itself has a plethora of built in media apps (Hulu, Amazon Video, Youtube, Netflix, HBO GO, etc) and the codecs to play several different video formats off an external hard drive directly, you may have to sacrifice using your AV system for certain inputs and rely on the TV speakers only. Of course, depending on your receiver and AV set-up, you could always add a Chromecast to your receiver to add app functionality and use surround speakers. The good news, is that the TV speakers are pretty decent overall and are more than good enough for casual use. The picture quality and color rendering is great, although I do think the motion engine could be better. There's some significant motion judder in background artifacts in action scenes. Sony's XBR engines blow this unit away, unfortunately. I'd even venture to say that personally, I think LG's TruMotion may even work better than Samsung's. But if you can put that aside, there's really not a whole lot about this TV that's not to love. The remote might also be one of my favorite pieces. Sleek, minimalist, feels great, and can control a plethora of extra peripherals perfectly. I feel like the OS is also one of the strong points on this unit. The onscreen menus and seamless integration between other inputs, video apps, and your cable provider channels is fantastic.

So I was looking for a GREAT TV as I do a lot of gaming and wanted to enjoy 4K movies and videos with capabilities of native HDR. I plugged this TV in, calibrated it to MY likings and I was/am BLOWN away by the quality!!! Angles are NOT an issue and the 10 bit panel compared to the 8 bit makes a drastic difference!! 5 stars all the way for me.

Quantum dot technology and user interface both years (yes, years) ahead of 2015 technology. Universal remote works so superb. This 2016 set replaces both a 2015 model and a 2014 model, but this is something really new, software and all. Never stops looking miraculous. Elegant design, front and back -- never has the back of a TV looked better. It's high-design contemporary sleek sculpture. The stand is so unobtrusive the TV seems suspended in air and looks light as a feather. Colors, blacks, 4K++ immersive curved display draws you in.

Overall the quality of my TV is amazing. The picture quality is good, design is amazing and functionality is great with all its features.

Strikingly rich picture with incredible depth of field. Makes you feel as if you are in whatever you are watching. Does the same for old black and white movies also! Something we thought would not be possible. Very happy with this TV. It is just an incredible viewing experience.

This tv has great colors, verygood resolution and it's really thin. One of the best tv so far.

Short review this TV is amazing, I got it open box for well under half price. TV is amazing once calibrated. Love using the smart TV to watch Netflix and Youtube. People can talk bad about Samsung all they want but until someone can upstage this TV the proof is in the picture. Quick motion rate and the game mode is great for the Xbox One X.

Let's see, where do I start? Living in Charlottesville where Xfinity is king, this TV has OLED's beat by split decision. I am so happy that I followed my hunch to upgrade from the TV me and my wife had. However, I took a gamble by buying it without fully "consulting" with her, largely because I knew that she would try to talk me out of it. Fortunately, when I got home from work one day, I saw that she took total advantage of the Netflix access which brings out the absolute best in the SUHD quality. Even though I eventually won her over, fellas learn from me and don't make such a gamble, because if this TV wasn't holding up to it's expectations, I would have had to face the music. Anyway, what separates this new 9000 series from the OLED and other smart TVS is it's attention to detail. It even makes 1960's television shows and movies look near perfect. And for those of you who think a soundbar is mandatory? No it isn't. It sounds decent by itself, because in this series, the speakers in the TV have mini built in sub-woofers that provide a theater worthy sound. Of course, I heard this TV with the matching soundbar, and it does make a big difference, but that's an extra $1000 that can wait for now. After all with the cables, wall mount, and blu-ray player, this is a $3100 investment. So I'll eventually add the soundbar, because Samsung turned me into a home theater addict with this masterpiece. If you like Samsung, BUY THIS. If I could afford to, I may have have got the 65 inch aka "The big boy" and shut it down! LOL, but this 55-inch is great in it's own right. we had been shopping for a larger television, and we liked the curved screen ones, this one came up in an open box sale and we have been happy ever since. great picture and sound

Product exceeded my expectations for picture quality. Sometimes while watching movies feels like live TV. Screen automatically compensates for brightness in the room (i.e. turn off the lights, brightness and depth of color adjusts). Ease of install is pretty self explanatory and will give you default settings. To set up the SmartTV portion of it, you will need to have WIFi or modem access handy. Remote included will work most of the functions that Comcast has on it's controller. You find most of the "shortcuts" pretty easy to use. Overall pricing was higher than normal flat panel LED but the curved screen has great viewing angles from multiple seating positions.

This is a great product. A visual comparison to other TVs displayed in the store left no doubt this was by far the best picture at any price. The curved screen adds additional realism. The only bad news comes for actors and actresses who will now have to be more careful than ever when applying makeup. In actual fact, the TV exceeded my expectations when finally set up in my home. It is very easy to view even with direct sunlight playing on the screen. I am happy to say that this TV looks good even when turned off.

I've been a Sony guy like forever, and making the leap to Samsung was the result of making extensive research into 4K sets. Our 55" 4K Samsung is a fantastic upgrade from our Sony Bravia HD set and we could not be more pleased with the decision to switch brands. You can read all the descriptions and reviews you want, or simply go to BestBuy and experience the picture quality in person - if you are on the fence, I bet that once you see the picture quality you'll be loading up a set to bring home. Amazing and dynamic picture, a true smart TV, and well worth the price.

Love the Picture of this TV. Looked at many other companies tvs but decided after checking the reviews that this was the one for me. It has a crisp fast refresh rate that makes you feel that you are right there. My wife said she wasn't sure she wanted these people in our home when she saw the picture quality. The media center box is a nice system that cuts down wires going to the tv directly. Only issue is the remote- would like a dedicated source button. Have not worked with the audio command yet - still a button guy, but the 5 star rating is well deserved!

This brilliantly built television takes me back when I sit down in my lounge chair and use the voice command feature to complete most tasks... better than a new apple tv. I can monitor tweets on programs as I watch them. I can view data relevant to the particular show I'm watching. Can even play games to the side of the tv such as memory, minesweeper. New stuff is being updated regularly so far. This is a tv to have connected to the Internet all the time. It offers WiFi and ethernet options. Has an amazing interface (Internet friendly) which allows multiple tabs and has a decent size hard drive to save any other apps you want to download. It like my giant tab s I tell people. I definitely recommend the calibration on ALL higher end tvs. Picture is great although not full array backlit but the blacks are comparable to the OLEDs. Just my opinion. With this television you can also begin to control lights andalarms and much more through samsung smart hub feature included. It's really up to you how far you want to take this Samsung KS 9500. Watching TV while the wife plays connect four one moment to full surveillance. Solid television...9 series!

I absolutely LOVE my Samsung 55" curved tv, which is actually the 1st tv that I purchased myself. I have very high standards for all that I spend my money on from great food to great technology to great living spaces, and I knew that Samsung was the brand in a tv for me. The picture is amazingly clear, the color is quite brilliant, the sound is crisp and the design is sexy and sleek! All in all, I'm completely pleased with my purchase, and I'd recommend to anyone to purchase a Samsung at Best Buy!!!! :D

We upgraded from 40" to 55". The clarity of the picture is outstanding. As previously written, a sound bar is not really necessary because the sound on this tv is great. We have only owned it for a few weeks. We have had absolutely no problems, whatsoever. Easy to use. We had it delivered to our home and he set everything up for us. So worth the price to have that done! I highly recommend this television.

Great picture. Sports are fantastic. Love the vibrant colors. Wife finally appreciates a HD tv. Really like the curved screen.

This is a beautiful television. The look is very modern. The picture right out of the box is unbelievable. I read a great deal of reviews before purchasing this. It was expensive, but worth it. The curved screen gives the tv a nice look I think. The HDMI box is a bit different than I was used to, but it works. The box feels like if you switched out the chords a lot there might be some quality issues that could pop up, but I don't plan on doing that so it's been fine. A great overall product.

My brother is using this TV in his man-cave and loves it. His guy friends who visit have been very approving as well. The TV has a beautiful picture and shows action to best advantage. Also great for gaming.
