works pretty well with Ubuntu Linux 18.04 LTS

Most of the time it works well. Sometimes the monitor flickers a little---I think it is a problem with computer, not with the monitor. (I bought this 55" monitor to replace my Seiki 39" monitor so there would be room to put a music keyboard in front of the monitor. The Seiki had the same flickering problem.)

Sweet!

I have a smart television (Samsung) that is four years old and it too is a sweet as this newest purchase here. Very simple to install and setup - I love having the preinstalled apps as well as other streaming channels already loaded. This was a catch as well as nice price point on sale.
