Not Impressed by the “upgrade”

I really thought that newer TVs would stand by their previous generation and build on top of that. Unfortunately this Crystal UHD processor was built so poorly that it won’t even allow you to smoothly move the menu as their previous model. I bought this TV hoping that the user interface was going to remain the same and the picture quality was going to improve by the picture quality remained the same. The user interface lacks in ease of use and “Game mode” is only allowed when an external HDMI device is plugged in. (this means that response time is bad unless you plug in something else, it can’t always be on). I’m hoping that the RU8000 goes on sale. I don’t know why the 2019 model is at a higher price still since it’s old but I guess the features alone speak for themselves.

The screen picks up every little bit of light. If you have a bright room or even light from other rooms, the screen will pick it up. Had a ROKU on it at first, but had issues. Went to straight TV streaming and the TV judders with certain shows. Overall, probably wouldn't recommend, unless you live in a cave.
