The picture is sharp and clear. The remote works very well. You don't even have to point it directly at the tv. It simply works. I had it delivered. Which I was happy about. However the delivery guys showed up at my neighbors and I didn't know they were there until I got the email stating they would arrive at 8:05 am twenty minutes after the fact. I did have a call from a number I don't recognize (and I never answer those) but they never sent a text letting me know they had arrived.

TV has great color and amazing speakers The 55” is a perfect size and fit for my living room. Setting up the TV was a breeze. I was able to pair my tv to the internet in a matter of minutes. Also, the best part, no tools required. The tv stand, two of them strapped in easily. Finally, the sound and picture are terrific and the price affordable.

So far so good - great price, great picture, easy to set up. I prefer a more cinematic look to the picture so the preset options are not perfect. The dynamic is probably good for sports and makes newscasts pop out. For me it’s too stark and bright. I don’t want to see every pore in a face. The filmmaker and movie modes are too dark. So I customized mine. You can do it manually any it may take a few tweaks along the way but it’s great there’s a lot you can do to customize it. I have a sound bar but the sound from the tv itself was pretty darn good. Surprising compared to my last Samsung when I bought the sound bar. I doubt I would have needed it for this tv but if you want more bass and distinction a higher end sound bar would definitely add to it if you’re not budge conscious. I didn’t want to pay a lot for a new tv as my old one basically blew after 6 years and it cost a lot more than his one. Was hesitant to buy another Samsung because of that but for the price, I figured if it could last 6 years this one would be worth it. I’m happy with my customization. It beats a cheaper Vizeo. Is it as good as the Sony? Well you pay a lot more for a Sony so if it’s price and quality you’re looking for, you will be happy with this.

This is a very good TV of the UHD tv line. The clarity and color are good. This is my second Samsung 8 series. It has the netflix, amazon, youtube, and even their own free tv services as an option on the bottom of the screen. I am not sure about other tv's, but this one has websurfing capabilities. The remote takes a little getting used to(a wireless keyboard will help with websurfing). So, the remote does not have numbers to choose a channel. It does have a netflix button on the tv controller(not that i use it) . After about 5 months of use, i thought the tv was doing a good job, so I got my parents one. This their first smart tv, and they are now used to getting the free samsung channels. They have decided not to pay their directv/dishnetwork for a unit and controller for their room. I even have access to a free channel app on the internet. This is not samsung's top of the line tv anymore, but the 8 series 55" is a good tv for under $500. This tv, like others has different options on video options to get rid of the surreal look to a more real tv look. it also has the lipsyncing adjustment option when the lips do not match the video. I had to use this, and it works.

This is by far the best and most colorful tv I have own. This is my first Samsung tv and I love it! My last tv would make my room hot when on for long periods of time but this one doesn’t. Easy to use and set up with a little patience. Gaming mode makes my games look way better and as of now im in no hurry to get the ps5 just yet!

The TV itself seems to be high quality, no issues there. I am not a huge fan of the source finding and number of clicks on the weird remote, but I'm getting used to it. Solid contrast compared to my other TV I bought last year. I definitely had some insane and frankly dumb logistics issues with Best Buy that ran me more than it should... but the past is the past now. It's got solid color and plays well with all of my devices.

I am very happy with the 8 series. The tv has auto updates. It switches between gaming and movie mode. The picture is clear from across the room. The remote is simple and easy to use. The TV syncs with your phone allowing it to be used as the remote. My opinion the best choice of TV in this price range. I will buy another.

This was gift for a family member's birthday of which we both have been delighted. A great companion to the Samsung Note 10 Plus for casting videos from one's cellphone etc. Currently going on two months with no issues. Great clear picture and easy Apps and to add more. Recommend a sound bar for a better sound experience all around.

We bought this for our son. He loves the picture and ease of operating the tv apps, especially the fact that he is using Spectrum Choice streaming now and there's a Spectrum app that can be downloaded easily. The only thing he doesn't like is the hand remote is pretty small and he has a little difficulty using it.

This tv has a gorgeous panel. The colors are very vibrant, (at least to me they are), and the picture looks really good for the price. I do come from an older tv keep in mind but I am absolutely blown away by this one. I'm thinking about replacing the rest of my tvs in the house with variants of this one.

For its price class, everything you'd expect from Samsung in terms of picture quality and features. Built-in speakers provide decent sound, and menu navigation feel intuitive. Plenty of connections in the back. Quirks: 1. Power cord is short. If you are wall-mounting the TV, or if the outlet isn't "right there," expect to use a small extension cord. 2. The remote: fits nicely in the hand and simplistic - too simplistic. The direction wheel needs to be used to navigate around too much, instead of single-button conveniences for key needs (eg, changing video inputs). 3. The remote: If you stream, Netflix and Prime Video have their own dedicated buttons. Disney+ does not (you have to download the app and get to it through the main menu.) I assume Samsung didn't predict that Disney would gain traction so quickly. Again, none of these are deal-breakers whatsoever, and you learn how to move past them quickly. I have the Series 8 55", and 2 Series 8 50". I considered the higher end Samsung models - and yes, there are picture quality improvements when you see them side-by-side. But at home, the Series 8 is all I need at a price I'm willing to pay.

No drawbacks to this tv, the picture is awesome and it was easy to set up and sync with my xifinity remote. I guess there is one slight drawback as I am going to get a sound bar for it. I have to turn the volume up louder to hear it like normal.

Image quality is wonderful, sound is clean and powerful. The remote control is easy to use. It comes with Samsung TV Plus channels, so we don't need to pay anything for them. This SmartTV is thinner than other brand I own and built-in Alexa. My family is very satisfied.

This TV is almost perfect. I consider it a great value for the price point, but I’ve ran into two rather annoying issues. The first is pretty minor, but occasionally when the TV is attached to a gaming output (a PS4 and Switch in my case) the colors will brighten dramatically to the point that the game is unplayable as you cannot see the images clearly anymore. This issue happens very rarely and usually loading up a different game (it only does it with specific ones for whatever reason) fixes the issue. The second and much more frustrating problem is an internet connectivity issue. The tv will, almost daily, disconnect from my wifi. Resetting the TV by holding down the power button usually fixes the issue, but roughly every other month I have to completely reset my router and my network settings to get it to reconnect and start the cycle over again. After doing some research I’ve found that this has been a known issue since 2019, and has not been fixed. I know it’s the TV as every other device in my home remains connected to the router with no issues. If Samsung would fix this issue I would easily give this TV 5 stars, but as it is if this would irritate you as much as it does me, I would look at other similar products. Had I known this was such a prevalent issue I likely would’ve purchased a different TV.

Bought this as a replacement for an older TV and was wowed! It paired with all my components on its own. I can control most of my devices with the TV remote. Which is awesome! Sound bar and Blu-ray player. I’m still learning tricks and tips. The picture is nice and sharp. And viewed from an angle easily. That was a selling point. The price is right for the quality. Happy consumer here!
