Poor Sound

When I have to turn a volume up to just about its limit is not a good thing. I am now going to invest in a sound bar, not happy.

So far so good! $500 vs $4000 for an outdoor TV. Thought we’d give it a try and all’s good!

Great picture, but sound and video glitches

Our receiver is older, but the optical sound line keeps switching to HDMI. Also, the video says it's not connected sometimes. Have to switch displays in settings. Really frustrating. The seamless switch from non-smart, to smart TV was not 100% seamless. We don't have this problem with our series 7, but that one is hooked up to our soundbar. A reveiver upgrade is not in the cards right now so we will have to make do. Just something to be aware of when buying this TV.

Thank you for purchasing Samsung’s TU8000 TV and for your review. I am sorry you are experiencing difficulties setting up your TV audio to play through your AV receiver.
1) When connecting the optical cable between the TV and A/V receiver, make sure that the sound output is set Optical on your TV.
2) In case of HDMI eARC connection, make sure that it is connected to the eARC dedicated HDMI port on your TV. However, the eARC can be used only when the A/V receiver supports the eARC feature.

Review of Best Buy Service and communication

The whole delivery process was a nightmare bec it was impossible to reach anyone on the phone and I was disconnected after loooong wait times. the right hand at BB does not appear to know what the left is doing. My calls were to insure that the installer knew it was a wall mount. Despite all my efforts, he did not which led to all kinds of issues. Although I was told he would be a member of the "geek squad," he was an independent contractor. I did not have a good experience with BB although I did with Preston and Samsung.

Perfect TV for the bedroom
