Very nice Samsung TV. It is easy to set up and takes only a few minutes to get started watching. I also like the Samsung Plus app. Can't go wrong with free tv. I have owned a few Samsung's. I have also owned a LG. Always like the quality of Samsung.

Replaced an LG TV that was deficient at smoothing old movies and non 4k quality pictures as well as having an operating system that did not welcome a lot of apps. This Crystal UHD does a great job of upscaling as well as allowing a lot more apps including the Spectrum app to run natively. I've been pleased with the picture whether through streaming, cable, Apple Play or direct from DVD player. Negatives are that the remote is horrible if you don't want to use voice control and the policy of not letting me, the TV homeowner, delete off the home screen big name apps that I don't use because of their licensing deals is frustrating. But all in all, the picture is the most important thing and I have been very pleased with that.

Tv works just fine. Picture is good. Sound might be a little lacking but not major issue. Love the remote. So easy to access Netflix. Set up was easy. My only concern was the legs for tv. They don’t seem very sturdy. Last Samsung had base that was in the center and was sturdier. I guess they are fine tho tv hasn’t fallen over so must be fine.

Picture quality is awesome, and the ease of use is very good. The only thing I would change is to have a button on the remote to go directly to TV instead of having to choose it from the on-screen menu. Overall value is excellent.

TV has great picture. It was easy to set up. The supplied remote is a little difficult to use. It has very few buttons and relies on scrolling through menus. For normal operation I use the universal remote supplied with my cable service.

I wasn't sure I would like the Tizen OS at first, but I am actually very happy with this TV. I like the quality of the TV image, the navigation and even the remote itself is very nice. I like it better than the old Samsung OS on our 2012 TV.

I just replaced an 9(?) yr old curved screen version of this tv with the newest model. Much improved internet tv, simplified and smaller remote, great picture on all sources!! And considering it was less than 1/2 the cost of my old one, I'M A HAPPY CAMPER!!

This 55 inch TV is a little bigger than I had set out to buy for my small room. However due to the amount of pixels and the clarity of the picture I am able to sit a little closer than I would have if I had bought the smaller 40- 43 inch TV in 1080p. It gives me the effect of being in a theater (almost) and the picture quality is so good I sometimes feel as if I am looking at a 3D picture. I love it. If I was able to do it I would give it a sixth star. Due to the popularity of the 55 inch class TVs I was able to get a better TV for less than the 43 inch that I was looking at.

Haven't had any issues yet. Set up was very easy, connecting streaming accounts was flawless. Standard sound I'd give 9/10, after a certain point the volume became constant to me. Didn't have this issue with my sound system connected.

This TV is large, clear and easy to use. It is has all the added features I need, like Hulu and Netflix. I like that there is a Samsung television option. They have a weather channel I like to watch; however, these channels can lag or buffer.

I was in a bind needed a tv excellent choice beautiful picture easy to connect and well informed by seller only thing needed to get new screws to fit on mount dose not supply and the hooks on this tv are made different so could not fit

I’ve owned only Samsung’s since 2015 when I did the research in them, and they’ve continued to live up to the standards set in my original research (still some cons, so read below if you want the negatives). This series 8 replaced my series 6 that was cracked by my toddler wielding a stick. This 8 was a great TV for the price. Got it open boxed, but everything was in working order. Nice clear picture, great smart features. The newer operating system runs much more smoothly and has some new features which are nice. Pros: Best picture for the price I’ve found No light bleed around edges Good smart features, including built-in AirPlay for Apple devices. Cons: Screen glare can be bad on dark scenes, even with the brightness and contrast all the way up. Motion Blur/Judder needs to be adjusted down to 1, unless all you’re going to do is watch sports. Speakers leave much to be desired, and often require closed captions to catch the finer details of speech, unless we want to turn the volume way up.

Excellent color and picture quality. Love being able to download apps right to the screen. Very quick to respond. I'm still learning how to navigate through all the choices but it's a major upgrade from my previous TV.

Love this TV. Easy to set up and use. Perfect size. Darks can be a bit too dark but can adjust that to your liking. Comes with Samsung TV plus which are stations on tv for cooking, outdoor, diy channels, etc. Enjoying it so far.

First i want to say picture is great. I have no issue with a TV when it comes to a quality of a picture. My problem is with a Tizen system, wifi disconnecting and amazon prime video constantly not working. Tizen system is slow and unresponsive i have an LG tv and LG system beats Tizen, no comparison at all. LG is fast and intuitive, Samsung not so much. I am constantly have issues with wifi disconnecting when i stop watching tv. There is no problem when i am watching something but when i take an hour break or turn off tv i have to restart the system to get connected again. Last thing amazon prime video, everytime i turn off tv and come back to watch prime there is an error. With my LG tv i never ever had any issues so i know it's not the app. Overall not really happy, i will definitely buy LG next time. Samsung needs to up their game to make the features and the tv system better.

My mom is 94 years young and had difficulty seeing her much, much smaller TV or reading the closed captions. For her birthday/Mother's Day present, we showed up with this 55" TV. She can now SEE her shows as well as read the captions (her hearing has been poor for several years, even with hearing devices). For an active woman who loves watching the news and a few evening drama type shows, and a mom who would do anything for her kids (she had 7) this is the very least we could do for her. She always says she doesn't "need" anything so I told her this was a "want" and not a "need". Glad to be able to maker her life a bit better by giving her this television.

this is a great TV with a great picture. I'm new to the Tizen format but learning quickly. It's fairly user friendly. The price was good (Black Friday). Our last 3 or 4 TVs have been Samxung, we really like their products.
