I use mine as the primary monitor for a flight simulation system. Works well. I sit 3' from it and I do notice a little darkening in the far left and right few inches but nothing I can't live with. Viewed from farther away there's no visible darkening. And the price was right - a 3-monitor configuration would have cost a lot more and I wouldn't have the vertical field of view I get using this TV.
