This is the step up model from their basic offering. A few reasons to recommend this is because of 3 HDMI inputs here, base model only gives 2, and more reviews, too many really, note sketchy quality control on the base model. Meaning your really only paying for a name there. While again this is by no means brilliant it is more than adequate for anyone looking for a budget smart 4K TV by a reputable brand. Not personally wild about the legs here, their stable enough, just personally don't care for the look. However for the money this ain't a bad option. There's definitely better out there, but you'll also have to pay up for them too.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First and foremost, the TV never had the great resolution that the store display model had (and that is from multiple sources, including: antenna TV, cable TV, BR disc, 4K streaming sites, and 4K BR disc and player). I don't know what the stores use for their displays, but it sure is something that most people do not have . Perhaps the manufacturers give them something for their TV displays that makes them look much better than in the home setting? The "upscaling" does not work I assure you. Sound... be prepared to buy a sound bar for the TV. Also. my TV has started to develop an audio stop for about 5 seconds every few minutes, and it is extremely annoying and not supposed to do that. By "audio stoppage", I clarify that there is no audio for about 5 seconds every few minutes, but there is video during these erroneous events. Yes, I did update firmware and software, which did not rectify the issue. I have been disappointed to say the least. I highly doubt I will purchase another Samsung TV in the future. Oh, and be prepared to watch the TV in total darkness... no lights on in another room or anything because the glare on the screen will make the scene look awful from refection. Oh , and dark shot scenes (like HBO's entire new Game of Throne: House of Dragon Season 1 4K BR disc) will get you really upset because the TV cannot accomoddodate for dark scenes.. so much HDR

First, there are several picture and audio settings that you can adjust, which should improve your experience. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: This is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also go to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings and configure the image settings to your taste with additional functions.
Additionally, there are several sound settings you can adjust to suit your personal sound preferences. Change the Sound Mode by going to Settings > Sound > Sound Mode.
You can also customize the sound with Expert Settings by going to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings.
Next, if your audio is having issues with freezing or delay, it could possibly be a source issue, but if you’re hearing an audio delay across all sources/channels and you have a Home Theatre System or other speakers connected to your TV, you can access the Audio Delay settings to increase the audio delay. Go to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Delay.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am returning this TV today. It pops or clicks non-stop, even one day after it was last turned on. The popping accelerates if you adjust the tv mount or simply open or close the door in the same room causing the TV to vibrate. Even when everything is still and the the TV hasn't been used in hours, it pop----pop----pops. I'm not waiting until it quits, returning today. And no, Samsung, it's not the case expanding or contracting as the TV cools. It doesn't take 24 hours for the TV to cool. As for the performance, just know that you will experience motion blur when watching sports. This is a 60Hz TV, and still costs 600 bucks. The picture clarity, color and viewing angle are what give this TV its upside. Watching shows on Netflix works just fine. The remote is too minimalist for my taste. The Tizen OS is ok.

Constant tapping sound in two TVs :(

My Tv makes a constant tapping noise when it’s off, and stops when the Tv turns on. I had gotten a replacement and the replacement does the same exact thing:( I am currently getting it taken care of. I noticed someone else just recently had the same tapping noise in this Tv. However, this TV would be perfect if I didn’t have these issues. It still has a Gorgeous image. I wonder if my Best Buy got a bad batch of TVs.

Occasional creaking, popping, or cracking may be heard. With this in mind, here are a few quick tips on how to reduce the expansion that can cause these noises.
1) Ensure that there is adequate ventilation. Some enclosures may not allow for proper ventilation. This causes the internal temperature to increase and the plastic to expand even more than normal. For recommended ventilation requirements, please see your user manual.
2) Make sure there aren't any heating or air conditioning vents pointing directly at the TV.
3) Verify that the TV is on a flat and level surface. Tilting or an uneven stand can increase these noises.
