Out of the box it was pretty easy to set up and use. We don't have cable at the house this TV is in but was able to set up the direct tv online access, netflix, hulu, amazon, etc. without any problems. The only downfall for me was that I placed it inside of an entertainment center and the pedestal this tv sits upon is way larger that you would think is necessary. Overall pretty happy with everything but the premium price. It was the only tv with the 240 refreshment rate however. I have a samsung phone and streaming from my phone is pretty cool too.

Samsung has a real winner with the 2018 models with Game Mode. Forza Horizon 4 looks fabulous as well as Black Ops 4. Xbox One X allows outputting a 1440 120p signal to the TV, so Forza Horizon 2 plays very smooth at 120fps, but Forza Horizon 4 will kick up to full 4K with HDR, with Freesync activated Samsung has the absolute best smart TV apps, features and remote.

At first I did not notice the difference in the curved screen but after a few days it was apparent. We have several TV's and going from one room to another the quality of the picture and the viewing radius were obviously better with the curved screen. We are very satisfied with the Samsung 8500.

Seeing the TV in the display room is one thing but setting it up is not so easy. The defaults just do not seem to cut it and there are so many settings that one really has to play in order to get the right balance for viewing. I have it now where I like the settings and am writing them down for future reference if the settings are overwritten somehow. That being said, I now have a rich, vibrant and beautiful picture especially on live shows or newer game shows. The black and white shows of years gone by are very clean too but sometimes require changing the brightness a bit else they are a little dark at times. The color shows are very good too though not quite as good as the live shows or more recent movies with the 4K format. To be honest, once the TV is set to my liking, I find myself watching more of it now. It just takes time to understand the settings and what they do. Sports are great and it is set up just in time for Super Bowl 53.

Very shortly after I bought the NU8500, I experienced a reconsideration and immediately purchased the Samsung QN55Q7CNAFXZA --- this is essentially the same TV as the NU8500, except that it is from Samsung’s trailblazing QLED line of 4K TV’s. I viewed the NU8500 at much length at the area Best Buy, and I will readily tell you that If you don’t have or otherwise don’t want to invest the extra $700 for the QN55Q7CNAFXZA, then absolutely do not hesitate to get yourself an NU8500 and get ready to enjoy a fine, fine TV. (I probably should have never purchased this TV. Bought it --- took it home --- never removed it from the box --- returned it to area Best Buy for refund. Staff at Best Buy removed TV from box and plugged it in (it turned itself on) to look for dead pixels, etc. No problems whatever, and one of the staff commented that the picture was beautiful --- I wholeheartedly agree. This is an excellent TV; and, my decision to return it was about my indecision and had nothing to do with the TV.)

We needed a larger TV for our family room. This TV right perfectly fills the bill. The curved screen makes viewing from the side very good. We’re now considering acquiring the 65” version to replace this s and move it to the bedroom.

This TV has the awesome picture and features I wanted. Clear picture, 4k, fast apps, will connect to devices easily. Turn the TV on and it turns on my surround sound and my PS4 for me, settings can be changed to not do it as well. The remote also works for other devices I have, very nice.

This is our first Smart TV experience. Have it for 4 weeks already. We are enjoying it so far. Hope we will not regret our purchase and the decision made towards Samsung, I am really glad we choose curved. It does make a difference. 8500 Series does matter. Would recommend to our friends.

Never really understood why... curved TVs. Then I bought one after standing in the showroom for an hour. I can see a show from every angle in my room. Great sound even without a sound bar, great picture besides! Best Buy I’ve made!

This is one of the best televisions I've ever had I hooked it up to my computer I play all my games in the computer mode at at least 120 frames per second the color is outstanding I couldn't ask for a better television if you want the great TV I highly suggest this

We love our new curved tv. It was worth it to spend the extra money to have it curved. Has a totally different look. This particular tv is affordable, and you get a great picture quality. It isn’t too big or too small for a living room. I’m very pleased with it!

I love this TV! Sports, nature shows, whatever, the picture is unbelievable. My space required the TV to be in the corner of the room but with the curved screen, you can watch from anywhere in the room and experience a great view.

Easy Set up, Awesome Pic & I added a Sound Bar based off a few reviews! It’s great because my living space is so open! TV has a great clean pic & I love all Smart Apps & voice Control! Also had them price match & saved even more $$$&&

The 55" T.V. is virtually borderless and all screen and fit exactly like my old 46" one, which had a very wide border. The curved screen adds depth and the 4k images so clear. Smart T.V. and top of the line. I'd recommend it to anyone.

If you've never viewed a curved screen TV, you don't know what you're missing. The colors are vibrant and pop right off the screen. The curved screen gives you a larger viewing angle from the sides.

Looks amazing, smooth, and exciting! The curved display is really something else we all need to try. Loud, hardly ever raise volume over 11. Colors look amazing, everything looks crisp!

The TV was easy to set up and use. The curved screen makes side viewing excellent. Be sure to adjust all setting for maximum viewing. I called Samsung for help with this. They were very helpful.

This tv replaced my old curved Samsung I bought when they first came out and wow they really made some fantastic improvements I really enjoy the ease of accessing everything I want to watch

Works great, exceptional picture. Can see from every angle of my living room and kitchen. Colors are unreal. Puts my old Samsung to shame.

I was skeptical of the the appeal of a curved screen but after getting this tv I am sold. The picture is crisp, no lagging and the view good from anywhere in the room. No bad angles.
