So far three weeks with it and it is working as advertised. There are some shows that it feels like you are standing in the same room as the characters... the navigation and menus continue to surprise me...

The Q8 is a phenomenal tv I just recently replaced my 55KS8000 from last year with the 55 Q8 and it's a huge step up. The first thing I noticed in picture quality was the increase in black levels from the 8000 it's a huge difference. Second thing I love is the invisible cable that connects the one connect box to the tv it's a genius setup for mounting purposes. But even if your putting the tv on a stand like me the stand itself hides all the power cables inside of it and it's such a neat sleak looking setup with no wire mess. This tv is amazing and with 60 watt speakers built in a soundbar isn't totally necessary if your putting it in a small room. The metal backing is sexy as well. I would 100 percent recommend this or any of the Qled tvs to people the picture quality and style just can't be beat.

Great TV. Q7 is the most popular model of the QLED series. We choose the Q8 with the cured screen. Glad we did . 2 years ago we bought a 65 inch SUHD for the living room. This tv we purchased for our bedroom. Better picture quality we have ever seen.

Best television I’ve ever had. You can see the picture from any where in the room, unlike the flat screen where you must be right in front of it. Sound is awesome with a sound bar. Like being at a theater

I purchased this TV (monitor) about a year and a half ago, and I still love it. I have now played regular TV, cable TV, streaming services, internet access and recently video games in everything from regular definition to 4k UHD on it. Everything looks beautiful, but use the high end as much as possible. And frankly, though many considered it a gimmick, I love the curve. I have had it in two different apartments and the curve helps the picture be amazing from many locations around the room. I highly recommend.

The picture quality is incredible! You can tell the difference in the quality of filming. You can see the difference in the commercials. Some are filmed with high quality cameras and some are not. The people seem so real with a 3D effect. I highly recommend this TV to anyone.

My previous TV was a Samsung that I owned for 8 years. The curve is perfect for our wide viewing area. The picture quality is great but we have yet to tweak the settings. Occasionally the picture motion looks a bit off but I’m confident it can be corrected I just haven’t had the time. I would definitely buy this again!

Typical Samsung TV, great quality and superior picture. Easy to set up as well, and to hook up other components to it. The curved screen is nice too, since it allows you to see it from different angles too, not just straight on. No complaints!!

Great set up, colors are bright and vibrant, sound is also nice, my only real complaint is the mouse pad feature they removed from the remote.

Was not originally to keen on getting a curved TV, only because the concept is only valid for a certain position from the screen, but the TV met all other expectations.

Love the fabulous high-quality picture on this television. In addition, the remote has improved dramatically in functionality over previous Samsung TVs. Overall, this is a wonderful product.

I am an avid Xbox gamer, and when the new one X came out I bought it. I loved the better performance in loading times and performance, but I lacked a 4K TV. Previously, I used the Samsung UN55D7900 from 2011, which is regarded as the best 1080p TV that Samsung ever put out and it looked gorgeous but in order to harness the power of the new console, I had to upgrade. The upgrade was made tangible in the form of this monsterously powerful TV the Q8C. Firstly, I'd like to thank Samsung for making their products very user friendly and easy to assemble. Even the accessories are streamlined and intuitive. When I opened the box and slid the styrofoamed juggernaut TV out, I noticed that it was positioned in such a way that one can attach the stand and wiring before even taking the TV out of the box , which minimized risk of damage. All you need is a Phillips head screw driver and you're set. Speaking of wiring, its compartmentalized where the wires can be hidden in the back of the stand and covered up. That plus the TV's sleek metal back and curve invoke one adjective: SEXY. Anyways, I don't use wallmounts so I won't be getting into that subject, but I will say that the TV is about 50 lbs so make sure you have a good stud finder on hand and a stable wall if you go that route. Set up is a breeze with the "all in one box" which contains your hdmi ports, IR OPTIC ports, USB, power and your basic smart TV set up. I enjoy the aesthetic of the box as it's a small rectangle of brushed black metal that's easily hidden for a clean looking TV setup with minimal wires showing. The smart remote is just as gorgeous in its functions as it is in aesthetics. Metal, sleek, simple which takes 2 triple A batteries and I have to note how pleasing it is to open the battery port and to close it. If you have this TV you know what I mean. As for the curved screen, I was hesitant on getting it but the curve is minimal and you still get a great viewing experience when watching from an angle (an extreme angle may be problematic, but then why would you watch TV like that?). At 55 inches, it fit perfectly on a very stable and sturdy stand, and only measures 48 inches which is perfect for me. After connecting my XBOX one X with a monster black platinum hdmi cable (which I staunchly recommend to get the full effect of this TV) I turned it on and found the basic Samsung set up waiting. After that, then I started to game. Turning on the Xbox and looking at the display in all of its 4K glory was as if I stared into the face of my true love for the first time, enamoured and with so much I want to say, but so disabled by its beauty that I could not get the words out. This TV drips quality and perfection in sound and display. The images are bright, crisp, colourful, and just amazing all around. Now, QLED is new and OLED has been around for awhile. Samsung has the quantum dots with an LED backlights while other brands hand and organic dot where light emits from each pixel. I have sounded like a Samsung mark for this review, I know, but here's some truth: The OLED display is preferred by many as being overall better than the QLED setup in regards to contrast of colours, notably blacks and whites. However, the QLED that's exclusive to Samsung is far more vibrant in its color display and brighter. To be honest, I can see the quality of an OLED TV, but there's really very little to recommend OLED other than slightly better contrast, and I'll now explain why: Another key component here is the Q8C's refresh rate in generating frames per second of an image (hertz). The Q8C boasts a powerful 240 hertz refresh rate while a high quality OLED TV like LG, has 120 Hz. Now, regular cable is shown in 60hz and these two setups upconvert to their refresh rate. The LG has twice the power of frame rate upconversion, but the Q8C has the power of up converting to a frame rate that is quadrupled, and that combined with the ability to customize judder and image projection details gives the Samsung image its legendary "soap opera" viewing. OLED has been out for awhile while QLED is relatively new. Now common sense says to go with the proven technology, however, I have used Samsung products faithfully and can tell you that your expectations of a gorgeous viewing experience will be exceeded; in movies, on cable, and absolutely in gaming. It looks incredible, sounds amazing, is easy to set up and use, and is well worth the $2200 price tag. Bravo to Samsung. The Q8C is the BEST TV you can buy. Period. PS- any Xbox or PS4 players, make sure that the TV setting are geared to HDR+ and check the display status on your respective consoles to make sure that it is fully on board with all the UHD options that the Q8C possesses for the best viewing experience.
