It has what I wanted - great picture quality, ease of use, and smart TV functions. Sound is even decent. I have never been disappointed with the picture, however I've had issues with some of the smart functions. Netflix constantly gets "stuck" and requires me to unplug the TV. Netflix only offers unplugging as a solution. Also can't get my computer connected using Samsung's program - it offers no support. I would buy this TV again - and I think I can get these problems fixed.

Bought this TV for my parents in Detroit. Bought it online and had them pick it up in Detroit which went seamlessly. My dad was able to mount the TV on his own. The TV itself is user friendly and my parents were able to hook it up without any problems. The smart TV interface was very easy to use. Recently they bought a keyboard and mouse to use the TV to browse the internet. Very good quality picture as one can expect from Samsung’s in this size range. Overall I’d consider purchasing another one for myself.

Samsung is one of the best tv brands you can buy. This specific one is 4K and looks truly amazing, especially across 55 inches. Excellent sound and easy to set up. Attaching the stand was a little difficult, but I'm not exactly the handiest. Still didn't take much time and I couldn't be happier. I got it while it was on sale too so $500 aint bad.

The TV looks amazing. I also have higher end Samsung sets in the house and you can't really tell a difference when it comes to the screen. It does lack in features such as Bluetooth and having a different (crappier) app selection than my other Samsung TVs. Just hook up an Apple TV or chromecast and you're good to go. The remote isn't the best in the Samsung lineup but you're really buying this TV for the 4K screen and it's good for the price.

Great TV! We bought this television at a great price for our living room to replace an LG tv that wasn't "smart". We are really pleased with the excellent picture quality and the ease of accessing the "smart" features. It took a little time to get used to the goofy remote, but now we kind of like it. We definitely recommend it!

My 3 year old LG tv stopped working so I switched it up and went with Samsung. My main source of entertainment comes from DirecTV Now so I don’t see much 4K other than Netflix. Even in 1080p, you can immediately tell a huge difference from other TVs as far as clarity and color range. Colors pop way more and just looks better in general. My only gripe would be that the operating system is slow. When moving around in the menus, it reminds me of my old first gen iPad mini.

We simply wanted a larger TV in our family room for movies and games, and at 55" this serves the purpose. This is our 1st LED (as I prefer the plasma, but they're no longer available). Being color blind, I can't help a lot on the picture other than my family prefers the "natural" setting compared to the other 3 standard options, although you can tinker within each of them as you wish. One negative has been that on occasion our OTA signal seems to freeze up while watching a program. It does provide a visual guide of programming comparable to what cable provides for channel surfing, but again sometimes lag as you move through the pages. It provides 3 HDMI inputs along with an RCA & other combo, although you have to use the adapter that is provided to use this option and can only have 1 of the 2 plugged in at a time for it to work properly. It possesses a variety of smart tv options, including web browsing, although we already had a roku stick and prefer to use that for our streaming needs. The audio is fine by itself, but we'll probably get a sound bar in the near future for the sake of our movie viewing as the sound seems somewhat limited. The weakest part of the whole set is the cheap tripod stand it comes with as I fear it would snap pretty easily if the TV were bumped at all. For the money, especially considering we got this as a discounted "open-box" item, this seems like a pretty good value for the quality and options it provides.

I was looking to upgrade my 8 yr. old 40" Samsung 60hz. HDTV & found a great deal on this 55" Ultra HD Model 6290 Smart TV at Best Buy in Mesa. It was an open box model (hence the great deal). It was easy to set up & pair with my Samsung Bluetooth soundbar & wireless subwoofer. Beautiful picture! Light weight, ultra slim & sleek design. Samsung quality, reliability & reputation. I also own a 2 yr. old 55" Model 7100 Smart 3D TV. Samsung makes amazing TVs! I've owned nothing but Samsung for the past 10 yrs.

The quality of the TV picture is terrific, the online reviews helped me decide which to get, the installers were very patient and showed me how to use a new remote and set up many basic features for me including Netflicks and Hulu. The delivery was even a few days earlier than originally scheduled (great price on the TV but did have to wait 2 weeks to have it installed, 1 week if I installed it myself (not an option).

The picture quality on this low end 4k TV is excellent. The only down side to this TV is the remote. There are less than 10 buttons on it, which makes doing things quickly not possible. Suggestion is to get another remote. Also, since it doesn't have Bluetooth, try to find a keyboard to work with it has been difficult. Still, I would recommend for the price I paid though.

I bought this TV on sale to watch the super bowl. I have been using it for just over a month. The picture is great. As with most technical reviews for this TV, the blacks could be a little darker for daytime viewing, but for the price I cannot complain. The setup was easy. The ports are toward the side of the back of the TV so adding things isn’t difficult. Overall this is a great TV for the price with one caveat. There is a known problem with all Samsung TVs and connecting to Netflix. On day one it worked fine. On day two when I tried to connect, it got stuck on the profile page. I had to call Netflix customer service. I was told that this is a known problem and that Samsung and Netflix are working together to permanently fix it. The current short term fix is you have to unplug the TV for one minute and then plug it back in. I found it difficult to get the plug out of the back of the TV once plugged in, so for me, I needed to unplug from the outlet end. This is somewhat easy as I have the TV is plugged in to a surge suppressor. So far, I seem to only get two days out of the “re-plugging” fix. Then I have to do it again. I replaced an old picture tube set, so even with this inconvenience, the TV is great for the price I paid. I still have moments of awe when the picture is so clear.

This replaced a 42" LG HD TV that I had some problems with over the 5 years that I had it (Screen went black after 3 years and had to be repaired; A year and a half later the HDMI board failed and it was to costly to repair). I did a lot of research before buying this model. Pretty much all brands of TVs under $1000 have between a 4.0 and 4.5 rating. I did not give this 5 stars primarily because I cannot find an easy way to turn off the TV without using the remote. Also, the remote for this TV is much different than the standard remotes that used to come with the TVs. I like the old style better. I watched the ads on line and in the local paper for a few months until I thought the prices would not go lower (especially after being told by a Best But employee that TV prices would probably not go lower. I bought this TV and found the picture quality to be amazing especially when watching football in sports mode. I felt I that I got a good tv for a very reasonable price. But, then 2 1/2 weeks after buying the TV, Best Buy on line and in the local store, reduced the price substantially during a Pre-Super Bowl sales event. Since I had bought this online, I called the Best Buy Customer Service Line and received a full reimbursement for the difference. So, now I have a great TV for even a better price!
