We found this set on sale recently. We had been in the market for a new TV and this one fit our budget and hit some of my wants. It is really easy to set up, the picture is clear and has good color. The only drawback, and it may be our issue, when the set is turned on, the first screen is always the menu across the bottom. Just a little pain.

I purchased this Samsung 55" 4K UHD TV to replace a failed 32". They offered free delivery on top of the sale price & after reviewing the TV we could not pass this up. They delivered it in 3 days, It did not take very long to put the stand on using our new TV stand. The remote is different not many buttons but once I figured it out I love it! The picture quality & sound is incredible, Blue-ray play back is amazing , over the air antenna [built in decoder] is even a great pic., I use the smart TV with my WiFi to watch Netflix, Hulu etc. all the basic apps are pre installed. set up was very simple. We watch almost everything on this TV now! I would recommend this TV to family & friends.

I went to the store actually looking at a different 4K tv but this one was actually on sale and I've been a pretty loyal Samsung customer (phones, washer & dryer, etc) so I decided to go with this one. The picture is great and having all the smart apps pre-installed is great. However, for my husband who is not tech friendly, he's used to the older style remote controls so something sooooo simple is really getting to him. I truly think the remote could have been more user friendly so I wouldn't have to literally "teach an old dog new tricks". The remote is really streamlined and only has up/down volume and channel buttons and both of those are on a push lever/switch so no more up and down with different keys. You push the same key up or down to change. Not so bad. It also has a center/enter button, a round dial (like an old iPod), home, forward, and back buttons. The rest are gone so everything has to be scanned. No choosing numbers, etc. Also, the remote is not back lit so, if in a dark room (like watching a movie) and you're not familiar with where each button is located, you end up changing things you don't want to. The TV is great. The remote, not so much!

This is my fifth HDTV purchase in 10 years (this is my 3rd Samsung TV), and this perhaps the best TV I have owned so far. Picture quality is incredible, especially when playing videogames or watching a Blu-ray. Colors are vibrant and we'll balanced, and the contrast and black levels are the strongest I've seen since I last owned a plasma screen. The sound is okay, good for basic TV. But after hooking up my surround sound system, TV speakers sound flat by comparison. The smart features are neat, but apps and menus are somewhat difficult to navigate with the basic TV remote that this model is packaged with. Finally, while apps work and are convenient to have in the TV, picture quality seems to take a long time to buffer and fully load full HD quality. Running Netflix through the TV, the picture quality generally stuck to DVD like picture quality. Running Netflix through my Blu-ray player on the same movie, the picture maintained full HD picture quality the entire time. In summary, this TV gives perhaps the best picture you can ask for any this price point, but you may need a few external devices like a sounds system and dedicated streaming device to get the most enjoyment out of this TV.

I read several reviews before deciding to purchase this TV. I am not sure why all of them were not rated a 5 Star. True, some of the settings need to be changed to get the picture you expect with a 4K TV. The picture improved a lot when I turned on the ECO Sensor and put it in Home Mode. WOW!!! I certainly recommend this TV. You will not find one better in this price range.

This is a good starter to mid level Smart 4K TV. To those that have never ventured outside of owning a Smart TV, this will familiarize you to the world of ease and apps. It has plentiful choices of apps to run and a browser that is user friendly (although i wish the remote could be used as a laser pointer for moving around the browser selections). Blacks and colors appear right and vibrant, adequate choices of different viewing modes for movies, standard, HDR type colors, etc.. I've had it for a little over a week and I have to say I am pleased with its performance and quality. I've since seen movies from the 80s that i love and have seen a million times on older TVs and on this Smart TV it appeared so clear, crisp and clean that it was like watching these movies for the first time! Great job Samsung!

I'm very happy with my '55..!. I needed a large screen TV in the living room so I didn't need to wear my glasses. And it works. Now, I haven't had it very long, so there are things I have to learn how to set. I'm doing all the set up and connections myself, and I am missing a few. But it is me and NOT the TV that is slow...I am 70, and slightly disabled, so slow is my regular speed. But the TV itself, is working out great, it has a good picture, the price was wonderful, the delivery was excellent, so I REALLY have NO complaints...!!

I bought this TV since my LG 4k 49" smart TV gave up 1 month after the 1 year warranty expired. I saw great reviews on Samsung TV (suggested by a few TV repair folks that Samsung TVs have least problems among named brands) and also bought Geek-squad 5 year extended warranty just to be safe in case it would end up like my LG TV. It's been over 3 years and the TV is still running great in perfect condition without any loss in picture quality and sound. My wife is a home maker and we keep the TV running a lot everyday. I'm confident it will work flawless . Only down is the remote buttons since they've been used continuously for over 3 years.

This TV is great and easy to use. The image is excellent with the UltraHD and the SmartTV functions really make it fun and easy to use beyond your regular old TV. The sale price was also very reasonable so I feel I got good bang for my buck!

As my title explains. I came with my gf to purchase this TV during the Superbowl. The price plus 5-year warranty was a DEAL. Good features, and also has a setting for HDR.. not quite sure if it full HDR or the early stages. Since this unit was installed a different location and not at home I couldn't speak of the full experience on this review.

Great 4K TV for the Money

I am no expert on TVs, but in the 2 months I have owned this Samsung it has been great. I originally got a Vizio that was at the same price point. The Vizio was broken within a week (white line in center) so I took it back and picked up the Samsung. I expected the quality to be better from Samsung (and it sure is!) but what surprised me was that the picture for HD and 4K was WAY better on this Samsung than on the similarly priced Vizio. The Smart TV on it is intuitive also. It took hardly any time to set up. Overall I think this is a great set and I have no regrets with my purchase. Also, while there is not too many shows yet, the 4K looks amazing on Netflix and Amazon. Once you try it you will have a hard time going back to regular HDTV. Can't wait to scrape together enough money to buy that 4K player. Cheers!

After many weeks of research, i decided to buy this set because the incredible value. Image quality is excellent, and requires little to no calibration. Black levels are some, if not the best in this price range, and its smart tv features are top notch. Considering that this is the entry level set of Samsung's lineup, it is a very pleasant surprise that the TV has HDR support. Keep in mind that the panel does not have the complete wide color gamut of the more expensive sets, but the HDR effect is still surprisingly good. Especially in video games. At this price point, only the Hisense 8C TV can compare, and maybe match is quality. I highly recommend this TV to anyone who is interested in a 4k screen with HDR technology and is on a tight budget. 8/10

Love this tv. Picture quality is awesome and you can adjust to desired preferences. Set up and programming is super easy. I have an external speaker system hooked up for the best sound quality. We have ours on the wall and it is isn't weight and easy to install. Would definitely recommend and the price was incredible.

    A Great Entry-Level 4K TV

For it's price, whether it's the full retail price or Best Buy has it on sale, this TV is a great value. I have no complaints with video quality. There is a variety of excellent picture settings. The sound on the TV is great. Almost making the sound bar I got seem excessive. The smart TV aspect of it is nice as well and offers a great variety of apps to enjoy. Lastly, I've been led to believe this is a entry-level 4K TV. The 1080p content looks just as good as ever. And the 4K isn't the top tier of picture quality since this model lacks the true HDR. However it is 4K and looks better than the 1080p content by miles. If your looking for a high quality TV, but one that is affordable this really is the one to buy!
