Sometimes Too Smart

After syncing with a Universal Remote the TV has a tough time understanding that the receiver has to come on in order to put the sound through the speakers. So we have to tell it to start with a movie and then switch over to the satellite or Cable. PITA but only takes another second or 2. Have not been able to tell the TV to turn on after all other systems despite best efforts with Logitech remote help. It senses part of the system is on and it wants to join in. Sort of like a new puppy in the house.
