    Set up was easier than any TV I've ever owned, which is many. Once set up I was very unhappy with the quality of the picture. Granted it's a somewhat inexpensive unit, but picture quality is very important and easy to obtain these days. I guess I just picked the wrong one. Picking the wrong one isn't Best Buy's fault, It's mine. I guess we'll just watch it till the legs fall off. I would not recommend this TV.

    Awesome tv with great features and Wi-Fi connect. Note that sling tv is very slow, but all other apps work well. One small issue, when changing picture settings mode, sometimes I see black lines, but it goes away quickly. I freaked out at first but it’s really the software refreshing the settings. I decided to permanently choose movie screen mode and haven’t had any issues. I love the screen quality. The sound is very good too. I love this cheap tv.

    When the TV in our living room went out, it was still under warranty with Best Buy. Initially we purchased the 50in model as the replacement but later decided we could go a little bigger. It was a great decision. Our 55 in is mounted on a full motion mount and it moves beautifully. The TV has a thin profile and is light enough to move around with one hand. We love the sound and picture quality. The apps are easy to navigate thorough and we haven’t had any issues with it!

    Everything is pretty good with this TV. The things that kept me from giving a 5 star are that the remote is outdated and buttons are too close together and not very ergonomic. I ended up buying a knock off little black controller that the higher end Samsung TVs use on Amazon to replace the one that it came with. Much more simple and user friendly when navigating with apps, etc. The other complaint is that it occasionally loses my WiFi connection and I have to reset it.

    Wasn't planning on this purchase, but when a smaller tv stopped working, I took the opportunity to upgrade. Clarity and color are great. Hockey and football games are best viewed in game mode. There is slight choppiness during really fast action, but the game mode minimsises it. This and only 2 HDMI inputs are the main compaints from me. The built-in speakers are plenty loud for me. I always buy open box from Bestbuy because the return policy is so good, saved me $50 for brand new quality.

    We bought this Samsung 55" because we were so happy with our 65" that has a fantastic life like picture. I should have done my homework, the picture quality is OK but it is not the highest quality. Even more disappointing is that this T.V. DOES NOT connect to my bluetooth devices. I had to buy an adapter to connect my headphones. It's ok ,but definitely NOT top of the line. Great price but it will probably end up in a spare bedroom.

    Samsung has been a good go to for screens. However, this purchase had a few issues. Dead pixels a week after owning it. Because of the curved back, our wall mount was a challenge (very little detail in the manual). You will need M8 VESA bolts-length depends on your situation, but you must use supplied bolt holders. Set up software was not very user friendly. Returned the unit for an LG.

    We have no problems with this model. The sound is good, the picture is clear, and the only thing that was any kind of a problem was it is strange how far the screws were recessed for the wall mounting bracket. We got this to replace our broken TV of the same size and ended up having to go buy screws to fit because we couldn't find or maybe had never had the right size with the existing bracket to wall mount it. Other than that, it works fine and the price was fair.

    Bought this TV as a gift for our 80+yo cousin who had a smaller older TV with a picture that was giving his failing eyesight trouble viewing...so glad because he said this TV made him feel like his vision was 20\20 again! Only problem now his wife wants one too! Since she just had her 80th birthday we'll probably be going back in for a second one of these TVs real soon! We always buy Samsung and have never been disappointed yet!

    I'm loving this TV for the price. The one downside is the out of the box picture settings are not great, and many won't know how or when to make the changes, myself included. Already, many times I find myself watching dark scenes, thinking, I wish I could see what was happening here. Then I change the picture quality and it looks a little washed out... so I am struggling with the blacks and dark scenes.

    Definition is great, I like that there are multiple preset modes (standard, movie, natural) for viewing. I don’t use many of the functions, but the interface was easy to use and the remote worked to control streaming devices without me doing anything extra. I really picked this model because it fit in the space available.

    The TV is good. The picture quality Is great but we bought it so we wouldn't have to run our xbox to stream hulu and Netflix but this TV constantly has issues connecting with our wifi. Our modem is literally right next to our TV and it still has issues. We've troubleshooted the issue and still no fixes for it. Disappointed since we still have to use our xbox most of the time.

    I have had a Samsung 65 inch tv in my living room for the past two years. Best Buy had a good sale on55 inch so I bought one for my bedroom. The size is perfect. The price was excellent. The picture is awesome. And the performance of the tv has been sensational as well. I especially love the sleep timer and automatic shut off functions. I would definitely recommend this 55 inch Samsung tv.

    I bought this tv because of the great price and good picture. I was completely disappointed when I couldn’t use the apps—Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. The tv won’t connect to my internet, and I even upped my internet to make sure it was strong enough. Called Samsung and they keep telling me it’s the internet; called the internet and they keep telling me it’s Samsung. Have a technician coming out to check on the tv—hope they can fix it, or I’ll be returning.

    Great quality, bad wifi connectivity

    I bought this TV because I loved the quality and image. I have had it for 2 weeks (connected and using it) and I tend to continue to have ussues with it connecting to wifi or to keep connected. I have have called Samsung, Spectum (which seemed to be the issue) and nothing is wrong. I spend so much time and money getting this TV and it is inconvenient for me to go to the store and return, it took me for ever to get it hone because it will not fit in my car.

      Your router location and distance from the TV are important considerations -- having them both on the same floor with minimal interference blocking the signal (like a wall, etc.) will improve connection. You may also want to try wired LAN, if possible, since the connection will be faster and more reliable.

    I use the TV in my exercise room to view running videos while on the elliptical. 4k videos are just like being there. The colors are vibrant and the picture crisp. I use the TV for workout with Hasfit app. I had a 40 inch tv Samsung. The 55 inch makes a greater impact. It would nice if it had more than two hdmi inputs. The arc is a help.

    4.3/5.0 Stars. The television was easy to carry, setup, and install. The Wi-Fi receiver is a bit weak, but seems to work with the signal being about 60% of what would be expected from a Wi-Fi receiver so Netflix and Amazon Prime often get pixelated, but lucky me, my cable provider has access to both through the cable box. The image is great and the sound is very good so that a sound bar is not needed.

    I love this TV it even has better picture than the 8100 I bought last year. You can beat the price and quality. Sure it does not have some bells and vissels that the other ones have. This TV picture is amazing. It works extreamely well and Geek squad did a great job installing it. I have had this TV now for 6 months and it still amazes me how good the picture is. I can watch sports and regular movies and it's amazing.

    TV works great, beautiful picture, colors are great, easy set up. Had it for 3 days now, all good so far. Will update review down the road. Hoping it lasts awhile. Bought 2 different TVs in the last year and a half, both junk. Whatever happened to TVs that last 15-20 years.

    If you’re like me and buy a TV every ten years or so, it’s easy to bow sincerely in Samsung’s direction to thank them for the latest innovation. The 4K picture is so good, I’m not waiting for 5K. Smart features work well and setup is a breeze. You will find yourself resetting the network once in a while, especially if your wifi configuration is lagging behind throughout your home.
