I rweally need more help to get the hang of this. I went from nothing yo this and dfidn't have the cable upgrade yet so I am sdtruggling.

Purchased 55" based on glowing reviews. Unfortunately I did not install the TV immediately (My mistake for not reading the B B fine print) due to the warnings about needing 2 people & the "cautions" about damaging the Glass. After spending far too much time playing adjust the picture, my take is (1) a not so "Shiny fragile" glass would be a major improvement. (2) The picture is cold & cartoon like, much like a digital photograph.

UHD right down to the blemishes on a newscasters face.

I purchased a Sony 850E series TV in January of this year and two months later accidentally cracked the screen. Ugh... I decided that I wanted better color and deeper blacks on this TV than the Sony was providing so I initially was going to go with an LG OLED. I read lots of reviews and ratings which really just gave me information overload. My biggest concern was about the possibility of image retention with the OLED, even though that most likely was not something I needed to worry about considering how we watch television. I wanted deep, inky blacks and the OLED had it. I looked into the QLED televisions as well and read technical reviews on them. In the end, it was between the 55" Q6 and the 55" LG OLED and I was going to make my decision based upon what I saw with my own eyes. Both televisions look great, with deep and rich colors and both had deep blacks. I stared at the QLED for a few minutes looking at the blacks of the demo and it was pretty impressive. In the end, perhaps the OLED has a bit darker blacks, but under normal viewing in the home, I'm not sure I would be able to tell the difference. The Q6 QLED was $600 less, I didn't have to worry about image retention, and from my perspective both images were pretty much equivalent. Setup was easy, although you will need to run to the hardware store to pick up some bolts to mount your tv to a wall stand. The picture is stunning at home with normal "home" levels of lighting. Colors pop off the screen with deep blacks. The picture with 4K HDR content is three dimensional. Fit and finish are excellent. The stands are solid metal where my old (well, new) Sony was plastic and flimsy metal. Compared side to side, this tv has a better picture than the Sony 850E to my eyes. I don't like the Q6 remote - it needs more buttons to access functions of the tv. The remote is more about art rather than function, which is not helpful. The user interface is fast, much faster than the Sony 850E which was very sluggish. In all, I feel that I'm getting an OLED experience with the QLED tv. The technical specs may say something different, but I can't really tell the difference and I'm pretty picky about these things. My only real wish is that Best Buy had UHD Blu Ray players hooked up to these televisions so that you can compare the same content on different televisions. That would have made our decision a bit easier. The demo content is of course supposed to wow you in the store, but it isn't reflective of the content we all see at home.

Tv is great. I do not like the how the picture is not clear when internet is slow, i did not notice that on my last LED tv

Can be overpowered by the sun. Probably everything can be, but its brightness against the sun pales.

overall good experience, had problem with one of 3 tv's purchase, quickly replaced with a new tv no questions asked.

I bought this one for the bedroom. Could be one of the best TV’s I’ve ever gotten. QLED is where it’s at.
