Solid Picture, Wide color range

However, the color range is greater than on an oled. The image looks the best viewed directly from the front. It is full array but less dimming zones than the Q9; therefore, the image does not have the same degree of depth. Nevertheless, it is an excellent TV for both night and day time viewing. The Tizen operating system is also smooth and fluid.

This TV is pretty awesome and I kind of dig the Tizen OS, the app selection is actually pretty good. Nice being able to control the TV from the phone via the SmartThings app.

Initial program very easy to do. However, we still haven't gotten around to understanding everything the TV can do.

Vibrant colors are evident not only in 4K but with upscaling. Went to buy qf7, after discussing with sales agent and doing some homework, happy I spent the few extra 100s on the 8.

No 4k player so can't speak on that function. This is an incredible piece of technology. Couldn't be happier. Even the sound is ok for a flat screen.

Also, no matter what we did, it would not allow us to connect 2 headphones --- total disappointment on the TV's limitation to allow only one headphone. Otherwise, we like the TV.

I am sorry to see that you find the picture quality to be excellent, but not the sound.
This model features integrated 40W 4.1CH Dolby speakers with woofer. The Q8F also offers several Sound Modes and advanced settings to meet your personal preferences. You can find instructions for configuring these modes and settings in the e-manual: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201811/20181106112716991/ENG_US_KM2ATSCN-3.0.3.pdf
Please refer to page 97: "Configuring a Sound Mode and Expert Settings"
1) Select from Standard, Optimized, and Amplify Modes
2) Further configure Balance, Equalizer, Audio Delay, Auto Volume, Sound Feedback, and adjust for HDMI Input Audio Format and Digital Output Audio Format.
Only one Bluetooth headphone set can be connected at a time.

I bought it to use the picture app. And because it has the ability to blend into the wall. It's not perfect, and the app to out family photos is clunky, not to mention they make you download several Samsung apps and Grant permission for them to have access to everything! Overall it works well, and is a very nice tv.

I am glad to hear that you enjoy the picture quality of your Q8F QLED TV, and thank you for sharing your user experience with us.
Have you tried the feature "Make My Own." that lets you upload your personal photos? Simly go to Ambient Mode, select Photo, select Make My Own, then follow the instructions.
You can also customize your own wall background using the Flip Flop feature under Ambient Background.
You can access this feature by clicking on the app menu icon on the upper right side, then select Ambient Background.
Click on the Flip/Flop icon, and select where on the wall you would like to take the picture. Then follow the onscreen steps to complete the process.
We are working on perfecting the other option- the Wall Generation feature- at this time.
Once it is available, your Q9F will receive an auto update that activates that feature.
