First time buyer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve always bought Sony TV’s so I looked at reviews and this one had some good ones. The sharpness of the picture was a standout for me like a blind person being able to see for the first time. I like the Sony menu better, but I guess I’ll get used to this Samsung one. The setup is easy which I liked because it recognized all of my devices and having 4 hdmi ports is a plus. I also noticed connecting to wired LAN helps than using WiFi for your smart apps. The one con I do have is the remote needs more features like putting the settings button on the remote.

Samsung has the BEST Quality TV's!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is better than average! Gaming is great! The speakers on this tv are amazing, it has bass (woah!), it is so clear and LOUD! I love how realistic Cable TV looks! I have been wanting a Samsung tv so bad and finally I can't stop buying them or anything Samsung for that matter! So worth it to buy this TV, even unboxing it was exciting. New updates once in a while offer more and more new features! Gonna buy at least 1 more this year for a total of 3 QLED's. Shooting for 4 though! Thanks BEST BUY for the best of the best!

Wonderfull TV, fantasic picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So for my largest purchase of the year, I am very happy with this TV. I was very surprised by how heavy it was, but for the most part, set up was easy, have a friend help you. I like Samsung's new Less is More style remote, although I still need to use the cable box remote for some functions. I have a sound system, so I never tried out the TV's speakers, and while I am sure they are suitable, if your spending this kind of money on a TV, then use a sound system with it. I play a PS4 on the TV, and I am always amazed at how crisp, clean, and beautiful the picture is. Sections where the image is black appears pure black and the TV can get very bright, to the point that it hurts your eyes for a moment before the auto brightness kicks in. I have not had a problem viewing in my bright room in the middle of the day, although, there is still reflective glare. Online reviews said a lot about viewing angles being an issue, but I have not notice any issues with viewing angles, unless of course your at some extreme angle, and even then, you can still make out what's on screen. After getting this TV, I just now wish all TV programing, and my movie collection were all in 4k. I didn't notice any issues with the screen itself when I took it out of the box, it was packaged very well and removing the box around the TV was easy. One negative would be that it does not come with a One Connect box, like two cheaper TV's in this line, and the one more expensive one. This seems like a bizarre omission on Samsung to not use the One connect box. That being said, connecting the wires to the back of the TV is just like it sounds, and it typical of most TVs, I just that the one connect box is great idea and great cable management solution, but for this TV, you don't get it for some reason. I would recommend you get Best Buy to Deliver, as I said, it very heavy, and the box very large. Don't trust the delivery window you are emailed, mine came two hours before they said they would in the email, and at the very start of the window I was signed up for at the store.

Incredible Picture Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have purchase several tv's over the last 15 years and none come close to the Samsung - 55" Class - LED - Q8F Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR. The picture quality is so vibrant and the blacks are so deep that it leaves you eyes in amazement. Just watched Avengers Infinity wars, for a 4th time, on this new TV. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it to anyone looking for a new TV.

Excellent tv!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this tv for about 3 months and so far I have to say it’s the best one I have ever owned. The picture quality is excellent, almost like you are there! Colors are sharp and vibrant and although I do t have a sound bar yet the sound quality is great as well. I also love the remote that the tv comes with. It is super simple and straight forward to operate with very few buttons to navigate. Definitely have no regrets with this purchase!

Worth the investment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has an outstanding picture quality as well as many features. Adjusting the settings to your taste is easy and not a time consuming chore. Hookup to a home theater system or soundbar is also very easy. Sound without one is ok but using either with this TV is icing on the cake. It is the best TV I have ever owned and comparison of black levels to an OLED is so minimal that it’s not a factor in deciding.

Outstanding 4k tv!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In 11/17 I purchased an LG OLED that developed burn-in within 14 months. I worked with the replacement team and received this tv as a replacement. I have not been in the least sorry for my choice. I especially love the ambient light mode that dims the screen light. Since I have been having an eye issue, this has been a life saver! Stunning picture, easy to use, love the simple remote.

Samsung never disappoints
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a very picky guy when it comes to TV's and even after some throughout research I was still a little hesitant when I got the TV but... it did not disappoint. The colors on this TV are so vibrant and the black tones are some of the best I've seen in TV. Movie and games look great.

Amazing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a ton of research and comparing to other brands and models, the Samsung 55" Q8F does not disappoint. A lot of my electronics are primarily made by Samsung, so I may be biased, but their products are dependable and cutting edge. Pros: Nice and bright. Seamless motion with movies, games, and between apps. Sleek design. Easy to collect to Samsung account (for Samsung users). Pricing (subjective). This can be a con for some, but I personally don't see TOO MUCH of a difference compared to OLED TVs, asides from brightness. Black contrast is fine with me, but it's all about preference and your bank account. Cons: Remote is generally easy to use and I love the minimalist aesthetic Samsung has incorporated, but the lack of a backlit tv remote is cumbersome. VERY bright tv, especially with white. Be wary if flashes of bright light affects you. Not sure if it's just me, but the ambient mode feature doesn't work for me 100%. Still need to play with the tv and it's feature a bit more.

Unbelievable picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our main tv for several years was a 55" Samsung. One night while we were watching it, it made a loud pop and stopped working so I started my research for the replacement. I was very interested in the OLED, but several test sites showed that it it susceptible to image burn-in. That's when I decided to look at the QLED. It looks good in the show room, but then they all do. It had good reviews, so I took the plunge and brought one home. Wow, what a difference in pictures from my last Samsung. I can't wait for football season to return, so I can see how the games look. We use a separate sound system, so I really can't comment on the sound quality of the TV speakers. No regrets so far.

Great smart tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always been a big fan of samsung, but the q8 qled really does pull through as a leader...I think what I was most surprised and pleased with was 1. The ease of set up with wifi and existing products connected. . Also the ease of setting up apps through my galaxy s8 plus was a breeze! 2. Sound quality on this tv rivals other tvs with sound bars...I thought about purchasing a separate sound bar to go with this tv, but thought I'd wait and see how it was first... glad I did! I mean you won't get booming bass, but it's great for a small to medium sized room. Overall very happy with this tv!

Terrific in every way!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We saw this TV in the showroom and the picture was superb--and believe it or not--the quality and brilliance of color is even better at home. Some have complained about the sound, but we've had no issues at all, the sound is gr8. This is an investment in pure pleasure. The LED Q8F is terrific in every way and the popcorn is the "cherry on top!"

Best TV for 2018
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After looking for my next TV purchase , I wanted an OLED but did my research on QLED. Must admit, got me curious and had many positive feedback. Now that I have the Q8F, must say, Samsung knocked a homerun. As per performance, sound, color and brightness, it’s the next to OLED. I will send another review after my 30 day of ownership

Overall good tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this tv has been pretty good. I bought the tv before it was released and had it delivered to my home when the tv came in. The picture is phenomenal. My only complaints is that the remote will randomly unpair from the tv and the tv seems to glitch out at times and I have to turn it off and turn it back on to get it to function properly. Has only happened a couple of times but it it still annoying considering I paid $2500 for this tv. Other than that the tv is awesome!

Great TV for bright room
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I almost bought an LG OLED but was concerned about image retention, overall brightness, and my previous LG had problems with HDMI ports failing. Q9FN looked good in the store but didn't come in 55 inch. Q8FN looked just as good. Remote sucks. There are very few buttons and you have to go through several presses to get something doen. Luckily my universal remote works close enough as does the Mediacom remote. Geek Squad setup was good, Mediacom Cable picture is not so great on NBC, broadcast TV with antenna is fine, Amazon in HD or 4K HDR is excellent. I was worried about the glossy screen as my old TV had a matte screen. There is no glare or reflection. The Samsung anti-reflective technology on this TV works great.

Awesome TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is outstanding. The 4K is beautiful and the gaming is awesome. I was understanding that the Q8 comes with the One Connect. This model does not. I was a little upset about that. The legs come with cable consolidation so that you can hide some of the cables.

QUHD - Amazing Picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has the sharpest, clearest picture we have ever had. We change TVs every 3-5 years to take advantage of the most current technology. This TV lives up to the hype. We have it paired with a Bose 700 sound bar and bass module, having eliminated our receiver and speaker set up, and are not sorry. However, if you do not have any funds available for this setup, the TV speakers are not bad. In the past, the Samsung TV speakers were tinny. These are not. I’m not sure what the HDR feature is supposed to do, but whenever I press that button in the picture mode in settings, the picture loses its bright and sharp detail and gets dull. We are very happy with this TV.

Fantastic TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible picture quality, deepest blacks, brightest whites, amazing colour range! 4K programming is just jaw-dropping! As well as PS4 gaming. The Q8F comes with my highest recommendation!

Almost a 5*
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would’ve given this a 5 star, but the input options and the remote losing pairing a good deal of the time kept me from that. No component inputs and the headphone output, which I LOVE on my older Samsung upstairs, is non-existent on the Q8. The picture, however, is brilliant and amazing. The 4* in no way reflects the picture quality of this TV. That is a 5+* in itself.
