Expensive but so far, a great buy

Set up was a breeze. Just plugged in the cord to the cable box and 'WA-LA'! Spectrum is up and going. The remote is a pain in the butt to figure out but once the cable box was hooked up, I really didn't need to worry about the remote. The remote control buttons for Hulu, Prime Video, and Netflix is easy access when my mom wants to watch something not on cable. So far this was a great purchase. If things change in a couple months I'll update my review but so far so good.

The image was starting to degrade so we looked for a Samsung replacement. This display was stood out from the rest in the mid-range TVs we were looking out. Set up was easy and a quick connection to our wireless setup. The display was simply spectactular at rendering even the oldest show on our streaming services. The speakers seemed adequate but we already had our own soundbar which hooked up easily. Overall very happy with our decision and really enjoying the quality of the images displayed.

Phenomenal TV

The previous was about 10 years old. So this was a huge upgrade. The short answer is I love this TV. Feature after feature it doesn't disappoint. PROs - Picture quality is amazing - Sound is terrific - Processor keeps up with fast motion with no issue (unlike another brand I tried last month) - Apps are fast (internet speed dependent obviously but the TV itself has no lag) - Remote is intuitive - Remote is Bluetooth-based -- i.e. doesn't need line-of-sight to work like infrared - Solar-powered rechargeable remote means no more hunting for batteries - Every option I looked for: 1-button access to Amazon Prime & Netflix, idle time power off, parental controls CONs - The remote, while completely full-featured and functional, feels cheap in your hand. Plastic is too light-weight. Hasn't actually been an issue. We'll see after the kids use it for a month. - Haven't gotten Apple AirPlay to work correctly yet. This could easily be my fault -- I have a unique network setup. Will have to fix that and try again. All in all, I'm super happy with my purchase!

QLED is a solid choice

Crisp, higher quality, color poppin LED 4K viewing at an affordable price. Remote is solar charged, which is pretty cool. As far as sound, it's sufficient. Keep in mind with the thin screens, there is a compromise on how big the speakers can be compared to older LCDs. There are soundbars that can enhance the sound if need be.

Great TV but remote doesn't work with Cox Cable

We have tried setting that up numerous times, Samsung even sent out a new remote but it does NOT work. So don't expect their "universal" remote to actually work fully with Cox cable box.

Thank you for purchasing Samsung’s Q60A TV and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding your remote's ability to control your cable box. You may first want to reset your remote by pressing and holding Return and Enter (the center of the navigation pad) for more than 10 seconds. After performing this reset, you will need to pair the remote to the TV again. To pair, press the Return and Play/Pause buttons simultaneously for at least 5 seconds or until a message appears on your TV indicating that the remote is now connected.
Please ensure Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is enabled on your TV. With Anynet+, you can control external devices that are connected to your TV with HDMI using your TV remote. To turn on Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC), go to: Settings > General > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC).
If your cable box does not support HDMI-CEC, you will not be able to use Anynet+. You may want to contact your cable company to see if an upgraded box is available. If an upgraded box is not available, you will simply need to enable the Universal Remote feature on your TV’s remote with these set-up steps:
1) Connect your external device to the HDMI port of the TV, and then power on the external device. Your TV will automatically recognize the device when connected through HDMI and will switch the output. If it doesn't automatically detect it, then keep following the steps to set up Universal Remote.
2) Press the Home button on your TV remote to access the Home Screen. Using the directional pad on the remote, navigate to Source. When the selector is placed over Source, the Source menu will appear. Press UP on the directional pad to access Universal Remote.
3) Select Universal Remote on the Source screen. Next, select Start and make sure the device you want to connect is turned on. When your desired device displays, select it. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup and register the device. The instructions may vary, depending on the device type selected.
4) Your TV and the remote will memorize the external device and its connection port (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.) to make controlling everything even easier. Occasionally, the device may not respond after it's registered. To make sure the connection is made, you need to re-register the device.

Tv replacement and new install

Although the trouble i had to go thru to get it right. I would not wish on anyone. I was suppose to have pickup old tv(replacement tv that was no good) and install new one between 8am to noon. I got a call they were on the way to pickup tv and wanted me to take down off wall. They came about 1pm and to deliver a new tv that i did not purchase. Then said we(geek squad/best buy) don't take tv off wall. I spent the whole day trying to get someone to help. NO HELP. Was on the phone with Best buy & geek squad over 12 different calls. No help! My best buy store would not even answer the telephone. With no luck or help. One if the worst experience i ever had with best buy.

Best bang for the buck TV on the market today

I think this TV offers the best bang for the buck. I love it's easy set up and the picture quality is a jaw dropper. I also was surprised at how good the audio is. The solar powered remote (no more batteries) is a nice touch as well as Samsung free streaming live TV channels (100's of streaming TV options for us cord-cutters.

Easy to use and great clarity, color. It is so nice to have a smart tv to see which applications I want to use. The geek squad was right... log into my iPad to sign up for a subscription (ex. Amazon prime video) then once that is done, go to my smart applications and view the movies or tv shows I want to see.
