The picture is impressive, but that's where the positives end. Many of the built-in apps are malfunctioning, forcing me to rely on an external streaming device to watch anything other than Samsung TV or local broadcasts. Despite contacting Samsung support multiple times, they have been unable to resolve the issue. I've also worked with the app providers, and they've confirmed that the problem lies with the TV itself. While the solar-rechargeable remote is a commendable feature, it's overly sensitive to touch and can be frustrating to use. Overall, I regret purchasing this Samsung TV. This is a significant statement considering that I own numerous other Samsung products, including a watch, phone, Chromebook, and earbuds. Unfortunately, this device falls short of my expectations.

The verdict is still being decided. The picture is a very nice picture. However the remote is very small and I have petite hands. I ordered a Samsung Universal remote that is much easier to use and register with the TV. The connective box is not part of tv but a box about the size of a DVD player which sits in the back. I think that is so you can move the box and wires for other linked devices. This is also a VERY heavy TV. I had another Samsung that was very easy for me an average female to move. I cannot move this TV or lift it by myself. Even my brother who is strong was surprised how heavy this TV was. It has also had issues turning on sometimes. I use a ROKU remote most of the time since all my apps were already loaded there and I have SPECTRUM who even recommended using a ROKU app for Samsung tv because SAMSUNG's app for SPECTRUM doesn't work right. When I can't get in I just unplug and replug the TV. The picture is nice but not sure if there is a bug which prevents TV from turning on sometimes.

    Makes a great PC Monitor

I wanted to post an initial review of this TV because another buyer said it was not a good computer monitor. I purchased the TV to use exclusively as a PC monitor to replace two 43 inch 4K Samsung displays. I intend to use this monitor on a new PC build with an RTX 4090 video card. I will post a final review after I use it with the new build. My current PC has a GTX 1080 video card with 4K60 output and 8 bit 4-2-0 color. The display looks great out of the box. This is a very bright monitor so I cut the brightness from 50 to 20 and calibrated the TV using the Samsung app and my iPhone. I set the display resolution to 4K and 125% size. I had to recalibrate the Microsoft Clear Type function to improve text (Windows 10). I then calibrated the PC HDMI input (graphics card output) using a Datacolor Spyder X Elite colorimeter. I am getting 100% RGB color space and an excellent picture that tracks well with my Spydercheckr 24 color test chart. The picture quality from 4k to 8k is amazing. At 160 PPI versus the old 104 PPI, you cannot see the pixels. My Excel spreadsheet is readable at 173 rows and 90 columns. It also has a good TV image with 4k input. I can't wait to try it out with an 8k video card. CONS: (1) The stand is heavy but very stable. You need a strong desk. (2) I really wanted a 49 inch 8k monitor but this will suffice. (3) The rear main connector to the One Connect box has to be properly seated. (4) Windows icons with white letters have a slight color shift, but this is not due to the TV. I think it is a matter of adjusting Windows 10 graphics settings. Note: This TV was a great deal at $1799. I would recommend it to anyone with a capable PC graphics card. As for the one star review, I think that the person either did not have a capable graphics card, or did not set the PC/monitor up properly. I have had good success with three different Samsung TVs used as PC monitors.

This TV is good deal at $999. Has built in NEXTGEN 3.0 ota with one connect box. Good use as computer monitor. Watching a TV programing is less staller. The viewing angle is poor , fast action seen is not sharp , and bright white seen has high light bloom.

    Not so satisfactory.

Tv is great overall just not in good condition. Description says satisfactory but the condition the device was in when i opened it was far from it. First thing i noticed when i opened the box was there was no stand for the tv so i hand no choice but to wall mount it. Second there was white powder all over the back of the tv looked like dust from dry wall tried to dust it off but had no luck and now its permanently stuck to the back of the tv. Third and the biggest problem with the tv is the back panel is literally coming off the tv frame not so satisfactory if you ask me. At this point im not sure bestbuy actually checked the tv's condition at all seems like another dk oldies to me lol. Last but not least upon turning the tv on i noticed the tv had some dead pixels not so many and a little hard to notice but they were there nonetheless. Overall i wouldn't call the condition anywhere near satisfactory. Hopefully best buy will get it together and actually inspect the device before putting on sale and calling it what it clearly is not.

Great Monitor! Probably end game for most!

Just like others have pointed out this is a great display for PCs! I mean it's not an OLED but it doesn't have OLED burn in issues either. I got it in an Open Box deal too under $800 which was really solid for what this is. Previously was considering getting 3 4K 32" monitors or 2 LG Dual Ups, but honestly this is cheaper than those! Has the same arrangement as 4 x 4K in a 2 x 2 Grid of 27" monitors. So if you like a 27" 4K you'll probably like 4 of them haha. Some notes: Remember to turn on Game Mode for PC users. This is like 80% of people's complaints, is resolved when you turn game mode on. It turns off all the samsung processing and let's your PCs GPU do it instead. Also turn on VRR for your GPU too. Also check to see if you have 4:4:4 on the Chroma Sampling in the GPU menu as well. And tune the settings on Microsoft ClearType. Those settings, specifically Game Mode and Intelligent Signal Plus which are on the Samsung TV Menu, will fix 99% of people's complaints with using this as a monitor. Oh yeah sometimes this TV can have Judder or like sections of the screen can twitch and shake which is annoying. I haven't seen it after turning on Intelligent Signal Plus but before that the way to get around it is in WIndows Display Settings just change the refresh rate from 60Hz to 59.99994 Hz and it should go away. This TV can do 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120 Hz. I use it with a PC and my PS5 which also has VRR and ALLM for this display which is pretty great, along with 120Hz support. But yeah just turn on Game Mode and Intelligent Signal Plus on whatever you're running and you should be good to go! I haven't used it with a Blu Ray player so I can't tell you if you can keep the default non Game Mode settings on those.

Upgraded from an old 6th gen 43 inch Samsung to this and its been amazing the increase in size has been welcomed in my bigger room and the color and brightness of this thing blows the old 6 series out of the water. The 8k is great for thr content that can take advantage of it which isn't much now but there is room to grow this paired with my Nvidia shield thats plugged into it has been a great transition and works flawlessly. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for an upgrade.

I love the ease and picture quality on this television. I was quickly able to add all of my streaming content to the menu, and the directions were clear and easy. My only criticism of this TV was attaching the base to the screen. The instructions were there, but difficult to follow, and we were all college graduates. Otherwise, this is a very excellent product, we have always been fans of the Samsung brand.

Picture is very clear and sound (with soundbar) is excellent. Not too happy with the remote. It's very jencky at times and sometimes just won't work. Make sure it is fully charged. Otherwise good TV and happy I purchased. If remote keeps acting up it will go back and I'll ask for a new remote.

Ordered this TV as a present to myself due to me surviving a recent health scare, and I'M SO GLAD I DID. It was on sale for a really low price for an 8k set so I got it.. And I'm a Samsung fan. I will say that the cable or satellite provider makes a BIG difference. I had Spectrum and some of the channels looked like you were right there on the set or location of the movie or show you're watching on this television. I was in the process of switching to Direct TV when I bought it, and I guess due to being satellite the channels are not as vivid as cable. As for the TV and my PS5 it's UNREAL. Very vivid colors and brightness watching movies which is good for my 93 year old mother, and when hooked up to a sound bar it's like you're in a theater with clear and crisp sound. Even when I turn the sound up for music channels there's no rattle of distortion of sound. This TV is phenomenal and it replaces my ten year old Samsung set that STILL WORKS FINE. If you catch this TV on sale get it! You won't be sorry. Best Buy service was clear and precise, delivered on time and when they said it would.

This has been one of the best purchases I have done for productivity and leisure. Starting with productivity I am using this as a monitor. Check to make sure your video card has HDMI 2.1 and you can push 8K at 60Hz for massive productivity real estate. I prefer this over four 4K screens as you can use the middle portion of the screen as the main area with vertical zones on the sides for ancillary software. You do need to tinker with the settings to avoid dithering and any local dimming but it can all be done! Make sure you use game mode on the tv, and turn on g-sync to trigger VRR on the tv. Use this for turning off local dimming: https://bradshacks.com/disable-local-dimming-samsung/ For gaming, you do not want to be in 8K, just turn off game mode, switch to 120Hz and play in 4K. This thing is just perfect!

A great TV from its built-in in gaming hub to movie picture quality. Its thin and can display art like The Frame. It doesn't have a motion sensor as The Frame does. The sound is good for stock speakers. Whish i could pair with my Samsung BT woofer. 8k isnt real yet since even if there is content noone broadcasts in 8k. I do think the 4k upscaleing works well. I got this on sale for 1k and at that price id do it again.
