I bought the Samsung QN85A two days ago. I am satisfied with most of it's features. However, the Settings allow for 5 preset Picture Modes", Filmmaker and Movie modes which are way too dark for me, Natural mode which is a little brighter, Standard mode which is the default mode, and Dynamic for those who want a super bright picture. My problem is that the Standard mode does not work. I might mention that each mode has "Expert Settings" which allow you to tweak the preset modes manually by brightness, contrast, color, etc. All picture settings stay pretty constant while watching TV except in the Standard mode. When I set it to Standard mode the picture starts out with bright and high contrast settings as it should, but then the picture gradually darkens and becomes almost unwatchable after about 30 seconds. This happens on the TV and Cable Box inputs but not on the input with my Firestick. Therefore I am forced to use the Dynamic or Natural picture modes when using these inputs. I've searched for some other of the many settings which maybe needs to be turned on or turned off to fix this, but I can find no combination. If there are any experts out there which can help me fix this I sure would appreciate it.

Thank you for purchasing the QN85A TV and for sharing details of your picture quality. Generally, TVs have the ECO sensor on by default, which will dim the brightness and color according to the ambient brightness in the room. You can change the dimming feature of your TV by adjusting some of the energy efficiency features designed to reduce power consumption. The ECO sensor automatically adjusts the brightness level of the TV according to the ambient light level. If the ECO Sensor has adjusted the screen’s brightness level, you can select Min. Backlight to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness. You can also disable these features for steady brightness setting.
Disable Brightness Optimization, Brightness Reduction, Motion Lighting, or Contrast Enhancer by going to: Settings > General > Power and Energy Saving > and adjusting the Brightness Optimization, Brightness Reduction, and Motion Lighting.
You can also go to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Contrast Enhancer to manually adjust contrast.
