Bought this to replace a 14 year old Samsung 50" Plasma. 3 weeks in and the only issues are: The unit has a horrible "Soap Opera" effect that is extremely difficult to disable. Once done, it required considerable tweaking of colors to get true flesh tones instead of the pink tinged you get our of the box. Disabling the Smart Home Automation hub as the start screen was not very intuitive, and the instructions on it were vague. Everything about it is trying to funnel you into using a Samsung account. You can set this up as a "dumb" tv, but it is not easy

Thank you for your review. You will need a Samsung Account to access Smart Hub, our network-based smart service that includes apps (e.g., streaming service apps) and our other smart features available through your device.
For optimal motion image performance, you may want to adjust the picture clarity setting by going to: Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Picture Clarity Settings
- Off: Picture Clarity Settings will always be off
- Auto: Picture Clarity Settings will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched
- Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used. By selecting the Custom option, you can access these advanced settings for Judder Reduction, LED Clear Motion, and Noise Reduction.
Lastly, please know you can choose what your TV does when you turn it on by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Start Screen Option

The only thing I don't like is the new interface. it has advertising and has way too much information on the screen. Switching apps should not be this complicated.
