Great TV, impressive overall package
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm sure over time there will be countless technically-driven reviews. This will not be one of them. I'm not often an early adopter but in this case, having recently tested the LG C1 in the same room, own and just moved the QN90A from the same room, and have a Q80A in another in our house, I can speak solidly from the average dude perspective on the S95B. The C1 had an excellent picture. The UI and menus are irriatating and cumbersome. The 'magic remote' finds a way to be both antiquated and too complicated to get used to using at the same time. The picture settings might be great if you have a few spare hours to constantly mess with it. The lack of a serviceable cable management system on a TV of that aesthetic is awful. And only supercded by the incredible decision by LG to intentionally place it on a stand too short to accomodate a sound bar below the screen. Yeah let me run out and buy a random shelf O don't want so my totally average Q800A soundbar doesn't block the bottom inch of my screen. So many obnoxious aspects in attempting to own this TV (which was replaced in short order by the QN90A) that the picture quality couldn't even make the resr of it livable. The QN90A is all around pretty good, but in terms of picture quality does not touch the C1. It was right in my circumstances as a replacement, but, another Captain Obvious here can confirm here that QLED especially in a dark room pales in comparison to an OLED picture. And gaming on a PS5, doesn't hold a candle to the C1, regardless of whatever some expert dude's video review tells you. It just doesn't come close especially with a new gen console. The Q80A was decent for the money at the time of purchase and is used primarily in a bright room setting, but doesn't hold a candle to the two aforementioned TV's in most regards. Only mentioning this one in that if you're looking for a higher end TV, yes, you often get what you pay for. Something like the Q80 is not that, but it's been fun for me just to see some of the differences day in and day out. After only being with it a short period of time, to this Ordinary Joe, the S95B is hands down better than the C1 in my applications in every way. This thing absolutely is incredible. As others have probably said, it does feel like the best of both worlds. And somehow despite the price premium currently on it, feels very much justified. Superficially but also not, aesthetically it is also a beautiful TV. The bezel actually retains its sleek and eye catching design alongside an excellent cable management system and cover, unlike the 'there I fixed it' look on the LG no matter what you do. Clearly I hope this fresh owner's take ages well, but, so far so good. Actually great. If this TV is in your budget and you're thinking about it, run out out this instant and buy it. Try not to trample anyone on the way. If this is not thr best TV released this year whatever is will also have to be able to bring me drinks while I watch it.

Posted .Hi WillyOakview,
We’re thrilled to hear your feedback on the design of Samsung’s S95B OLED TV! Boldly discreet, the S95B has a profile so thin it was inspired by a laser beam. Love it.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a TV bigger than my 48" CX and slightly more brighter and boy this TV didn't disappoint. I had some concerns about ditching Dolby Vision, but those concerns are gone now. My 1st day with this TV was literally me saying "it's too bright!" I'm still getting used to it and I really wish the remote had an input button, but outside of that it's amazing. Speaking of remote, the remote doesn't need batteries. It changes using light from the room. It's pretty incredible to be honest. No complaints so far.

Happy Sci-Fi Fan
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We watch a lot of sci-fi, so we wanted an OLED for the true darks. But our living space is very bright, and I'd read that OLED's weren't always up to the task in bright ambient light. I read a /lot/ of reviews, and the S95B kept popping up so I took the chance. I'm not disappointed. No problems at all in day or night, with brightness or contrast, and the colors seem great (to me). The upscaling of lower res signals is nicely handled too. Really happy with this purchase.

Very beautiful yet unnatural picture!!!
|Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First and foremost, this is a bright tv. My previous/current Samsung was a 2018 Q8FN and I thought it was bright as heck, but this S95B makes it look dim and dull relatively speaking. Samsung still continues to excel in 3d depth when it comes to top tier sets. The colors are very bright and colorful. The picture is sharp out the box in comparison to Sony which leans to a more soft picture. But this tv is overly bright and as a result, highlights clip, some dark scenes seem like day time and/or even washed out. I noticed this washed out effect more so in game mode than movie/filmmaker mode. It also appears the brightness in the picture takes away from the contrast of the picture, but this doesn't ruin the 3d depth of the picture. Unlike the dimness of my Sony A9G which lack 3d depth due to the dimness. The Sony can get sharper and more detailed, but a lot of that is lost due to the dimness. I do wonder what the A95k offers, but imo Sony doesn't offer the 3d depth that Sansungs offer....no matter the brightness of a Sony. But this picture is absolutely beautiful and offers the oversarurated articial look Samsungs are famous for....for better or worst. I will say in game mode at least, some games looks oversaturated to a point of being an eye soar or blacks appear lifted. Not sure what that is about. I feel this tv is inconsistent when it comes to picture delivery compared to my Q8fn. But this is also plagues my Q90A. It probably the new firmware set. Keep in mind my Q8fn has not been updated and my S95b isn't updated either. I don't trust Samsung updates. I turnoff auto update on my q8fn before Samsung was able to nerf my game mode. And not updating the S95b to prevent them from nerfing this TVs brigntess. Currently on firmware 1310. My Sony A9G is definitely dimmer than my Q8fn, so the fact that the S95b easily beats my Q8fn made my jaw drop. Does that mean the picture is better? It depends as this tvs picture is crazy bright and just overall beauitful. Still getting use to the brightness!!! And for less than $1,200....sheesh!!!!

Samsung - 55” Class S95B OLED 4K Smart Tizen TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung S95B is an excellent TV. As an OLED, it has excellent color accuracy, and the colors are vibrant and deep. The sound is very good, and I do not think it requires a soundbar. The TV is excellent for gaming. The TV is brighter than most OLED TVs and can go in any type of room (regardless of whether it is dark or light), but the colors really 'shine' in a darker environment.

QD OLED!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far one of the best oled tv out there right now.QDot gives it a rich color.Gaming for next gen makes the game looks amaizing plus dat 120fps with HDR 10plus. Home menu is a bit buggy sometimes due to all the extra apps and promos, think can be fix a future update to remove extra apps. Look for bent panels, seen pictures few panels when set up being bent keep an eye getting one for this.Mines came in fine, besides that has Dolby Atmos good base. But besides that amaizing TV dnt regret the purchase.

First OLED
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely loving this T.V. As a gamer I got it to go with my Series X. 120hz runs extremely clean. Colors are insane in HDR. Definitely an outstanding Gamer TV. And as for movies... let's just say it truly doesn't disappoint! I have the Q80 65" that I've been using, which is a great TV. This OLED definitely makes game's pop and look amazing! Love it!

Amazing TV if you love watching HDR content
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really love this TV, it is the best out there on the market for QD-OLED currently. Owned it for a year, had no issues. Pros: * The colors are amazing * Brightness and contrast are perfect. Bright enough to watch in well natural lighting area, even when sun is directly on the screen. * Perfect view angles, can see clearly for any direction * Can easily pair with Samsung sound bars and combine TV speakers with the soundbar for extra acoustics * Very good price for what you get compared to other products Cons: * The OS it uses is not the same as some other Samsung TVs, and it's not default android. Meaning you have less apps support, for example doesn't support Steam remote play app. * The UI snappiness is mediocre, I have had 7 series 7100 type TV that was budget and its UI was slow. This one is slightly better than my old TV, but still I expected it to be much snappier. * VERY fragile, in fact you have to be VERY careful when you lift it out of the box. The screen is super thin, which is good for size of it but you have to be extra careful with it for that reason. I would suggest keeping the original packaging if space allows if you plan to ever move and keep the TV with you as without the box it will get damaged easily.

Extremely nice television
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful picture, easy set up and I like the stand. It works perfect with the Samsung sound bar. If I had any complaint the remote volume control is a poor design. Otherwise this TV rocks. The access to HDMI is good on the side, but you can't fit a Roku stick on the bottom HDMI ports. The eARC works great with the sound bar also.

Samsung s95b
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture for movies or gaming is the best in the price range. The HDR, colors, input lag, and so on are fantastic. The down side only is the operating system is not great. Samsung need to bite the bullet and upgrade the OS. Sound of the S95b is good and even better with the designed sound bar.

Pricey - but beautiful
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This OLED TV is bright and beautiful. We really like the Tizen smart system for watching all the free channels it offers and our streaming services. This allowed us to ditch our Roku stick. Connection and setup were seemless and easy. We have it hooked to a soundbar so we have not heard the TV speakers. There are only two downsides - price and the remote. Our previous LED TV was a Samsung that lasted 13+ years, so we decided to stick with the brand although there were other OLED options that have good reviews that are $300 or more less. The remote is very small and takes some getting used to as it has very limited navigation buttons. These are the reasons we would give it 4.5 stars if we could, but overall, we are satisfied

Wow! Believe the hype
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this tv a couple of days now. All I can say is....wow, the hype is legit. Coming from an LED tv (Samsung Q900) to this, the black levels and contrast on the S95B are insane. Even the colors seem to pop more than I saw on the Q900. I've been hesitant to get an OLED due to brightness levels and burn in concerns, but this tv seems to address that. In SDR content, it looks slightly better than my old tv, but in HDR content and gaming, it's stunning. Definitely gets bright enough that you won't miss an LED tv. Sound is suprisingly good, has decent bass. My advice, if you're on the fence about getting one, check your local Best Buy to see if they have one and view it in person. That's what I did before making the purchase. Pictures and videos don't really do it justice.

Best OLED I've owned so far!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung S95B OLED TV has done nothing short of impressing myself and everyone who's had the pleasure of watching it. It is significantly brighter and more vivid than my competing brand's OLED TV. One thing I wasn't expecting to be surprised by was the built-in speakers. They're actually very good for TV speakers! Although you could make do with them, I use a sound bar which brings me to my next compliment - the TV stands higher and clears my sound bar so I no longer have to deal with parts being cut off by the sound bar. This TV is a winner. Another honorable mention: VRR works great on my PS5.

Love this!!! :)
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this TV! :) I am using this TV as a monitor for a PC. Such a great upgrade over the Predator X34 that I used to have. The S95B nets one with the brightness benefits of LED (1500 nits on a 1% window, 1000 nits on a 10% and 216 nits full screen) combined with the perfect black levels of OLED. The QD-OLED technology has no light absorbing color filter (unlike traditional OLED), no white pixel to wash out color (unlike traditional OLED), utilizing quantum dots instead (like LED). Utilizing this at 4k 120hz with Gsync enabled on games on a 3080 12gb gpu. So much fun! :)

Amazing quality.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A bit expensive for the oled market, however if you can get a deal on this, AMAZING picture quality and clarity. Just make sure you calibrate it with the phone or pc for the full HDR effect. Also make sure you get a good hdmi 2.1 cable and enhance the signal output in the tv settings for the full effect. Speakers are a bit lackluster but if you are spending this much on a TV you might as well get the whole home theater setup. I have a simple 2.1 sound setup from klipsch and it pairs perfectly for my studio apartment.

Remote sucks
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i really enjoy watching this tv. it has great clarity, color and sound. i'd give it 5 stars but I hate the remote. I know most tech people think fewer buttons the better but this remote is ridiculous. It's a hassle trying to remember which button is for which menu. To me it is not user friendly. I spend way too much time trying to find what I'm looking for. Nor does it come with enough apps.

Amazing TV
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No reason to look at anything else right now unless you need a budget TV or a different size. This is the one to get. It has great brightness and color gamut/saturation like the QD-LED models while having the perfect blacks and contrast of OLEDs. Also has all the gaming features needed for PC or consoles. Basically a best of all worlds TV, other than the clunky Tyzen interface and lack of Dolby Vision support. The Sony A95K might give it a fight when it gets released, but will also be more expensive.

Incredible picture quality!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model was Consumer Reports top pick in its class, and they were absolutely right! We use a flat antenna for local broadcast channels and a wired ethernet connection for streaming--very easy hookup. The Apple TV app is included, replacing our Apple TV box, and all streaming subscriptions/settings transferred over seamlessly. Easy to navigate and sound is great as well. The remote charges with ambient light, which is a really convenient feature (though I purchased a backup charging cable as well). Very highly recommend!
