    The TV is fine but the Samsung Smart Hub won’t load. Therefore, the TV is not smart

    Frame TV turns on randomly

    Worthless Frame TV, I just keep it off now and use it like a regular TV. Frame TV randomly comes on at 2 I. The morning and other times. Startles the daylights out of you. Samsung must not be testing there products and rely on customers to do there testing. I have read hundreds of blogs, reset the TV, running current updates. Tried turning off anything that can remotely turn this thing on when in frame mode with no luck. This TV cost 3x more than any other in this size. When it works in frame more, it was worth it, but only lasted about a month. Everytime you reset the TV, you have to reload apps and passwords. Way too much personal time dealing with new untested technology.

      It’s unfortunate to hear your Frame TV is turning on by itself. Please try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue:
      1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds.
      2. Check the power cord to see if there is any visible damage.
      3. Plug the TV power cord back into the wall outlet. If you were using a surge protector, bypass it for now and use a wall outlet.
      4. Try to update the software. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.
      5. Disable the Power On with Mobile option. TVs that can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Menu > Settings > All Settings > Connection > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off.

    Buyer beware

    Tv looks nice, however only works with Samsung receiver box. Can’t even run power to the TV, it has to go through the box. Doesn’t work for my install where it’s going over a fireplace with no console below. All the wires are in the wall with no place for this massive box. Fortunately I realized before mounting. So this is going back to Best Buy tomorrow. Which is to bad BC we liked the Art feature.

    Very disappointed with this tv. Not only is it glitchy, but I’d actually go so far as to call the picture quality poor. Bought it to replace a 15 year old Samsung that was starting to have speaker issues. If it wasn’t so much trouble, I’d reinstall the old tv and buy a sound bar. My old Samsung is light years better. Lots of regrets.

      Thank you for your review. For optimal performance, we ask that you please ensure you've got the latest firmware version installed on your Frame TV. You can check this by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

      You may also want to further optimize performance with the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees up unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care

      If the image you’re seeing isn’t to your liking, there are several picture settings you may want to adjust.

      Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
      ...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
      1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
      2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
      3. Eco: Provided to save energy
      4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
      5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

      You can also fine-tune your picture with expert settings such as brightness, contrast, sharpness and more (All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings).

    Loved the TV, however after the first week, the sound stopped working. Called Samsung, they ran a few different tests and determined it was toast. Best Buy was great and offered to swap it out for a new one, however there's a two-week lead time. Giving it another try but skeptical.

    Samsung Frame TV - Sorry I bought it

    I bought an expensive, in my opinion, Samsung Frame TV, and then paid $200 to have technicians come out and connect my TV and make sure all the apps were working, etc. They were very helpful, but even they couldn’t connect to Samsung and I don’t blame them for that, it is a problem from Samsung’s end. Now I can’t get YouTube TV, which is my provider. The techs thought it was a temporary problem at Samsung and would resolve quickly. I tried repeatedly all day today to connect with no success and now I see in online forums that it is a frequent problem with Samsung TVs. I love the look of the Frame TV, but I’m afraid I’ll have to be returning it. Very frustrated!
