Unfortunately not recommended
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Frame is an impressive bit of hardware, but I can’t recommend it, due to fatal flaws of the software and the remote. Hardware: The frame may not have the latest screen technology; even so I think it looks great, as a TV and for displaying artwork. If it were just a matter of the hardware, I would give this product 5 stars. Software: Such poor quality that it’s a dealbreaker. Responsiveness is unacceptably inconsistent, varying from perfect to so slow that sometimes I think the remote didn’t register my button press, so I repeat what I did a few times, only for the software to catch up and execute all the button presses I had made, of course all kinds of incorrect actions. Furthermore, two streaming apps stopped working altogether. The app troubleshooting section in the (awful) “e-manual’ basically says to go to the website of problematic app to figure out the problem. Samsung online support does provide 3 troubleshooting methods to try, but they didn’t work (one method sys to remove and re-install the failed app, but you can’t uninstall built-in apps!). Finally, in desperation I did a complete system reset. This worked, but I had to re-do all setup, including re-installing apps, and going through the painful process of re-entering all app logins & passwords, including having to go to the streaming app websites to apply verification codes, etc. And I have every reason to expect that the apps will repeatedly fail again, and I’ll have to repeated system resets, and repeated re-installs of everything. The software quality is simply unacceptable. Remote: Such poor design that it’s a dealbreaker. I love the concept of the minimalist design, but the actual implementation is a disaster. First, the remote buttons do not have backlighting, which means that in a darkened room, you can’t see the buttons and invariably press the wrong button when you try to do anything, with all kinds of undesirable results, such as taking you out of whatever you were watching. Second, of the limited real estate on the remote, two of the tops ones serve no useful purpose, and the channel selector only works if you’re using the built-in Samsung TV app, which is not what anyone is likely going to use for their primary live TV viewing. Third, the instructions on the (awful) remote user manual are significantly inadequate, and what few instructions are provided are incorrect. For example, if you want to move around while watching a show (FF, rewind, etc.) the only way to figure out how to do that is by trial and error. Each of the few buttons on the remote seem to perform multiple functions, based on context of what you’re doing. IMO this is an great minimalist concept, BUT almost none of these functions is documented! There’s probably all kinds of useful features I’m missing out of enjoying, because I have no way of knowing they exist. The remote functionality is simply unacceptable. User manuals: I won’t call this category a dealbreaker, but the manuals are awful. I’ve already noted how bad the remote manual is. The two-page(!) “User Manual” is useless. The “e-manual”, which is really the user manual, does have useful information, but much of the information is incomplete and/or incorrect. I still have no idea whether my particular TV model supports PIP (yes, I know, the only way to do it is to use different inputs, but does my model support this or not?) I’ll have to use trial and error to figure it out, but so far I’ve had bigger fish to fry. Bottom line: I love the hardware, but software and remote compromise the product to such an extent that I can’t recommend the Frame TV.

samsung 55" frame
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.55" frame is nice, use it to show pictures, for my mother. it will take 3 minutes to rotate to next picture, which is to long for me. not really a picture frame. it is a nice tv, a little hard to set up, will take some time, watch the videos on how to set up. my mom likes to see pics, so worth it

Must mount this tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this TV but if you don’t plan on mounting this type of tv in particular than it will look like your average TV. Mounting it flush on the wall will give you that Frame look. If it sits on something it will look like an average tv. But overall love the sleek look. And the Geek Squad service was awesome as always!!

Beautiful and sleek
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s sleek, beautiful, and just looks amazing. The sensor detects when we are going to bed and it turns itself off. When we wake up, we get a beautiful work of art on our wall. Until it’s time to party and turn up the TV with some Netflix or video games.

Almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love everything except the smartTV interface which is clunky. At least it’s not android TV. While Samsung has an expensive subscription for art, there are plenty of free images of all famous artwork to be found on the interwebs.

Art Mode is Neat!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always thought these tvs were a gimmick, but having one and experimenting with it it's extremely impressive and doesn't look like a slideshow on a t.v. The Art Mode really is neat!

The Frame
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this product because of the Frame as I can change it match by decor. it looks more like an ART work than a TV. This was my main reason for buying it. I wish the picture quality was sharper, I would have paid more for it if it was.

Posted .Hi Frame,
Thank you for choosing The Frame TV and for sharing your feedback regarding your picture quality. To sharpen your TV's image, you may want to adjust the sharpness setting by going to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Sharpness. To ensure that your TV’s picture is optimized, be sure that you are always running the latest firmware update. You can check this by going to Settings > Support > Software Update or you can enable Auto Update for convenience.
Intelligent Mode also enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Adaptive Picture, which is among the options, optimizes brightness and provides the best picture quality in real time, based on the lighting condition and the content you're viewing.
I hope you can use these adjustment recommendations to set the image to your liking.
