Great decor... Framed Art first, TV second.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung's The Frame may not be the best picture on the market, but it's definitely up there. But their size/thinness, matte screen and painting library make them great for wall art, that doubles as an extra TV for the house.

Really nice Frame
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its expensive but they had a great sale at the time so we pulled the trigger. We bought an outside frame that looks like a real picture frame and after hanging it next to our other art work it fools most people. Most people figure it out but it takes them a bit because they are looking for a tv. Hiding the control box requires a bit of thought, either in the wall, concealed behind something 10ish feet away or directly below on a shelf. It is a lot heavier than we expected.

Says what it does, does what it says
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really like this TV, great picture, looks awesome on the wall when on or off. Some reflections in bright rooms and at night the brightness of the tv reminds you its not actually art. The user interface could be better, I can never really get the slide show to work correctly. Bad reviews about wall mounting are very blown out of proportion, it took about an hour but I didn't have an issue. If you look around you can find lots of art for free if you don't want to pay for the subscription.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Original installation was not successful. Product specs and installation guide not clear. Second installation effort from Geek Squad was successful, with install tech Damian doing a great job of working with poor documentation and installation instructions. Other than that, product looks nice and good quality.

Everything we wanted.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good picture quality, easy to use, mounts flat on the wall and looks great there. The built in speakers aren't superb, but we really bought it fro the low on-wall profile. Love the art mode. The only knock on this was that it's not so easy to add your own photos. My wife loves the "one connect" box and the thin wire connecting the device with the box.

Great TV and worth the Price!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love this TV! I recommend it. One thing I was not aware of before we bought it was that this TV does not come with a frame. So, make sure if you want one to buy that separately. The picture quality on this TV is amazing. The sound is great and it’s very easy to use and set up. Also, this TV comes with a wall mount so do not buy one.

Great Centerpiece for Living Room
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful picture on TV and the frame artwork is very beautiful as well. When not being used, the artwork on the frame looks like another painting in the room. I would recommend this TV, especially if you want a nice centerpiece .

TV is Great, App to control features is terrible.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So the TV is amazing. Looks cool, love the frame effect, picture is good, looks like a frame on the wall.. HOWEVER, the app is terrible. Crashes, not many features that should be simple to implement. App is the only reason I am giving 3 stars

Posted .Hi Andrew,
Thank you for purchasing The Frame TV and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the issues you are experiencing with your SmartThings app. If your TV status is stuck in a particular state or does not respond to an action in your SmartThings app, you might want to try the following steps:

2) Refresh the device using the SmartThings app. From the Devices tab, swipe down to refresh the device list.
3) Delete and re-add the device on the SmartThings app.
I hope this helps. For further assistance, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week.

ART - Adds class to what is usually an eyesore
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I LOVE my Samsung Frame TV. I love it so much that I have 3 of them. I have a 65" for my Living Room, a 55" in my den & another 55" in my bedroom! The picture is amazing and I love that I can change the color of the frame so it looks light a painting on the wall instead of a television! Seeing a TV on the wall can look like an eyesore! I get so many compliments on the "Painting" on my wall. I've been asked, "How do you backlight your painting?" They had no idea it was a television!! I think it elevates the look of the room and looks classy! I just wish the interchangeable frames came in more colors and were priced a bit lower.,

Very good, but not great
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the TV works pretty great, I think with a few detail fixes this would be five stars for everyone - You should be able to choose one of the frame options when you order. No one wants black. It's expensive enough, you should at least get something you like at order time. - Free Art - subscription model isn't going anywhere, or at least expand the free options. - Matte Options - not as robust as I thought they would be, there are a few standard options but none of them are great - Adding your own photos - limited layout options, needs to be more customizable - Wall Mount screws strip SO easily, I had to go out and buy different screws for the studs, the ones they give you won't drive in without stripping

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pluses... Auto room brightness, motion sensor for art mode, art app worth the money Negatives... the app sucks. You will almost surely need to use a USB stick to add your own pics. Totally recommended!!

Smart TV / Dumb Digital Photo Frame
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using Personal artwork requires using a USB to upload pictures to the TV or uploading to your Samsung account and logging into the account on the TV. Using a USB, all of the photos that I tried to upload were larger than 4k and the TV could not resize the images and use them. That is a suprise as other TVs I have used have not had a problem resizing photos. One thing that seems to be missing is the capability to schedule artwork. For example if you want nature photos between 6am and 9am, and family photos between 9am and 3pm, and sunset photos between 3pm and 9pm, and Web Space Telescope pictures between 9pm and 6am, then you will not find that feature on this device. That is why the 3 star review; the Frame is just a regular digital photo device with the most basic of shuffling and scheduling features. These to lack of features are the reason for the review title "Dumb Digital Photo Frame". The flush wall mount is not really flush like shown in the marketing pictures. The 43" has a much better wall mount, and is nearly flush. The 55" does have a gap and it is about the same space a painting or flat back picture would be. My sits about 1/2" away from the wall at the top and is nearly flush at the bottom. I did not use the included foam spacers on the bottom of the TV, otherwise it would have the 1/2" space at the bottom also. The frame around the edge of the TV is about 3/16" further away from the wall than the actual back of the TV, so the edge of the units (both 43" and 55") can never really be flush with the wall, as you would expect with a metal frame picture with a hallow back. Adding the Samsung custom frame pieces do not close this gap. The cable is poorly sized at only 5M long (<16'). It should either be 1.5M or 15M long. The 5M length make a mess of wires if the control box is below the TV, and the 5M length is not long enough to make it up the wall to the attic and back down to an adjacent room to put the control box out of sight. The control box has the USB connection, so don't plan on putting that in the attic, however using a USB extension cable I did not try. The 15M cable is available from Samsung and is another $300. The "invisible" cables are not compatible between all Samsung TVs. It would have been preferred if the TVs were $100 less and you had to buy a separate cable for $100, that way you could get the cable you required. We also have the 43" 2022 model hung in portrait mode; when in portrait mode Amazon Prime does not work, nor do any of the other apps that do not allow for resizing of the display. That was a suprise.

Great Concept
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When your expectations are in line with the intent of this TV, you will be greatly satisfied. It is a good TV that also serves as a piece of art. If you are expecting top of line picture quality and technology for the price point, you are going to be disappointed like a lot of the reviewers because that is not the intent of this TV. Install was a bit intimidating at first because there are two separate pieces to the wall mount. However, I found the paper template extremely helpful. It was actually pretty accurate; only required slight adjustments to the wall plates as they were being installed to get them level.
