Budget TV is meh.

This tv had backlighting from the top and bottom so the middle of thr screen is often duller than near the top or bottom edges. Its probably best to use a Firestick, Roku, Nvidia Shield or Apple device rather than the “smart” application that comes with this model. You’ll also have to make a Samsung account if you use the internal smart function. The smart tv function is clunky and much slower than other devices you can hook through the hdmi ports. Overall, again, for the price its “ok” to “meh”. I should’ve just spent another $200-$300 to go up a model to get a more vibrant picture that doesn’t have a jittering effect when things move on the screen quickly. This tv is definitely a low end budget tv and its certainly better thsn my old 50” Sharp 1080p tv but thats not saying much. Save a little more to go up a model.

NOT WORTH WITHOUT PROTECTION

Samsung needs to do better.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV and for your review. If your TV appears to turn off by itself, try disabling some of the TV's energy efficiency functions.
See if Sleep Timer has been enabled. The Sleep Timer automatically turns the TV off after a specific period of time. Go to: Settings > General > System Manager > Time > Sleep Timer
If the Sleep Timer has not been enabled, see if Auto Power Off or Off Timer has been enabled and disable it.
- Settings > General > Eco Solution > Auto Power Off
- Settings > General > System Manager > Time > Off Timer
Also, please be sure you have the latest firmware update. (1420.0 released on 1/5/21)

Odd size tv!

I am sorry that you are experiencing lag when navigating through your menu. Have you tried Device Care option?
Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care.
This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.
There are several settings you can adjust to your liking such as Picture Mode and Expert Settings. Please see this article for a detailed description:
