    Disposable landfill-bound piece of junk

    TV died after 3 years (using it no more than 2 hours weekly on a temperature and humidity controlled room and connected to a surge protector, a single HDMI source). Not only is this disappointing that Samsung makes such junk, but in these days of consciousness about the well-being of our planet, making disposable landfill-bound devices that take so much energy and emissions to produce and rely on rare earth minerals mining -that’s a crime against humanity. I’m Sick of disposable junk. Best Buy should also put their foot down to tell brands to do better or they are out. Now I’m stuck with a Samsung soundbar that can talk to Samsung TV but I don’t want to give Samsung another chance

    The quality of the picture does not compare well to my other, more expensive televisions in my house which I guess is to be expected. It's in my bedroom where it will get limited viewing so I'm OK with the limitations. If it's going to be your main television AND you can afford to spend more I would recommend paying a bit more for quality.

    We have had this tv for two years and it suddenly stopped working. The sound flickers on and off and we are left with a blue screen. We have never had a tv fail this quickly. Samsung said it is an interal error and not worth fixing!

    Bought two of these at same time. One lasted two years, the other lasted 3. Dont k ow if I’ll be buying Samsung TVs anymore, which is a shame because I’ve been buying their TVs exclusively for decades. But this is just unacceptable.

    Died in Less Than Two Years

    I loved this TV....until I didn't. I had it a little less than two years when it just conked out one day. Searching the internet showed many people with the same issue (powering on/off repeatedly with black/gray screen). Obviously not covered under warranty anymore, because companies only cover their TVs for one year which is ridiculous. I remember the days when companies stood behind what they made, and stores stood behind what they sold (without charging extra). I won't buy a Samsung again. I guess with any electronics purchase these days it's like buying a lottery ticket. You just hope you're a winner and get more than two years out of it. Not a good way to run businesses, unless you're a stockholder I guess.

      We are very sorry about your experience with your Samsung TU7000 powering cycling and having a black/gray screen. Samsung prides itself on high-quality products and a great customer experience. Please know we are here to help you.

      If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue:

      1. Press the Home button on the remote.

      If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal. If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues.

      Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In everyday use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power).

      2. Confirm the TV is set to the same source as the external device.

      For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1.
      If the TV is set to the correct source but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced. After reconnecting the external device, please turn it off and back on.

      3. Test the HDMI cable.

      Some TVs have an HDMI cable test. Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not have it. If your model does not have this test or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step.
      The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on longer cords.

      To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test.

      If the test says, the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required.

      4. Test different external devices.

      The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting to a different device or using a different source port. If you could not test the cable in the previous step, try swapping the cable, too.

      If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it.

    Tv was good while it lasted, but didn’t last long 3 years later shopping for a new tv…all of a sudden the tv flicked off and would just flash a blue & black screen. Remote wouldn’t even turn it off or on tried to reboot but nothing

    2 years of use and black screen of death

    2 years after purchase tv is stuck in a power on/off cycle. You can hear the tv turn on, and youll see it flash from black to a dark grey and then it makes it little sound again and turns off. We've done all the tricks, unplug for 30 secs, check the power cord, try to reset it back to factory settings with button combinations (because you can see anything on the screen ever). Even left it on for to see if itd work itself out. Then left it unplugged for days and came back to try it again. No use. We use the built in smart function so no sources are plugged in. I would not recommend this model.

    My purchase was made online with curbside pickup, which was very simple. The TV was light and easy to set up. Directions were easy to understand and everything went smoothly. I just don't know why the screen is expanded, but I'll get it adjusted for my better viewing pleasure.
