I bought this TV in late 2020. It’s now early 2023 and the TV is already toast. It doesn’t work after a mere 27 months of life. Stopped working and can no longer turn on, just constantly reboots itself. I contacted Samsung customer service, they referred me to a certified TV repair service. It will be more to repair the TV than I originally spent to buy, so they said it’s shot and throw it away. This thing is junk already and I’m so frustrated at Samsung’s product quality. I’m boycotting all Samsung products moving forward. Do not buy this TV!

The apps were slow to the point I had to add a Firestick shortly after buying this. Within a few years, there were already lines at the bottom of the screen.

This television was a quick set! As I scrolled through the many features I was definitely impressed. Voice controls, ambiant settings, etc. Whether watching movies or gaming, this television has it all. Did I mention the remote? You can do everything from this smart remote. I am truly impressed! Samsung did not disappoint!

      Hi Tony,

Thank you for your purchase and review of the TU7000 TV. We are sorry to hear that your TV is cycling on and off. Please try these troubleshooting steps to address the issue.

      1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds.
      2. Check the power cord to see if there is any visible damage.
      3. Plug the TV power cord back into the wall outlet. If you were using a surge protector, bypass it for now and use a wall outlet.
      4. Try to update the software. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes, depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.
      5. Test the HDMI cable. To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test.
If the test says, the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required.

The TV will need service if the issue persists after these steps. Please get in touch with us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you towards a solution or replacement. You can contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

      Hi ScottB,

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV. I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing a power cycling issue where your TV turns on and off repeatedly.

Please try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue:

      1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection.

      2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it), or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable.

      3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.

      4) If the power cycling allows enough time between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes, depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.

If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will likely need service. Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you with a solution or replacement. You can call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

Breaking down within 1.5 to 2 years ownership?

    Posted .

Very strange that the recent low ratings coincide with similar issues that I am also experiencing. I bought this model back in August of 2020 and my TV is no longer working. I get that you get what you pay for but there's no reason a TV should break down so easily. I did all the possible troubleshoots available such as unplugging the tv and holding down the power button for 30 seconds. The red LED does show that it is on and when I tap the screen there is feedback. It sounds like there is a common defect as many others experienced the same issues. All I know is that I will not be getting the same TV. I am still a fan of Samsung but very disappointed with this purchase.

Do NOT buy this TV. This TV is less than 3 years old and has died to the same issue twice, a faulty board that causes the display to be stuck in a booting loot. Samsung will do nothing to help if it is outside of warranty.
