Our previous Samsung 55 inch had a lighted remote. Sad that a high quality tv deserved such low end remote. I purchased an aftermarket remote online that was compatible with Samsung that was backlit & larger buttons for under $10.00. Put batteries in it and ready to use...no pairing or anything

It has a decent array of built in apps and works well with my Apple TV. The picture quality is superior to anything I have owned in the past and with 4K content looks life-like.
