Softward glitches ruin the overall experience

The picture quality was fantastic right out the box and the sound from the TV speakers was more than adequate. Shortly thereafter, the troubles became clear. Even after the firmware updates, this TV won't download any new apps. No matter what I try, including a hard reset, it just won't happen. To make matters worse, when I try to select "optical cable" as my source for external sound through a soundbar it produces a loud mechanial wrirring noise which is sickening. I've been trying to reach out to Samsung, all to no avail. I will try it out for a few more days and if I still don't get a response I will be returning this Tv

If you have an app that is freezing, not loading, or crashing, you can try cold booting your TV, updating your TV's software, deleting and downloading the app again, and a completing full reset of Smart Hub to correct the issue with the app.

To address the odd sound you are hearing, please make sure that the audio cable is connected to the correct audio output connector on the external device.
Run a Sound Test by going to :
