Good tv for a large room. Great picture, easy to use. The sound quality is usual for a flat screen. Some channels require the volume to be turned up to 50-60 and some less. I had to attach a Sound bar for good sound. I would recommend this tv for a large room.

TV is great, picture is clear, sound could be better. We will get a sound bar and solve that problem.

I am using Samsung - 58" Class - LED - NU7100 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR for couple of weeks now. Never faced any major issue. Sometimes it can not select netflix account when turned on, but I just need to turn off and then turn on the TV again.
If you look carefully you can notice blur, but I am guessing it is a normal issue for the TV of this price range.

Amazing TV For Price

Just recently purchased this TV and after the setup, I am absolutely in love with it. I used only my Xbox with my old TV and with plugging it in to this TV, I could immediately tell the difference. This was definently worth the money I spent. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to purchase it.

My son had a first generation Samsung true slim led 60” Tv and it finally gave out from the hdmi board so I bought him this one. The first thing he said was, oh nice it’s actually very slim body just like my old on. This thing is a beast. It is smart and the picture quality is pretty good considering it is an older model compared to the newest model out on the market. Can’t complain for the price and wouldn’t return if they offered me a newer one. Happy buyer.

Can't decide if I want to rate a 2 or a 3.
Good: Good sound and fast SmartTV features. Much better and cleaner that VIzio. Also, remote is good and easy to use as are the settings screen.
Bad: Have this 58" in a large family room, replaced a 50" Vizio. Very disappointed at initial picture quality. Had to research and change video settings just to be decent. It seems that each viewing source (TV antenna, FireTV, TV streaming) each required re-tweaking to get a good quality picture. I can see noticeable blurring and darkening in upper right and left corners and when viewing in a dark room with a dark scene in a movie, we noticed a faint while fuzzy ball of light in upper left. If you look for it, you can't stop seeing it. My son didn't notice until I told him. I played a 4K YouTube video and the image in upper left corner has blurring as well. Maybe a tv issue? Bottom-line, I am always tweaking this TV to get the picture right based on what is showing. Its driving my family crazy. This has a better picture than the 1080P Vizio, but only after my normal 2-3 minutes of picture settings.
The ugly: Side viewing is AWFUL! You enter the room by the wall that the TV is on. At a slight angle, the picture is all washed out and pathetic. As you move around the room the picture is only at its best when straight in front of it. Any off angle viewing and it will disappoint. Which is sad, because when hosting a party or watching a game, you want full viewing. I know you will lose some viewing quality from the side, but compared to the Vizio from the side, its night and day. Even my old Samsung DLP projection TV has a better side viewing.
Bottom-line, I am going to return this unit unless by some miracle I find the right post to tell me how to configure this thing and leave it alone. It would be decent TV for corner or dark basement for movies. But would not recommend for every day TV.

Since the local Best Buy store in Grafton, is closing, I decided to go in and see if they had any deals. I was looking for a larger tv, than my current 50 inch. This 58 inch was on sale , and it has all the bells and whistles I want and need. It is a 2160 p TV with HDR, to say the picture is spectacular, doesn't do it justice. I had friends over to watch the football game, and I swear, you could almost see the sweat beads. The sound is great and was very easy to set up the TV and the connect to my audio system

Went to Best Buy store and compared every tv on display. For the $500-1000 range it was the best value and picture I could find. Easy to use and good smart fuctions. Turns on and off very quick, nice refresh rate. Movies look super vivid. Highly recommended. There is a perfect spot for a soundbar underneath tv if you need extra sound.

I purchased this TV about a month ago and was thoroughly happy off the bat. I upgraded from a 40" Samsung 6300 series and love the difference the newer processor and HDR 10 make. I regularly play Xbox, and upgraded to the One X shortly after picking up this TV. For weeks I used it and everything was great. But one day it suddenly began turning off unexpectedly. All eco settings were off and it was on the latest firmware. I contacted Samsung and they told me to factory reset it and then update to the latest firmware (had already done that). They then asked me to try plugging it directly into the wall with no surge protector.. No luck. It was shutting off every 3-5 minutes and I couldn't even get through a full game of anything.
Strangely enough, I had a similar problem with my last Samsung TV. Every 5-30 minutes it would power off/on by itself, glitching through all of the frames that weren't shown while the panel was off. While trying to decide on what to do when my new one first went awry I did some research into the issue and found that many people have been having issues with Samsung TVs powering off (and sometimes back on) on their own, with some posts going all the way back to 2012 even.
Luckily, I get protection plans on practically everything I get – plus I was still within holiday return policy. Not wanting to compromise on picture quality I opted to simply exchange for another of the same model and stick with having a protection plan on it in case I run into another problem like that down the road.. This is a great TV, but I wouldn't dare not buy the protection for it after the experience I've had. Do yourself a favor and opt for the 5 year plan if you get this, it'll be much easier (and without repair costs) to bring it back to Best Buy if you have issues rather than having to deal with Samsung yourself.
TLDR: First one I got kept randomly powering off. Get the 5 year protection if you buy.

Got this for my Dad and he loves it. This is a solid choice at a unique size. Definitely looks larger than a 55" which many have (appears like a 60") but at a much better price point which makes it a very smart choice in the range. Never had a problem and you'll be sure to enjoy it. Samsung hub has plenty of apps and internet connectivity is seamless.

Not the sharpest or fastest refresh rate. But what it does have is value—-and tons of it!
Good quality overall, some quirks but can’t complain with the price. Budget tv without skimping on quality.

The tv picture looks good despite not having much actual 4k programming available. But since I stream I have access to various programs and they have an incredible picture. The sound is very good for two built in speakers. The remote is pretty easy to use and the tv took very little time to set up. The only issue is that I used my previous tv's hardware to hang this tv and only 2 of the 4 bolts fit. The bottom bolts need to be longer so keep that in mind before you start to hang it. But overall quite happy so far (1 week). The only reason it didn't get one star is that I knew more about the tv and it's capabilities than the person working in this department at the store. Yes, he knew the 2018 model would be better than the 2017 and that a larger tv would cost more. He had no idea as to the apps that were installed and other details that would be beneficial. And tv's were his department. But that aside, this is a great tv for the price and so far (knock on wood) I am happy with it. Hopefully that feeling won't change.

This TV replaced an 8 year old Samsung HD TV we had in the family room. We wanted 4K capability, a little larger screen, and the smart features (streaming internet channels; lots of them) that are built in. Change out was pretty easy considering it's wall mounted on a swivel system, and the universal remote we've been using for years did not need to be re-programmed because it's still a Samsung! Great picture!
