I have been using Samsung TV for long time and I upgraded to 58” model. Picture quality is great and 4K content looks sharp and clear. To the surprise the audio of this TV is loud enough. No issues with setup and the delivery was quick. Very happy with this purchase from Best Buy.

Disappointing purchase

I have other Samsung TV’s in my house that I love. This one has been an issue every time I turn it on. It disconnects from the internet daily and it’s not my connection. Everything else in my home, including 2 other TV’s that are far from the router work perfectly fine. This TV disconnects, logs me out of my apps, the volume will skip and the picture gets cloudy constantly. Not to mention, it’s impossible to navigate the Direct TV app. I would never recommend this TV. I am extremely disappointed with this purchase.

Thank you for sharing your experience with Internet connectivity. If you’re experiencing issues with the Wi-Fi connection, we suggest you try the following:
1. Use 5Ghz Wi-Fi if possible
2. Try wired LAN if available
3. Try repositioning the router, so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router
4. Try running a cold boot on your TV. To do so, hold down the Power button on the Samsung TV remote until the TV turns off and then on again. This should take about 5 seconds.
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
You can enable automatic updates for convenience.
Go to Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your TU690T TV. If the picture you are seeing out-of-the-box is not to your liking, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.
First, let's ensure your firmware is up to date. Please go to Settings> Support > Software Update. You can easily update your firmware from here.
Next, go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also go to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine-tune your image.

There are several sound settings you can adjust to suit your personal sound preferences. Change the Sound Mode by going to Settings > Sound > Sound Mode.
You can customize the sound with Expert Settings by going to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings.
