Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your TU690T TV. In addition to the several picture modes on your TV, you may also want to try adjusting additional picture settings if the picture you are seeing is not to your liking.
You can go to Home > Settings > Picture > Expert Settings and configure the TV settings to your taste with functions such as Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness, Color, Tint (G/R), and many more.

Relaxing evening TV room entertainment.

We especially like being able to pre-select an evening TV show and have it automatically switch to it.

How would I know....it worked for two weeks then died! I missed the NFL conference playoffs which is one reason I bought it. Best Buy said their return period was expired, fifteen days, yes, FIFTEEN DAYS! They left me to deal directly with Samsung. After numerous back and forth frustrations with Samsung and their repair contractor, my tv is still on the fritz. At this rate, looks like I'll miss the Superbowl too!!!! BBBB (Best Buy Buyer Beware).....no wonder everyone buys from Amazon. Unfortunately, I wasn't that smart!

WRONG BUY AT BEST BUY

I have two other Samsung TVs that are working just fine but they were purchased at different locations. I will never buy a product from Best Buy again.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this tv was a replacement for a tv Model: UN58TU7000FXZA that went out. luckily i had an extended warranty. how ever this is not the quality of the tv that went out. if i could i would return. i was on the phone for 3 hours doing to return. buy the time i was done i just let the tech pick this tv out. i just want the model tv i had in the first place. they told me it wasn't made anymore. now surprise it's on the site in my area.

Nice TV but......

Run away from this one!

TV will randomly go back to guide. It gets stuck in a loop and keeps repeating the same 3 second scene, over and over again. I have to go to a different station to stop it. Freeze ALL the time. I do not ever buy high end TV's, so I know what to expect from low end ones. Worse TV I've ever purchased.

OK in quiet environments or you can connect it to a sound system with optical cable or Bluetooth.Also no real operation manual.

If the sound is too low on your Samsung TV, I recommend checking the following settings:
1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume.
2) Adaptive Sound automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source. Go to Settings> Sound> Sound Mode> Adaptive Sound.
3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode
Also, some sources have their own volume control, which might be set too low. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again.
To access the user manual for the TU690T, you can download the User Manual and Remote Guide directly from Samsung’s website under ‘Support’ (top right corner) > Manuals & Software > TVs & Home Theater. From there, you can search for the TU690T under Crystal UHD TVs > T Model Lineup.

Nightmare purchase and install

So I do t know if i received a lemon .. or this tv has many issues , but I was and am pretty upset because on the day of redelivery and removal of defective tv , the tech left a voicemail saying he was sick and I’d have to reschedule , earliest 3 weeks from today , January 19!!! This is unacceptable

Issues in less than 2 years

When the power cord is connected it just flickers from the black screen to a blue/gray screen but will not even turn off.
