Bad and uneven cooking

You have to constantly turn up and turn down the cooktop, as well as rotate the pan to cook anything evenly However, the oven is awful for baking. Since the heating element is only on top, everything either burns on the top or is under done on the bottom. I have found that you have to preheat for a long time, and also cook the bottom on the cooktop first. The good thing is that it cleans easily. and the settings are easy to use.

We are totally sold on induction; right now I wouldn't even consider an alternative for a house with electric service. Only problem with this model is that the options knob takes some getting used to -- not very intuitive

Friends have has the same product delivered from other dealers in WAY less time. Will consider this in future major appliance buys.

Cook Top Regular Use Damage - No Warranty

My problem exists with Samsung Warranty Service. While cooking on the stove top, an approved pan stuck to the cooktop and glass pieces came off the top of the cooktop. Samsung maintained that their warranty would not cover "this kind of damage". Nothing was dropped on the cooktop and we did not do anything that would have caused the damage. The glass was literally chipped when we removed the pan. Samsung insisted that this was not covered damage, even though the cooktop clearly had an imperfection that resulted in the damage with standard use. The online Samsung technician was no help and denied to honor a warranty. Best Buy Total Tech said we had to go through Samsung, even though the unit was only 6 months old. Very Frustrating!

The induction heats water to the boil in seconds. It is very responsive. The oven is very accurate. On the down side the clock is difficult to program and the warming drawer/storage is a bit flimsy. I would not want to be opening it often.

Nothing to pick with the oven either. The only thing that we didn’t expect is that the smart things feature does not allow you to turn on the oven, despite the oven not being gas. But it is understandable, for safety I guess.
