So this is my first 4k TV so keep that in mind. I'm coming up on a year with it. I have to say that this is by far the best television that I have ever owned. It replace a 55" LG that I got back in 2011. At the time I thought that TV was thin but this one puts it to shame. The bezels are tiny as well which I love. And oh yeah the picture quality is outstanding. It will take a few minutes to set up and calibrate. I look up calibrations online and tweaked them to my liking. This is also my first smart TV. The app selection is decent. Anything is doesn't have I can get on my Xbox. From time to time I have trouble launching the HBO app but I just power cycle the TV and it's go to go. There isn't a ton of 4k content out at the moment but from what I have watched so far it looks amazing. Even 1080 content is a lot better on this as well. This is absolutely my favorite purchase of last year. Now I'm just waiting until next month to try out the Xbox One X and see how good 4K gaming is on it.

The Samsung KS8000 is probably one of the best 4K TVs with a good picture that's still affordable. The Samsung KS8000 has a lot of high end features, with a great picture and a sleek high end design to back it up.This display is really what makes HDR content impressive and really stick out over standard content. So for those who can't wait to get their hands on 4K HDR gaming, this TV is a must have if you really want to see a difference. The KS8000 also has amazing contrast and black levels, this helps tremendously with HDR and dark scenes in movies as it gives you a more realistic picture and accurate color display. The Samsung KS8000 is the best buy for a TV in this price range if you want to use it for multiple usage. Not a lot of other TVs can compete with its high picture quality, number of features and asking price. The KS8500 is almost identical, just with a curved screen and a little better with the black levels. If you want a curved screen, then it's still a great buy but other wise there's no true benefit of upgrading.

This TV is Amazing. The picture is flawless. I have no light bleed around the top or sides. 4K HDR video is like nothing I've seen. I upgraded from a 3 year old Samsung 60" and sit about 8' away and I can tell the difference when when watching 4K blue rays. The upscailing is ok but I wouldn't buy it unless you have a 4K player or plan to buy one. I highly recommend this. Very easy set up. The controller is great also it learned everything very quickly and correctly. I compared this to the 6000 or 6500 with HDR in store it completely blew it away. If your in the market for 4K HDR go with the 8000 or 8500.

Very impressed with 4K HDR. I have the Samsung Blu Ray Ultra HD HDR as well. I upgraded from a 10 year old big screen Sony. For me this was a good time to get in because 4K HDR is more prominent and the prices have come way down. Only bummer is now I am buying Ultra HD and Blue ray discs of my movie favorites that I have on DVD. I haven't watched enough DVDs to comment on the up converting. There is a big difference in my opinion, I prefer Blu Ray, Blu Ray Ultra. Do you need Blu Ray Ultra, probably no. I think you have to have a bit of Videophile in you to want Blu Ray Ultra/HDR.
I am also impressed with the Smart TV implementation. I have a 46" Samsung LCD that is about 6 yrs old and they were just getting started with Smart TV. Big difference. I also bought a Samsung Sound Bar (650 Series). Very pleased with the sound. This allowed me to get rid of all the extra speakers and amp that I had. Since all three main pieces, TV, BR player, Sound Bar are Samsung, all is integrated and functions nicely together. As with any technology there will be issues that arise. I noticed that the sound bar was not connected recently. And it took me about 15 mins to figure it out. I think my dog sitter or maybe my wife hit a wrong button. So I had to dig a little deeper to get it reconnected. One thing though is that with any technology there is a learning curve to be be proficient in using your system or troubleshooting issues when they arise. This is not your Grandma's TV set.
In terms of the buying experience at Best Buy, I am very satisfied. The gentleman was knowledgeable and very helpful. You have to be careful about certain recommendations in regards to cables and other accessories. There are differing opinions as to what is really needed. Best Buy was also kind enough to meet or beat competitor pricing from Amazon for everything. At the time the Blu Ray player was on sale on the Samsung website. I pointed that out and they met that as well. They recommended I open a BB Credit Account in order to have $300 in points I could use in the store. I was reluctant because I only keep one credit card. I was glad I did, it is nice having the points, which added to the overall value. Of course, I used some to buy those Ultra HD Blu Rays. I was able to pay the Best Buy credit card off in full, with no penalty, in less than 3 weeks after the account was opened. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase!

Oh where to start? I did research for months!!! And visited the store close to 30 times to see this TV in person and compared it to the Sony and Its counterpart but without HDR. Every time I went I loved this Samsung more & more, but I kept getting asked from the helpers there...oh you're not getting the Sony? So to finally put all confusion to rest I downloaded 1080P trailers of some movies like civil war to see the fast movement and colors, lights out to see the blacks & whites, and some animated movie to see what gaming would look like. I took the USB to Best Buy and by now everyone knows me by first name lol. The guys put in my USB and viola!! At that point there was not an ounce of concern left in my mind. I wanted to see how all the TV's upscaled these trailers and this Samsung UN65KSFXZA was hands down the best! I immediately brought it home and had it mounted. I'm still mesmerized every time I watch HD content. I can't wait to watch more 4K content on it but it's hard to find much of it still, which I knew. You won't regret this TV. Wish I would have gotten the bigger size!

I bought this TV upgrading from a 32 inch 720p Samsung and boy was I blown away. I had visited multiple friends houses before who have large 4K TVs but this is way better by far. For those who are on the fence about the HDR, it's worth it. The colors are rediculous. I didn't think I would really notice that much but now when I see their TVs everything looks so washed out. This TV is easy to set up and a really good buy if you are looking for something that will keep you amazed.

I'm a huge Samsung fan. I have their phone, tablet and television. I was in the market for a 4K tv and Samsung was the first manufacturer that I looked at. It was either this or an OLED tv. LG's OLED was a little out of my price range so I went with this for a few reasons. 1 - the design, 2 - HDR10, 3 - it's game mode which has almost the lowest lag of any 4K tv on the market, 4- the price and 5 - because it's Samsung.
If there's one thing that I can't praise this tv on is the viewing angels. Once you look at the tv from the side, the picture is not the best, I'd give it a 7, but directly in front of it is perfect. Great blacks, great vibrant colors, nice sound, excellent design!!

I only buy Samsung tvs, but this tv is the best Samsung I have ever owned. This is also the first led tv I ever owned that has 0 edge backlight bleed which im very happy with. This tv is not as good as the $5,000 oled, but its the closet thing to it for $3,000 cheaper. The black level is amazing especially in dark rooms. the colors are very bright and vibrant. I briefly tried streaming 4K HDR context through netflix and it looked great. The settings out of the box are pretty good, but i would recommend dialing it in yourself to improve upon the factory sets.

Ive been able to enjoy this TV for a couple weeks now and Im absolutely LOVING it. I originally purchased the Sony XBR-65X850, but ended up returning it due to a giant light bleed. Instead of just swapping it out I opted to wait and do a little more homework, and Im really glad I did.
For the casual TV watcher that enjoys great image quality I've found this set to be excellent. The local dimming and HDR allow for some incredibly vivid color and very deep blacks. Blu-Ray and 4k looks incredible, and the set does an excellent job at upscaling standard non HD tv content.
Note about wall mounting this panel: The back of this panel is curved and you are provided two standoff inserts for installation on a mount, but I found that two of my kits did not have long enough fasteners to accommodate the spacers. The installation manual recommends 43-45mm long while most kits seem to only have 40mm.

I just set this TV up today, and it's amazing! I upgraded my Netflix subscription to Ultra HD, and it looks fantastic. I love the One Connect because the only wires leading from the TV are the power cord and One Connect cord, since everything else plugs into the One Connect box. I'm happy that it has an optical output so I can finally use my sound system. The remote is very nice, but the only thing I'm having issues with is that I can only turn the TV on and off with the power button, but I don't know how to turn the cable box and sound system off when I'm done watching TV. I don't want to just leave them on all the time, and it's pointless having a "universal" remote, if I have to use another remote to turn the other stuff off. But I'll have to figure that out. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and the great sale I got!

We have enjoyed the new TV, voice controls, modern remote control, super thin and attractive, very easy to set up. Not too happy with Best Buy policy of opening the box and checking the screen before you leave the store. The associates did not know how to open the Samsung box, broke foam corner packing materials and left the box in poor condition to inspect the screen before we left the store. This service protects Best Buy but left me with all the risk of traveling with a now poorly packed large box with a very expensive TV. . This is not a practice that is in the best interest of the customer. Worked out okay, but would not purchase a large TV from Best Buy as long as the policy is in place.

I wanted to upgrade picture performance. I thought about OLED, but took another look at what quality image would be on the screen most of the time. 4K program material will definitely increase, but there isn't a whole lot now. This set has a great picture, fairly good sound (although I have added a sound bar), and came at a fairly reasonable price (for 4K). It is easy enough to set up, and the remote also controls cable box and sound bar. I also connected to a digital antenna and that works well too. I chose this set over comparably priced Sony and LG sets because, to me, the picture had a slight edge. In side by side comparison, with the same signal, the 9000 series is a slight bit better, but not worth the price difference and I'm not watching side by side at home, and presently 90% of the programming I watch is 1080. I'm happy with my decision.

This tv (65") has really added value to everything I throw at it. From my ps4 (non pro) Xbox one (non s) to my Nvidia shield. Blu rays even look better. Visit rtings website for better review and calibration settings. HDR looks great. My only complaint is in a real dark room when let's say words show up on the screen the panel lights up (back lighting) from top to bottom, even if the words are in the center of the display. During day in a bright room you don't notice this. As you wouldn't notice this at the store. But with how well it performs with everything else it's hard to say no to buy this. Also input lag is the lowest of any tv available, beats OLED (sorry lg would have chosen you over Samsung but that input lag is ridiculous) better than Sony and Vizio. Vizio comparable model had around 63ms vs 21ms Samsun ks8000. This is the gamers tv this year!

This TV is the best TV I have ever had. The quality is perfect, the design is flawless and the sound is decent for stock speakers. I do have to say that the motion blur is a little annoying but always turn off the setting that makes the "soap opera" effect and it gets fixed. So far, I am very pleased with my purchase!! Great value.

The best TV in this price range...I have the exact same TV but a 2014 and this one blows it away and for at least 1k less then in 2014!
Black levels are near perfect and I have seen some banding but only with HD or SD cable and not on all channels so I assume that it's the processing the TV has to perform to achieve a cleaner picture. Only picture with better blacks are OLED and I am waiting for the price to get lower and other companies in 2017 are planning on releasing OLED tvs as well. Competition fosters lower prices in the not so distant future!
The HDR 1000 with its 1000 nits of brightness brings your color and contrast to the next level and looks incredible. I see details that I have never seen before regardless of the input you are on.
SD looks like SD but with better range of color.
Reds are more realistic and the billion shades of colors are something you did not know you were missing until you buy this TV! Greens and yellows are just as real bright and truer in color to what the creator of whatever your watching intended.
4K streaming from Netflix and YouTube are simply jaw dropping amazing and the detail rivals that of more expensive TVS.
I have yet to get a 4k bluray player but I am sure I won't be disappointed.
Those were just a few of the pros...
Cons...little banding noted with certain source material and auto motion plus at times absolutely is terrible and one could get nauseous from all the juddering effects. I have comcast cable and only certain channels on cable do I notice this problem with auto motion plus.
I would have preferred they just used motion rate of 240 but it's really 120 with Samsung processing to achieve the equivalent of 240...so there have been times when I turned it off and had no issues with the content that looked terrible with the auto motion 240 on.
I just read that in 2017 Samsung is going with HDR 1500 and remember though the OLED has an amazing contrast ratio I would bet this TV is close if not second but how it comes to those levels of contrast is by 2 very different ways.
Remember some contrast is perceived by the viewer and an OLED tvs achieve a max of 600 nits of brightness and Samsung will double that at least in 2017.
So look at all the TVS you like at Best Buy and just pick the one you like the most and is in your price range and be happy with the compromise or pony up the funds and get the one that costs more and know that in a yr maybe 2 that tech will be old and possibly obsolete....these tvs with all the processing they apply are essentially computers of the TV world and the tech is constantly improving!
You will not be disappointed if you buy this TV!
