I was trying to decide between this and a 70 inch Vizio and I’m so glad I got this tv. The picture is absolutely amazing. I love being able to turn off Auto Motion Plus when not watching sports. I highly recommend this tv to anyone thinking about getting one.

We did a lot of research both online and in-store. In-store associates were very helpful and I did not feel pressured to just purchase an expensive TV. Once I understood the differences between 'regular' tvs and the new 4k tvs, it made sense to purchase the Samsung. The picture quality is consistent, crips and just plain amazing! We don't have many 4k channels but the few 4k programming we saw definitely looked different than the hd programming. The tv was easy to set-up. The remote is slim and easy to use and the 'smart' part of the tv was compatible with everything we use. Definitely a great buy!

I spent nearly a week reviewing televisions before deciding to purchase this one when I saw it on sale at my local Best Buy. RTINGS has some really good advice on which TV will meet your specific needs.
Good:
- The picture quality is amazing. This is used by the family for general watching of 1080p (HD) TV shows and movies. Even over the last 1080p TV my wife says she can see a tremendous difference.
- My PS4 looks amazing on this TV. If input lag is important to you turn on game mode. In game mode this TV has better response times than nearly every other TV on the market. It does lower the graphics a little, but oh well. Even outside of game mode I've found the latency is not bad enough to care and the graphics are even better.
- I really like the separate interface box that comes with this TV. Personally it allowed me to route my wires in a much more clean manor that I was previously not able to do.
- The smart applications are ok, there's not very many at the moment but the most important streaming services are there and I've not had a single bug with them so far.
- The TV seems to have a nice wifi adapter. To be honest I'm not sure what they have put in this TV, but the streaming is seamless. Most other devices I have to wait 10 seconds or so before it kicks into HD from SD but this TB starts in HD or 4K immediately. I know this is not a must for a TV, but it is definitely nice to have.
- This TV looks really nice. Before I even turn it on people comment on how sleek it looks.
Possible Improvements (Honestly there is nothing bad about this TV)
- The stand concerns me a little. It looks to be supporting the TV just fine, but the TV is so thin I get a little worried it could fall over. Small vibrations in the floor cause the TV to sway a little. This won't be a problem once I wall mount this TV.
- There is a current bug in the software where the back light settings don't change automatically between HDR and non-HDR video. You have to set them manually when changing between the two settings. It's not a big deal because even if you forget to change it the screen just looks a little darker than normal. I'm guessing they will patch this soon though.
- As soon as you buy this TV, and you should, go to RTINGS and look up their calibration settings. Not that the TV looked bad out of the box, but with a little tuning it can look even better. I wish companies would include something about this because most people don't even know that you should calibrate your TV to your room.

As I was looking to upgrade my TV I had narrowed my choice down to 2 different sets. Both the Sony and Samsung looked wonderful in the store but I finally decided to go with Samsung. The overall design being super thin makes this television beautiful. I am still amazed by the colors and black that the screen produces. Another amazing feature is how it has learned the other devices plugged into it. It is literally a plug and play system that learns your other remotes so that you really only need the one that came with it. This television will not disappoint.

Bought this for the living room of our new house and installed it over the fireplace. The setup was very easy and we were quickly enjoying vivid color and crisp details. This is every bit of the advertised quality. The remote was a little confusing at first, but is fairly intuitive. The brightness adjusts automatically, which is good because the room has a wall of windows and the screen needs to be quite bright during the day and softer at night, no manual adjustments needed. Sound quality is much better than the 3 year old Sharp Aquos in the other room.

This TV is extremely easy to set up. The Samsung interface works extremely well to set up your cable TV or Apple TV. The voice activated remote takes some getting used to, if you haven't used one before. I'm still learning how to use the voice activated remote control, and still have to revert to my old remote control for some features on Verizon Fios. Overall, I would rate this TV very very high for picture quality and technology.

Recently purchased this TV and I'm loving it. The setup for this TV is the easiest thing ever. I have my inputs connecting to the TV through 1 hdmi cable to the arc input. I change inputs through my AVR. When you first power up the TV it goes through the setup. It immediately connected to my AVR and also to the Directv receiver, which was the current input coming from the AVR. All functions of the directv box are available through the tiny TV remote. Now for the picture...it's AMAZING. It may be TOO clear when you first start watching. It seems almost like it's 3d that's how clear it is. Also the ease of use of the apps..like Netflix and YouTube is also a big plus. The only downside to the remote is that it does not completely control the AVR...only the volume. Changing inputs on the AVR must be done with the AVR remote. With this remote I have a universal harmony remote..but honestly don't see the need to use it as of yet.

Bought this TV for my birthday and LOVE it. The smart remote just has a few buttons, but it controls all the functions of my cable DVR (recording programs, changing channels, playing from the DVR, etc.) and learned all those functions in seconds - automatically. The Smart TV components - Netflix, Hulu, etc. are seamless as well. Take some time configuring the picture to your liking - there are several settings to configure. The TV upscales, but be warned if your input is low quality, the upscale can only do so much.

This TV is absolutely stunning. The sleek design is exactly what I was looking for. Sound quality is also on point. What I love the most about this tv is its simple universal remote. You no longer have to have a tv remote, and a DVD player remote, and you Apple TV remote to keep track of, because the Samsung remote will work for all of those devices!! It's incredibly convenient. If you are thinking about buying this tv stop thinking about it and just buy it, you won't regret it.

I know OLED has deeper blacks, but if you don't want to spend the cash on an OLED. Or if your like me and want OLED to mature a lot more, then this is a great TV for both Movies and Gaming. I have an Xbox One S and games look amazing on this TV, especially the HDR enabled games I have, Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4. Input lag is really good, a little higher with HDR enabled, but worth it for the picture quality.
This TV is a great price for what you get.

I have quite a few TV's that I have purchased over the past few years and this one is by far the best TV. It was very easy to setup, lightweight for handing purchases, and has a nice sleek look to it. The picture quality is phenomenal, but I was comparing to a 2 year old Vizio. The sound actually was pretty good prior to hooking up a sound bar. I looked around and read reviews on here, and am very happy I made this purchase.

This TV is remarkable the displays, colors are stunning, operation very intuiative. Physically the TV is very nice to look at with creative stands that are quite unique and very pleasant. I purchased the Samsung 3.1 sound bar and the sound is terrific; the sound is almost like surround sound. The versatility of the TV and the sound bar are great examples of Samsung products and engineering. I highly recommend this product.

Minimum Model for Samsung 4k

We purchased (and returned) the 6800 series and have been THRILLED with the 8000. The 1 billion colors (compare to the 16.7 million offered on the non UHD models) makes even SD content pop. Low quality shows from the 90's still take advantage of the superior color. 1080p content is fantastic and any 4k content is amazing.
You can spend more money if you are really serious about some of the features the higher units have, but once you get this TV home you really will fall in love.
Important to make sure you set UDH to "ON" for each source you add to the TV as it is defaulted to "OFF" and then you wont see the color capabilities. Very Important... you will find it under settings/picture/expert settings.
I like that the inputs are in a seperate device that is attached by a single cable. some may not like that as much when mounting, but we use it on the stand. The connection cable is long so it may allow you to set all of the connections in the wall or attic. I love the separate box though.
Wifi and Samsung Apps have been great. Plays well with DirecTV and XBox. I use a separate audio system so I cant speak much about the audio quality but love the minimalist design. Very small bevel.
And the feet have two options so if you have s smaller stand you can place them closer to center. That saved the day.
Think I am set for the next 5 years. Great product. Huge upgrade over my 240hz 1080p 55" Samsung that has lasted us 6 years and is now in our bedroom.
BestBuy was awesome during the exchange from the 6800 model.

I have been looking since last year to buy a larger tv. This TV just jumped out at me. I hung it on the wall and have made NO adjustments. It is PERFECT how it is!! I haven't had any sound issues or color or bleed thru isssues. I have owned it a little over 1 month. I haven't regretted my decision for even a second. Picture is amazing. Smart remote is fantastic and works with my Directv. Can't go wrong with this tv!!

This tv has a beautiful picture. I researched for several weeks and finally decided on this tv. Went down to the local Best Buy and checked it out in person. I was sold. The thin border is great, makes the tv look even bigger! Got home with it, plugged everything up to the smart hub, direct tv box, xbox 360 and my panasonic blue ray player and the tv saw everything I attached and it all just worked. My direct tv remote controls everything! Even my blue ray player! Not sure how the tv does that but it does. The only down fall that I have is, I can't connect my head phones to the tv like I could on my older 40inch Samsung. My wife works night shifts so during the day when I want to fire up the Xbox and play its kinda hard because I have to keep the volume down. Not a super big deal, just wished it had it though.
Another thing that I like is, this tv doesn't nearly put of the heat that my older LCD did. Trust me, that makes a difference in a room.
I upgraded my Netflix account so I could stream Super HD video and man is that awesome. I watched a few 4K videos and its crazy clear!
You won't be disappointed with this tv!

Easy to setup right out of the box. I really like the 'one connect' box so there aren't so many wires going to the TV or so you can change inputs without having to get behind the television. Blacks are awesome, you can't tell if the TV is on. even in the dark once it is set up right. I think I am most impressed however with the TV's full range sound. It's so thin, where is that bass coming from LOL!!!

I was contemplating HDR vs. Non-HDR and so very glad I paid the extra for HDR. The colors & contrast are incredibly vivid with this television. We have watched several movies with this set now and the picture is absolutely amazing and think that our in-person movie theatre visits will now dwindle.
