Summary: This is one of the best gaming TV's around. If you are a gamer, this is your TV. HDR is a feature that is very noticeable, and worth the great picture. Few minor quirks make the user experience less than perfect, but improvements over its competitors MORE than makes up for it. The Great: - One of the -absolute- best gaming TV's around. Clocking in at barely 1+ frame of input lag in Game Mode (19ms = 1.14 frames playing at 60FPS), this TV is in an elite class of very select TV's. Only the JS 7500 is better at 17ms (1.02 frames). There's quite literally only a handful of big TV's that fit this category. Samsung again hit the nail on the head here. If you are planning to play fighting games, FPS's or any sort of PC gaming on this, look no further. - Samsung OS. Samsung's latest operating system is cleaner and faster. Furthermore, it allows you to navigate ALL the menus while media is still playing. This allows you to tinker with picture and audio settings, app settings, etc without disrupting your movie/show. - HDR Display. Without going too into it, the hype does seem to have credibility. Undeniably a great picture. When calibrated correctly, it almost seems like you're watching through a window. And speaking of which... - Ultra thin bezel. This thing is very minimalistic, sleek and sexy. The bezel is mere milimeters all around the TV, and the two-piece TV stand are individually very small as well. I hate to use the buzzword, "immersion", but if the hype is to be believed, this gets really close to that level. The Okay: - Slightly wobbly stand. If you mount your TV's, this doesn't apply to you. The TV stand is not rock-solid. By no stretch of the imagination will the TV fall off, but it does teeter if rocked. It does not move at all 99% of the time (namely, when you simply leave it alone). - Remote control: The remote control is also minimalistic, but perhaps too much so. There's only very few buttons on it, and with barely any labels, there is a learning curve there. Plus, the power button is a little too sensitive. I've accidentally pressed it a handful of times now. Programming a new remote control is recommended. - Lack of 3D. If you do not care about 3D, then this again doesn't apply to you. Samsung's 2015 and 2016 lineup forces you to choose between HDR or 3D. It's a simple matter of which feature you value more. Better quality picture, or a unique viewing experience? I chose the former, but could understand people wanting the latter.

The picture is amazing, the smart TV features are fast, it was easy to set up, and the curved screen makes you feel like you are IN whatever show/movie/video game you have on the screen. Even the remote is sleek and minimalist and can be set up to work with your cable box and other peripherals. This thing even has a feature where I can read Live Tweets on the screen as my show is playing. It is pricy, but it is also high quality, so to me it was worth it.

While there are many noteworthy features about this TV, the three that I appreciate the most are: #1..the ease of set-up. You can't get any simpler! #2..the remote - WOW. No more having to fight 30+ buttons. I think there are less than ten. SOOO easy and the buttons and their respective actions very intuitive. For instance, the up/down volume button doubles as the mute, and the up/down channel button doubles as the Guide. The remote pulls all functions together seamlessly. Oh, did I mention that it responds to verbal commands? Yea! #3..the picture quality and the curved screen. Together they are a pleasure for my eyes. Not only is the picture clear as a bell, the curved aspect of the screen is also definitely therapeutic on my eyes. Prior to buying this unit I read so many technical reviews on TVs that I got a headache. Every guru liked something different from the previous guru. Frankly all the techy jargon and graphs plain put me to sleep. I knew what features I wanted, I went to Best Buy to check which system had them, decided on Samsung instead of Sony, and then the only decision I had to make was the size. I initially purchased the 55 inch because that is what I had at home - only to find out that what I really wanted was the 65 inch version. Go for the gusto - it is worth it. Suffice it to say that my wife and I love this TV. AND, she has finally found a remote control that she likes (extra credit for me)!! A negative to consider is that it does not accommodate older technology connections. Pretty much limited to HDMI and USB.

I am a believer of the curved TV

At first I thought the curved TV was a gimmick and would fade as time went on. I went into Best Buy looking for this exact TV in the flat screen model. A Best Buy associate took me through a little tour of the differences between the flat and curved TV's and actually showed me the vantage point difference between the two when your sitting at the sides of the TV. I saw what he was talking about but still didn't fully believe that all angles of the TV are better for viewing. Debated between the 55" and 65" for a little while and quickly realized that I would regret not getting the 65". The price was right on this TV and the curved TV just simply looks gorgeous. So I decided to go with it as I had 15 days to return it if I didn't like it. Well I hung that beauty on my wall and it took no more then 2-3 days before I was a full on believer of the curved TV and its viewing angles. I have a seat to the very left of the TV which was not really possible to watch anything with a flat screen as I would need to move the seat up in order for people to see. With the curved TV, I didn't need to move the seat at all. I had people come over and test it out and they all agreed that they could see the screen great from where they were. This is not to mention how gorgeous the picture itself is on this TV. Its incredible, true colors, amazing definition. To all buyers I say, you will not regret this purchase.

I absolutely love this TV. Previously, we were running a Samsung 51" plasma, roughly six years old. To its credit, the plasma is still running strong, we just felt it was time to upgrade. Picture is amazing, ans stunningly clear. I have paired it with a Xbox One S, capable of 4K as well as upgrading all my streaming services to support 4K. Even older movies and shows look amazing. We binge watched cartoons, and they were incredible. I was on the fence about the curved Vs. non-curved but I am glad I went with the curve. Glare seems to be almost non-existent, and I can sit anywhere in my living room and still see clearly. Super easy set up, taking only about 10 minutes before I was connected to my home network and off and running. Check for firmware updates, as there was one out for me. I have since run a color calibration after letting the tv get sufficient use ( may not be needed any longer, but old habits blah blah) and stunning is the only word I can come up with. We also upgraded our soundbar at the same time, which along with other reviews is highly recommended as speakers on TV's haven't really hit the mark lately. If you are in the market for a new TV, i'd highly recommend this unit!

I am an Expert Audiophile for over 50 years. This is replacing a Sony XBR 4 ( i own 2, a 40" & a 48"), that i bought about 9 years ago. It is bar none the best tv ever made. This new Samsung is the first tv i have seen that would make want to buy a new one. I did all the research, all the homework, and i will tell you, this IS THE TV TO BUY! It is worth every dollar. Believe me, i know. The picture is beyond amazing, gaming is through the roof. SUHD 4k is the ULTIMATE! Make sure you hard wire it to the router with an ethernet cable, so you can stream through you tube and watch 4k content( 4k drones) and also be able to upgrade firmware. For me wanting to replace an XBR say's it all. Could have bought it elswhere, but decided to buy it at Best Buy and take advantage of the 24 month, no interest option. I own every Apple Device, all bought there with the Best Buy card. There customer service is the best, and so are their prices. I bought this TV on Black Friday, and get this, they delivered it for free, the following morning! Make sure you buy some bluetooth headphones so you can watch tv late at night and not bother anyone. You will not want to shut this tv off. Made my Christmas this year, sending everyone i know there. My best friend just bought one. Get the 8 series, you won't be dissapointed.

I purchased this tv as a Christmas present for my husband. I had it delivered early (December 5th) to catch him completely off guard. He had been looking at the 4K tv's in Best Buy for about a year. When he came home from work that day, I had it already wrapped and ready for him to tear open. He had NO idea that I planned to get this for him. When he came down the steps to our family room and saw the large, wrapped box, he stood there speechless with his mouth opened. He looked at me and said, what are you doing? I said "open it". He tore off part of the wrapping paper and saw "Samsung Curved". The tears started flowing from his eyes he was so happy! He called his son over to help him set it up and the picture looked even better than it did in the store!!! Beautiful tv!! Needless to say, my husband is very happy with his new toy! Thank you Samsung for creating a Masterpiece!!

Picture in the store really impressed me. Didn't think I would like the curved screen as much as I do now. After getting the TV on the wall (which required a dedicated trip to the hardware store for the mounting bolts that were not included) I was really impressed with the Smart Navigation system. Really makes watching steaming content easier than watching cable TV. Pulls your recently viewed Netflix and Amazon Prime videos to the navigation bar so getting back to your video is super quick and easy. Netflix navigation is also super fast compared to any of my other devices. I like the "Extra" content feature as well when watching football games, brings up all the stats on the sidebar while watching the game. The simple remote took some getting used to, but now I wouldn't go back. Really easy to use and the voice command is pretty good. My legacy Yamaha receiver wasn't in the setup list which is the only negative I can think of.

I did my due diligence researching this TV. Not only reading reviews, but comparing it in-store. The curved screen keeps the proper perspective on all scenes. The details and colors are truly amazing. The 9000 series, which is touted as having better motion control (reduced motion blur), at a significantly higher price, would have been a mute point for us. This 8500 handles all motion scenes (movies, sports, etc), without issue. We are not completely crazy about the minimalist remote. Most notable is, to change channels, you either use voice commands, or press a small bump button on the remote. Then, an on-screen number display appears. You have to then scroll through and select your channel number. Very slow and annoying. We purchased a Harmony Universal Remote with the TV, so for us the Samsung remote is not an issue. We would definitely suggest this TV to others.

Curved, 65 inches, silver lining and feet. The thing looks beautiful! The picture is great and, being a smart tv, it has the ability to link up to my soundbar and uhd bluray player. (If I switch the source to my player, it turns on automatically) The remote is sleek and stylish, but did not come with a conventional remote with the colored buttons and numbers I'm accustomed to. (Not a big deal as the remote from my last samsung works seamlessly with it) No 3D, which is only dissappointing because I bought a bunch of titles for my last tv which was 3D. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase, and I'm making my friends jealous!

This replaces my 2012 UN55ES7500 which had a great picture, and I really liked. And yet, I can say there is definitely a 4 year increment in performance and quality in this TV. Set up went very well, for cable box, Galaxy S6, home theater 5.1 interface, Wi-Fi/router for internet and my network media access. Streaming video is really excellent. I am also running (on different floors) a UN78HU9000 and a UN55JS8500 for comparison. Unpacking really goes better with (at least) 2 people - special notices are provided to assure you don't get your fingers on the screen. This TV is wall mounted, so the 51 lbs. is appreciated when lifting it up to the bracket - also, the dual corner legs are very handy for lifting the unit up to the wall mount since they pop right off when your done. This really helps avoid touching the screen in the process, as well as avoiding the power switch/menu navigation button on the lower right. The curved screen is a very nice benefit for this size and larger. As usual, I am having fun getting used to the new remote and menus. Still hoping for an accessory wall bracket, or other means, for mounting the One Connect box to a wall or cabinet.

Absolutely love this tv! I was skeptical about the curved screen, but after a few days I didn’t even notice it. The picture is so big and clear that you can see the pores on people’s faces! Sometimes if watching a really dark movie the black colors can look a little funky, but otherwise no complaints!

I was able to luckily snag this TV as an open box, $300 off the normal store price. Since it arrived, I've loved it. The Smart menu is fast and quick to get to my shows off Amazon or Netflix (considerably faster than my 50 inch Samsung from 2013). There are already UHD movies to watch on Amazon for free (with subscription) and to purchase, so I have been able to enjoy several movies in 4K already. Of course, I'm looking forward to that library growing within the next year. The picture is superb. I keep my movie settings pretty standard without additional manipulation or motion settings. I did just get an XBOX OneS so I will utilize the HDR functions soon. Initially the curve of the TV does create some long horizontal reflections of lights in my kitchen behind me. I considered moving it to another room, but then just got in the habit of turning the kitchen light off. Other times, I don't think about the reflection and don't notice. That is the only consideration I would give someone looking into a curved vs flat screen. Otherwise I love the picture and the look of the TV. I prefer the curved screen, which I forget about when engrossed in a film or show. It's really one of the best TV's out there unless you go OLED, but I wonder if the deep blacks of OLED would cause even worse reflections in my house (even though the picture is amazing). Highly recommended! The TV is like new despite being Open Box...don't see any flaws. I did buy a straight Samsung soundbar to go under it and think it looks and sounds great. Personally I don't think the higher priced curved soundbars would necessarily look or sound. There were a few days delay bc of lack of communication between Best Buy and Geek Squad delivering the TV because they had my wrong phone number and couldn't relay the correction despite many calls over 3 days. The Geek Squad delivery guys were super nice and helpful getting the TV hooked up and ready to enjoy, so forgive and forget.

I shopped around quite a bit for TVs and found this make/model to have all of the features that were important to me for the price point. The picture is AMAZING, and the curve definitely gives a sexy look while helping to reduce glare. The setup was easy, and I'm a HUGE fan of the Samsung one connect, especially because my TV is mounted in an in-wall entertainment center so fishing the (1) Samsung OneConnect cable made it super simple!! And I love that this TV has Bluetooth capability built-in! Great job Samsung and THANKS BEST BUY FOR AN AWESOME PRICE!

I researched quite awhile before settling on this model. I am very happy with it for a number of reasons. The room it is in has lot of windows on multiple walls and I was worried about flat verses curved screen. The curved screen works great for my needed placement. Very happy. I replaced a 42" Panasonic plasma that had great blacks. I was worried about LED but have not been dissapointed. There are a lot of settings and amazing detail and have enjoyed tweaking them. Very easy. I like the streaming menu and use Amazon Prime and Netflix mostly. Sports are amazing

I had to get a new TV after my old Samsung TV suddenly had pixelated lines appearing on the screen. I had Geeksquad warranty so they gave me credit for my old TV and I used the credit to buy this TV. I'm not super techy and I don't nitpick on the little specs so to me, this TV is awesome. I have Samsung phones and Samsung theater speakers. They integrate well together. It connects faster to the internet than my old tv did. Also, the HD quality is great. I love seeing the sweat and pores of people. It took a while for us to get used to the colors. You do need to tweak it until you're satisfied with the color scheme. On my old TV, the automatic colors were good enough. On this one, it might be good in one movie or channel but the color scheme might not work for another channel or movie. Usually, the best is a standard or dynamic mode but if the lights are off, the movie mode is better for your eyes. This is also the first time we have gotten a curve TV. Honestly, I don't see a difference. Our previous TV was 60 inches and this one is a 65 inch but because of the curve, it doesn't look bigger than our previous one. It actually looks like they're the same size. Some reviewers and articles say that a curve TV looks more realistic because the images have more depth. Whatever. I don't know. I would disagree about how curve TVs are not good when you're watching on the side though because our curve TV is good to watch wherever you sit even if it's on the side. Lighting wise, it is true that there might be more light reflected on the screen especially if the TV is near a window (which mine is) but it's not bothersome as people might think it would be. I don't really even realize the lighting until I consciously think about it. I would say a couple of things I don't like about the TV though. They're more physical than any real problems with the TV. First, I like the old stand on my old TV (UN60F8000BFXZA). It had a lower stand which I feel made the TV more stable. This TV is a few inches higher and I feel like if an earthquake hits, the TV would just topple over compared to my old TV. Second thing is the remote. It looks like an apple TV remote. You could easily lose it. My old TV came with two remotes, one standard looking one and a small touch screen one. This should have came with two remotes too for those old school consumers (like me) who would have wanted to use an old school remote. Get the TV. It's awesome. Get the Geeksquad warranty. They're awesome.

This curved TV has an outstanding picture and the curve removes the reflections from windows and lights! Sound is satisfactory and a sound bar has not been needed. The only challenges have been with the Samsung control(clicker) on recorded programs. I have direct TV and we like to record shows. The clicker has a fast forward but not a skip ahead 30 seconds. That is sorely missed. Samsung control integration with Roku is not available either so we are still using three controls.
