We recently moved into a larger home so naturally I needed a larger TV. ;-) After months of research online and in stores, I decided to purchase this little beauty and I have been completely amazed and satisfied! I'd seen the bright picture of the Samsung TV's in the stores but several online reviews mentioned that they didn't like the TV in a dark room...I say they're crazy! The first night we had the TV set up, the kids wanted to watch some animated fairy movie nonsense and I found myself completely immersed in a wonderland of colors! The curve really gives the TV depth...to the point where my 7 year old said she was getting dizzy. It took no time for her to get used to the picture though. I will say when watching football, I sometimes wish I could have made myself spend the extra $700 for the 8 series to get the 240hz refresh rate but at the end of the day, I wasn't going to spend the money. For the price, this is hands down the best TV around. It was plug and play, extremely intuitive with my Samsung phone. I'm as Samsung girl through and through, however this is my first Samsung TV...I will never go back!!

The good features on the HU8550 are not as numerous as those of the HU9000 but there are still plenty of them and what you do get, you get for a much lower price than should be necessary for a 65 inch 4K TV. For starters, the 8550’s greatest aspect is probably its price. For the screen size and features this TV gives you, the $2,997 price tag compares very nicely to that of the HU9000 and a number of other 4K TVs from LG or Sony. This isn’t to say that this TV is as ideally priced, it just does better in this regard than other arguably over-priced counterparts and Samsung cousins. Next, there are all the features. As we’d already mentioned, they are numerous and quite comprehensive. From Ultra Clear Panel technology to HEVC decoding to the full Smart TV package with Smart Hub, the H8550 has almost everything you could want in a 4K TV and lacks only a few features that you don’t really need anyhow. Furthermore, the screen size is excellent. At 65 inches, this model offers a package that is neither cumbersomely large nor underwhelmingly small. In fact, it’s perfect even for larger home entertainment spaces.

The size of this tv is good for my living room not to small or not to big i just love how it fits well.The quality of product is really good, the color just amazes me. I had bad luck with other samsung tvs and this one has been perfect. When I first purchased it the volume was really high being on the low numbers. It's a pretty good quality tv.

I have enjoyed many hours with the largest screen I'd want to put in my living room. Great picture. Nice features. So-so but simple remote. One thing I am waiting for Samsung to fix, via update, is the software. I avoid using the apps in the UI for the TV-- some of those are poorly written and crash the system. Amazon in particular. However, even with my Apple TV or cable provider as input, the system will crash and reboot for no apparent reason. I've got great data input (50-60 mbps dl, 5 mbps ul). Just waiting for the update from Samsung that does the trick for stability of the system. The last update was two days ago. Any day now...

This TV has surpassed my expectations on picture quality and aesthetics. It does look great sitting in my living room. I personally love the curved screen and think anyone in the market for a new TV should consider one for themselves. Some are scared that it will inhibit their viewing angle or change the way the picture looks. This could not be further from the truth. The curved screen does not inhibit my viewing angle what so ever! Heck I watch the TV from the kitchen at a roughly 100 degree angle and I can't even tell the screen has a curve. The picture quality is superb. The UHD capability really pops. If you've never experienced 4K TV it truly is amazing. Xbox 1 games look insanely good and I must say I'm getting lazy becuase of this TV and how good these dang games look!! Battlefield 1 is especially beautiful. The sound quality is above average and I am happy with it but I do use my Klipsch and Denon surround the majority of the time. The Smart functions are super easy to use and responsive. My one complaint is that when I run optical out to my Denon receiver it defaults to PCM when I change sources. Maybe I am doing something wrong but I have not been able to figure out what? So when I switch from cable to Xbox I have to go in the menu and switch the source code to DTS or Dolby otherwise its defaulted to PCM (stereo). Luckily the menu is intuitive and snappy which makes doing this a breeze. I would 110% buy this TV again!! Especially if it's on sale at the price i got it for $1188.

This is a the best tv i have ever seen or own and i got this for 999$ On black friday deals the picture quality is amazing sound is amazing easy to use and setup love everything about this tv i compare this with vizio lg panasonic the they cant compete with samsung no matter what. If you found this tv in a great price must buy without looking further :)

I spent many hours reviewing tv's before purchasing. This TV has an Amazing picture and with the curve feature in 4k almost makes it 3 dimensional. So real it's almost fake looking lol. Where the hookups are makes it easy to run all my wires through the wall as I had so no cables are showing when hung. Very pleased with the purchase.

I spent an hour or so reviewing UHD TV's online, picked 4 brands and models and headed over to Best Buy to see for myself. There are some awesome TV's this season! Yes, there were some better looking TV's, but IMO the price point of them just wasn't worth the extra $$. Spent nearly 2 hours just standing in front of them and looking from one to the other. (yes, I'm ocd). Got down to the Samsung being the best looking set, and the 65 series being the best value. The more I looked at the curved screen, the more it seemed (in real life) to have a slight edge over the flat one in the same model. At home, I was pleased with my decision. Setup was a breeze, and default settings were pretty close to perfect. It is very fast and intuitive, and connects to both local and internet networks super fast. Picture quality is superb. I held back one star for a mildly irritating component of the enhancement firmware. When looking at faces, going from, say a face to a white shirt collar, there is a visible black border between the two. I don't see it from a moderate distance, but closer inspection shows this feature to be excessive. I never dreamed I could get a 65 in class UHD TV for under a thousand dollars. Keeping that in perspective, IMO, this one is among 3 top choices for the "sweet spot" between price and picture/features, or to put it another way, GREAT VALUE. Yes, I would buy it again.

Was very easy to set up. Wonderful images. The only thing I really don't like is the remote, they just need to give a regular remote with all the regular buttons you would find on a remote control, don't know why they had to go and stream line it.

Loving our new smart TV! That fact that we can watch Netflix, YouTube, iHeartRadio and much more without having all the different equipment has been great! Didn't think I would like a curve but the picture is amazing from anywhere in our living room, which is pretty big. Definitely two thumbs up!!

We were amazed when we first watched our new TV. The picture was so clear, as if you were there. The screen is huge, we love it. We wall mounted our TV which was a good idea for us, you can move the TV just where you want it. The set up was easy, and any adjustments to picture mode are readily available. This TV is easy to operate. Love,Love,Love

I have owned several Samsung TVs and they have all been excellent televisions, the smart hub (and software) has not always been so smart...until now. The Smart Hub is great. I find that I am, already, using my beloved AppleTV less with this new Smart Hub. Plus, there are apps for Amazon and VUDU - PERFECT! The picture quality is excellent, great blacks, the curve makes it even more immersive. And, if that is not enough, the new Smart Control Remote is AMAZING. It not only controls the television and its apps, but it controls my DirecTV Genie, AppleTV (4th Gen), and SONOS home theater setup. Very pleased with this purchase.

Love the curve. Picture is perfect, just wished it had 120hz, but all in all the motion blue is a minimum. Would recommend this.

Was looking for a new 4K TV for our downstairs family room. This was an open box item, UHD and curved. Once I got it on the wall and turned it on, the picture was so great. Amazing thing about this TV is as a Smart TV, so many features and apps available. Logged in to all my streaming services such as Netflix, HULU, and my Vudu account. Nice not having to have an additional box to use those. Also, my Galaxy S7 EDGE phone connects right with the TV. I use it for the Web OS browser. A great purchase that will be enjoyed by the whole family. My boys love the YouTube app to watch their favorite videos.

Love this TV, picure is amazing. Great TV, especially for the price. 4k movies are the best on this TV. I have no glare issues with this TV either, some reviews I read people were talking about some slight glare issues.

This is a great tv for my family. I considered going with a smaller screen in order to get SUHD and stay in budget but my wife wanted the bigger screen. I'm happy we went her way because a) the picture quality is fantastic and b) most of the programming in my area is either HD or UHD anyway. I'm not even sure where I'd get SUHD programming if I'd gotten that TV instead. Also, I was concerned that the curve would make it hard to see the picture if you're sitting to the side but this has been a non-issue. We have a lot of kids so only Mom and Dad get the seats right in front of the tv, but all the kids love the TV. The remote is a minimalist joy to use and the whole thing was very straightforward when setting up. Definitely recommend.

Tv has beautiful picture, ease of use, and sleek look. Only complaint would be that some apps freeze up easily.

When you are putting that much money down on a new piece of home theatre equipment, you'd be a fool to go in blind. I had weighed the pros and cons feature for feature among three similarly prices TV's and ultimately came down on the side of the curved screen. it just fit in the space I had allotted the best and I couldn't be happier with the picture. as for the sound bar, I had my doubts that it would give the same illusion of separation as speakers placed far apart, but i'll be darned if it doesn't. and spend the extra buck and get the wireless rear surround speakers to go with the soundbar, you won't regret it
