Almost Perfect TV, Lacking Two Things

When watching my new Samsung TV at night, I get tired of fumbling with the remote to pause the stream or change devices. Plus this TV needs one more input port. As it is I'll have to either switch device output cords (lame) or buy a splitter switch and connect it to two of my peripheral devices.

Thank you for your review of the Samsung TU7000 TV. We are happy to hear you are enjoying your product and appreciate your feedback on the volume and remote. To help with both of these things here are a few troubleshooting tips which might help.
First, let's check to make sure you are running the most up to date firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to Settings > Support > Software Update and update from here if needed.
Next, there are several volume features you can enable/disable/adjust.
1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input.
2) Adaptive Volume automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source.
3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > Sound > Sound Mode
Also, some sources have their own volume control which might be set too low. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try cable connection again.
