I waited 4 months to review this TV so I could have plenty of "seat time" with it before sharing my thoughts. I purchased it in August when my brother alerted me to a one day sale on the 8 series, and I drove an hour to the only Best Buy that still had the TV in stock. I bought it for $599 and could not be happier. The picture quality is excellent for movies, and the response time has been excellent for video games. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of sound from the built-in speakers, a common weak point with such a thin TV. The "smart" features work well, with an easy-to-use interface and very quick load times when switching from app to app. My gripes are few: It's an edge lit display, so not as bright as a back lit TV. I get some minor reflections from lights and windows when watching during the day. Shifting my viewing angle slightly takes care of that. The remote is tiny and easily lost in between couch cushions (first world problems). That's it. Otherwise, a phenomenal deal on a very good TV.

The Samsung 65" Class 8 series LED 4K UHD was very easy to put the stand on and put in place. Logging into WIFI and adding cable services was very easy and intuitive. I highly recommend this unit. It was a large screen, but not too large for our entertainment center. Very happy with the unit so far.

This tv has the best picture quality!! The sound is great. The ease of use is great. We’ve owned many different TVs but the last 3 we have bought have been Samsung and they have always been the best quality, and last what seems like forever. Personally, they are the best tv brand out there and this tv is amazing

Got the 65” Class 8 Samsung for $600 for Best Buy’s anniversary sale. The tv itself has a great picture, with plenty of features and apps (including HBO max). Also, the remote is great. It makes my cable remote and my fire stick irrelevant. One remote to rule them all. I’ll continue to buy Samsung TV’s.

This TV is great for the price and has tons of great features. The picture is beautiful when watching movies and gaming. I highly recommend this TV. I was between this and the RU7000 and I do not regret spending the extra money for this TV. Totally worth it.

We had originally bought the same tv in 7 series, but it stood much higher and the volume was not nearly as good! After we switched it for the 8 series it was a night and day different. It didn’t sit on the stand awkwardly high and no need for a sound bar. Definitely worth the price different between the two series!!

I purchased this 8 series to replace a 6 series and I must say the improvement over the other series is great, this tv has an amazing picture and plenty of features, I love to the remote as it’s similar to the one with previous tv but new feature is its universal capabilities and can be used with other devices.

You can't go wrong with Samsung when you're in the market for a new TV. Picture quality and the colors on this model are outstanding. Speakers are pretty solid for if you don't plan to go with surround sound or a soundbar. Remote is nice for controlling several devices. I am definitely satisfied with this TV for my family room.

I would rate this 5 stars given the price and reasonably bright and colorful display, but if you want the best picture possible, be prepared to tinker around with the settings. It isn't the most accurate display out there in terms of color representation, but for the average user it's sufficient, great even. It is a VA pannel so it has great black levels and decent mids and brights. For Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) content, it achieves a peak brightness of around 400 nits. For High Dynamic Range (HDR) content, brightness comes in a bit lower, around 370-380 nits. This TV barely scrapes by achieving their claim of HDR10+, which recommends around 400 nits of brightness. For those who play games, this might be the best budget option for a large 4k gaming setup. When game mode is enabled, the response time (input lag) hits 15ms, which is incredible given the price of this model. It also supports refresh rates of up to 120hz, and supports FreeSync! It opens up a lot of possibilities, like using it as a giant PC monitor. Easy hook up and set up. The hole locations for mounting did require me to raise the bracket on the wall. Pleased so far with picture. Nice to be able to watch Netflix, Amazon and other web based programs without a second device. It is also nice that the minimalistic remote can operate the DirecTV box.

I originally bought the Vizio M Series but the picture just didn’t seem clear as I thought it should so I took it back added another $150 and got the Samsung and couldn’t be happier. The picture is bright and clear and set up was easy. A big difference over the Vizio. I would definitely recommend this tv.

I recently bought a Samsung series 8 4K UHD 65” TV. I’m very happy with it. The series 8 has a 240 refresher rate. There’s no grainy or blurry picture even with live sports. The remote is smaller than usual without all the buttons. The buttons are now on screen. I also like the Samsung streaming channels.

Picture is great and I love all the apps I can add. The picture modes are great and sound is decent. I did add a samsung sound bar with sub and that improved the sound quite a bit. Also works great with my series x although it cannot do 120hz at 4k, it can do 60hz at 4k.

Samsung - 65" Class 8 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV What an amazing TV. It is like you are there. Easy install and set-up. I watch a lot of sporting events and movies. Connected to a wireless surround sound system. Using a Monster surge protector to protect all the components.

Needed to replace my 13 year old tv and wanted a bigger screen. decided to upgrade to a 4K UHD and Smart TV too. Glad I did. WOW, watch some movies I thought were great with special effects, this blew me away with the depth and colors. Love the smart tv too, been able to remove my box to do my over the air tv.

It’s a great TV, I like the HD a lot, sounds great, but what I like the most is that you can have everything there without necessity of extras for example I use an Apple TV with other TV and I could get the app and use it exactly the same with these TV without the Apple TV there. It’s great and easy to use!

Beautiful tv, great picture, great sound. Comes with amazing apps and some things I have never had on my previous smart TVs. It even allows you to connect your Apple ID directly to to the Apple TV app that the TV has. Which is a total plus, I almost purchased a new Apple TV recently, so I saved 200 bucks :)

Very easy set-up, and a beautiful picture. Wish the remote was a little bigger, it's so small and lightweight it is easy to lose track of and to drop. Most but not all features work on our Frontier cable remote, so we have to keep the Samsung remote handy to change volume.

Bought this for my parents to replace a 55 inch LG. This TV has good picture quality and the speakers are loud and clear. Easy to setup and use. Like that I can connect all my Samsung phones and tablets with ease. Got it at a good price and would buy again.

Delivery personnel were friendly and professional, they also wore masks. Item arrived unscratched and set up was straight forward and easy. The TV quality is very good to the money you will be paying and the features are very easy to navigate and set up was easy as well.
