And also a dark line running down from top to bottom. In the picture you can see both lines. Very disappointed with the quality of this TV.

Horrible backlight, blacks, and screen issues

After turning on I noticed very uneven blacks and backlight issues at the bottom and top right counter. After three service calls with Samsung, a replaced panel, and a couple other things, the issue persists. At this point Samsung says it’s within their specs and is refusing to replace. Unless they resolve adequately I won’t buy another Samsung TV.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Horrible tv and best buy service no info was given to me about how fragile the tv is and they sold me a swivel mount and with very little pressure pushing on the sides the tv cracked near the middle within 10 days of ownership best buy referred me to Samsung who came out said they won't fix under warranty and that put best buy 15 day return out so I'm mow stuck with brand new broke tv very bad customer service

TV SUCKS

This television is no longer available. I purchased a warranty and called on today 18 August 2022 and they cannot come out until 24 August 2022 between 12noon and 8 pm. So now I have no TV to watch unles i want to see yellow and blue.

Over the past few months it has developed big dark and cloudy spots on 6-7 seemingly random places all over the screen. Cost over $800. Will stick with Vizio from now on.

I am very sorry to hear that you are experiencing power cycling issue with your TU8000 TV.
Please try a few trouble-shooting steps that may help solve the issue:
1.Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
2. TVs which can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on.
If you do not want this function, navigate to Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off.
If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will need service.

Very happy with my selection!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We got our Samsung 65” Class 8 delivered just a few hours ago @ 8:15am. Opened the box after breakfast, set it up in less than 10mins to get it going (if you know what you’re doing) and another 5 to log into my other apps. We made sure to unbox it carefully based on some concerns in some of the reviews I’ve read (in case I need to return it). I watched Wonder Woman, vivid colors. I can see were it could be darker especially when it’s filmed at night. I adjusted the brightness to full. I watched Avengers End Game, not bad at all. I read about the lag moving from app to app, really? it’s not a big deal to me. I use Roku but I don’t think I’ll be needing it with the Samsung TV+. The remote maybe a bit smaller for people with big hands but it’s fits mine perfectly. With AA battery, it give some weight to it. It’s day 1 for us and as of right now, I’m giving it 4 stars. We’ll see in a few months for now. I also purchased 2 years warranty just in case. Hoping I won’t be needing it. Good purchase!

Great TV at a Great Price!

The set up was a breeze, and adding a sound bar was a snap. The TV was much lighter than the one we were replacing, so it was no problem to get it hung on the wall. Overall build seems quality as most Samsung’s are, so I have faith that it will last a long time. The Ambient mode was nice, tons of built in apps, so you don’t need an external streamer if you don’t want to. Great TV, very happy with purchase, and highly recommend.

The picture is sharp and crisp. I haven't noticed any blurring playing console games in 4k. I don't like this minimalist remote control and while the TV will turn on my console, it won't auto switch to the 3rd HDMI port when I turn the console on with the controller. Hopefully it is a setting some where I've overlooked. The only other issue I am experiencing is with a old sound bar, but I suspect it is a problem with the sound bar.

The motion rate on this TV is nothing like my plasma. Sometimes it seems to look pixelated, which due to the motion at 120hz. My Samsung plasma was 600hz. That means the screen can move 600times a second, vs this tv at only 120 times. The smart portion of this TV works flawlessly, and is easy to use/navigate. Would buy a faster TV next time. Colors, and everything else is ok. Sound is decent. Good "cheaper/reasonable" version of a 65" TV. Would not buy another.

Better than a Toshiba

Some people may have trouble, so far quality of picture is outstanding, very satisfied so far. The remote is somewhat awkward for me it’s very slim and does not fit a mans large hands other than that I’m completely happy with this TV
